So, a few weeks ago I got some help here for my latest jokeish character. A Kobolds ate my Baby themes furry kobold with an iron pot on his head (see image below). However, as of the first gaming session he ended up the most successful (and unhurt) member of the party so far...

Cannon Fodder:

So anyway, as an afterthought while allocating his skills (he is a lv.1 rogue) I got the idea of place a leftover rank in Perform: (Be Uber Cute) (don't ask me why). Amazingly when I tried to pull it off in the starting village of the adventure the DM did not say no to the Perform skill (although he looked quite surprised). So now I have a fluffy dogbold/kobold who can make gold by being uber cute...

Should I invest more ranks into this?

Could I milk this somehow?

Could you take ranks in Bard with this?!

Isn't there a feat or something in a splatbook that lets you use one skill in place of all others (an old DM said you can make Mario that way with the Jump skill...)?

I have to ask. Is that a real deformity?......

Its probably been home brewed somewhere, or in BESM 20. If someone on here wants to home brew it, go ahead.

I believe Gaunt and Obese are the only official deformities, from BoVD, but I could be wrong.

You know when in manga/anime one of the character sudenly is reduced to a small kid with a big head, big puppy eyes and simple traces? That's chibi.

Basically something chibi is that something but smaller(except for the eyes wich probably get bigger), simplier and cuter.

Chibi is a Japanese word, it means small.

Think Toon Link, but with a good artist.

With a skill as daft as that how can you afford to NOT go into bard?

Take Dragonfire Inspiration, too.
*Plays with a piece of string*
Rest of Party: "D-aaaaaw"
Suddenly, they've got 5d6 extra fire damage to their attacks.

I believe Gaunt and Obese are the only official deformities, from BoVD, but I could be wrong. Yes, you could be.

Book of Vile Darkness alone has:
Deformity (Clawed Hands)
Deformity (Eyes)
Deformity (Face) (hideous)
Deformity (Gaunt)
Deformity (Obese)
Willing Deformity

Heroes of Horror adds:
Deformity (Skin) (coarse and tough)
Deformity (Tall)
Deformity (Teeth) (razor-sharp)
Deformity (Tongue)
Willing Deformity (a repeat)

Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss includes:
Claws of the Beast [Abyssal Heritor]

Elder Evils repeats the Heroes of Horror feats, and adds:
Abominable Form
Deformity (Madness)
Deformity (Parasite)

Doubt that you can willingly deform yourself into something cute

Have to say, I laughed.

But I'd say that it'd make more sense if you start performing by crying waterfalls as chibis are wont to do, and sobbing that the enemy has made you cry, and that they're bad, and, and... *sob, sob*

...and your partners feel BURNING RIGHTEOUS HATRED at seeing something so cute be mistreated. The enemy goes "...meep" and is pummeled to death by a team of vengeful adventurers. Then there's hugs and cookies and cuteness for everyone.

Heh. This could be mighty fun.

EDIT: Also, for the fellow who didn't know what a chibi was, Here (http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa18/cracky95/CHIBI.jpg) are (http://www.yodibujo.es/_uploads/membres/articles/20080522/2vxee_chibi92_anp.gif) a (http://aruwanwan.files.wordpress.com/2007/02/chibi-rukia.jpg) few (http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc347/RukiTemaFan21/Motivational%20Posters/chibi.jpg) examples (http://pireze.org/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/b22702-icard-1.jpg) found by a cursory Google search.

Awwwwww, it really is uber cute :) If I were DMing, I'd totally let that pass. People give food to cats or dogs who look uber cute, so why wouldn't it work with Perform? (in fact, you can train an animal to perform to do that but let's not compare that to kobolds...)

Chibi. (http://shurelia.deviantart.com/art/Chibi-Suzumiya-58124702)
Depending on the artist, the body may be even tinier and less detailed and the head bigger.

EDIT: OP: I think as long as the roleplaying is done well, it could pass. The rogue in the Eberron game I'm in has fox ears all the time, and tries to look cute. He doesn't do a very good job of it.

The current Jumpomancer thread just gave me an interesting idea.

Could I use the Exampler class to do the same trick with Perform: (Be Uber Cute)? If so, how would/could I go about building him for this? What feats, items, skills and such?

You don't need Exemplar todo it with Perform. The relevant DCs for attitude changing are in the ELH, but most of the checks aren't epic. The DCs are a bit higher than for Diplomacy, but not that much.

Also you should note that virtuoso can also use perform for diplomacy.

And "virtuoso of cuteness" would make for a pretty awesome title.

i've always wanted to take ranks in Perform (bad stand-up comedy)... the last thing they'll ever heard is a substandard pun
