A certain man was my inspiration for this party, there are some hints to his identity in the party (you're free to guess) .

Party background: About 100 years ago there lived a gnome in the famous city of Olenci. His name was Jacondo Bernoulli and his fame was so great that there wasn't a person in the world who didn't know his name and even now he's well remembered. There was not a field in which he was untalented. In everything he did he achieved great accomplishments. His hunger for knowledge was endless, he excelled in building machines and in art, he had formidable magical abilities, he was a dedicated healer and a respected philosopher.
Naturally there was a great demand for his services from governments and from nobles. As the number of requests increased, he started a lot of projects but rarely finishing any of them, since every time he started one he soon was distracted by a new exciting idea; He was only one gnome and there was so much to be done. Gradually he started to believe that this was a problem that could be solved! He started working on his own special project… But even the great ones make mistakes, often tragic. It's not entirely clear what went wrong, although the most common theory is that to complete the idea he cast a wish spell, and wasn't careful with his words. Instead of creating multiple copies of himself as he intended, he created the Scions – each of them looks like him, but each got only an aspect of his talent, knowledge and personality.
Jacondo himself was subsumed during the creation process in his replicas.

Today the Scions share a unique existence. Each member of the Scions has his own interests and ambitions. They all share vague memories of Jacondo's life, each one retain unique knowledge of certain areas of Jacondo's expertise.
Their bodies still remember that they used to be one, and this has a few interesting consequences: They can't influence each others mind in magical ways, if they go further than a mile away from each other they start feeling sick after a few minutes (This effect increases with time and distance and can lead to death), and If one of them dies, they all die in a week unless he is resurrected.
After a couple of years of arguments they decided that they will take turns in leading the group. Every year another leader chooses their missions and travels and the others must follow.

Personality aspect: The sage
Leon got Jacondo's craving for knowledge. He wants to know everything there is to know. He's the ultimate book worm, his private library in Olenci has several thousands tomes and he read them all. He will go a great length to get some book or a remarkable magic item. He's also fond of riddles and loves to make strange magic items for his amusement, although the party convinced him to make some useful items as well.

Near each portrait there is an indication to the health of the charachter, the owner may speak with any member of the party by touching the portrait, he also at any time ask the wheel to locate a party member in which case an arrow in the center of the wheel will turn to point at the requested location. Once per day the owner may transfer a party member to him through the wheel (as dimension door) The wheels can only be used by the scions.

Ardo got Jacondo's talent for planning and constructing great machines. He's a very skilled engineer capable of building siege weapons, buildings, constructs and effigies. In fact many nobles turn to him when they want a castle planned or weapon built, so he makes quite a good living. His latest project is a giant eagle effigy he started – for himself.

Nature is more fascinating than anything you can imagine and it will never seize to surprise you – Jacondo used to say. Onar got Jacondo's love for nature and exploration. His dream is to visit every place in the world, he has a huge collection of maps, some of them made by him. He will never pass an opportunity to travel – the scions call the years under his leadership “the drift” years because they rarely stay in one place for long at those times.

As much as he loves life he hates the unlife and will strive to destroy any undead he meets.

Devi got the hidden childish aspect of Jacondo's personality: those characteristics were usually well controlled by Jacondo and rarely showed up, but when he was split they surfaced in the form of Devi. He usually behaves in childish way: has little patience , short attention span, often fails to grasp the difference between good and evil. He also got Jacondo's childhood passion for small mechanical things: his grandfather used to show him fascinating mechanical toys. Now he loves to make such toys by himself. Picking locks and dissembling devices is a walk in woods for him.

He loves music, paintings, sculptures and the illusion of beauty they create. He is fascinated by illusions and their affect on the mind and sees illusion spells as a sort of art – he actually once even had a display of illusions created by him.

He believes that healthy mind can only live in healthy body and that martial arts help him get more focused and those follows monks' discipline. He wrote a few books discussing the issues of “Social structure” and “Government basics”.

Very nice party. I liked the concept very much. Very original!!
Certainly Leonardo de-Vinci had enough personality and interests for many people. How did you come up with such an idea?

thank you :D . I was on long bus drive and my mind was drifting at some point I thought that Leonardo de Vinci was way too talented to be just one man, so I made him as seven gnomes.
