This is a place holder for the party Xeratheax's Children, a group of good (arguably) adventurers duped by thier twisted patron.

Jacob Nally lost his family in a fire that burned down his village, and found his life without purpose with his wife and children gone. He began to wander the countryside, before arriving in a small village under the shadown of the Wyrmhome mountians. It was in the small inn "The Blue Badger" that he heard the bard sing about a group of holy group of adventurers with the power of a dragon on their side. He was entranced by the beutiful song of the party's triumph over evil. He decided, being a former adventurer himself that he would go to the dragon's lair and join the Children's fight.

Xeratheax's Children is a group of adventurers in the service of a Great Wyrm Gold Dragon named Xeratheax. The Children spend most of thier time around the mountain lair of Xeratheax, defending the many wyrmlings that reside around there and imparting knowledge and healing on what ever good souls feel the need to brave the perilous journey to the far off lair. However, if a great evil arises they may be sent out to destroy it.

At least thats what Xeratheax's Children believe.

In fact, Xeratheax is not what he seems. Xeratheax is an extremely rare curse against dragon kind, born as a Gold Dragon, his views of right and wrong are twisted. He believes that the only way good will triumph in this world is if he is the sole ruler, and believes any means justify this end. He is currently spending his time raising an army of young dragons, stolen from other dragon nests, fed from hatching his strange philosophies. To improve his force, Xeratheax assembeld the Cildren to train and suplament his army. As Xeratheax reaches the end of his life he realizes that he must soon mobalize his army.

The Children are composed of 5 individuals. Each is listed below with a short history on how they came to join the Children.

Jered Lestrad, "Paladin" of the Children
Jered Lestrad was a boy in search of a cause, a cause that he spent his whole life looking for. He wanted to become a paladin after hearing the stories of the great works that the members of the Order did in battle. He joined the Order of the Falcon group for a while until he heard of a temple specialized in training paladins. He decided to go seek this out and fufill his destany once and for all. Xeratheax got to him first. Xeratheax convinced Jered to join his fight instead. He gave Jered the gold dragon scale armor he wears, telling him of the "great sacrifice" the dragon that provided the material to make it under took. Xeratheax actually made the armor out of his sister's hide after he killed her for not going along with his "noble plan." In Xeratheax's twisted view of morality, he simply put his sister to better use in the his campaign for worldwide order.

*Regulator is a +1 Adamantine Axiomatic Defending Greatsword forged several centuries ago by an unknown dwarf lord who gave it as a present to Xeratheax's father, whom gave it Xeratheax to help guide his son's nature. "Let this sword be the rule that guides your life," where the last words that Xeratheax heard from his father whom considered the sword's Axiomatic nature a good regulator for his son's strange tendancies. Every thing Xeratheax does is cooly contemplated almost for years in advance and had not set off the sword. Thinking he no longer needed its guidence Xeratheax gave it to Jered as a gift for his loyalty. On the blade in anchient dwarven script (DC 25 decipher script) is writen "Loyalty and honor, to defend and keep."

Purina Trueheart, Keeper of the Children
Purina was a prommising young cleric in the costal town of Tradeport when she recieved the calling of Pelor to go on a pilgrimage to the Wyrmspine mountains to visit an anchient shrine dedicated to the works of one perticularly pious Gold Dragon. That dragon was in fact Xeratheax's father, who had left about 50 years ago on the onset of Twilight (See Dracomonicon). When his father left, Xeratheax checked the site dedicated to his father deciding that it was his birthright. Upon inspection, Xeratheax found a great treasure inside of it, the minor artifact Tear of the Sun (explained later). Purina nearly lost her life on the mountians in a landslide and was rescued by Jered. When she came to, Purina was shocked by the beauty of her surroundings, which was Xeratheax's lair and thanked her rescuer. Thinking that Xeratheax was the dragon the shrine was dedicated too, she soon joined his holy efforts. To cement their relationship, Xeratheax gave Purina a the Tear of the Sun to replace her wooden holy symbol that she lost in the landslide. Purina was captivated by it beauty and amazed on how close to her diety she felt when it was around her. In reccent years, she has felt weary of the often violent missions that she is sent on by Xeratheax, but she sticks with her golden patron beliving it is her calling from Pelor, who would send her some sign if she were ering from the path.
In fact, the Tear of the Sun is an actual drop of Pelor's blood surrounded by a beautiful holy symbol. The artifact radiates a powerful aura of good so powerful that it blots out any other aura for 120 feet around the posseser (ie detect alignment spells always show extreme good). Despite this aura, the Tear of the Sun provides no detrimental effects to evil characters who posess it. This is because the Tear of the Sun is a seperate entity from the God of the Sun, and while it exudes good, it is nothing more than a divine power source. The Tear of the Sun can give spells per day to any cleric of Pelor whom prays with it, even if they have strayed beyond the religions practices of the religion.

Gah, school gets in the way of things. I probably will not be able to finish this in time for the contest, but I will probably finish it sometime. Sorry.
