The Romantic Pond.

Out in the countryside sits a small pond with crystal clear waters. A pair of swans float around the pond and rushes dot most of the shore line. A single overhanging tree with long drooping branches sits by the side of the pond. There are names of past lovers carved into the tree. The whole place is serene and peaceful.

*A young man wearing a purple dress shirt and bow tie and a black suit jacket sits against the tree. He is whistling to himself softly. After a few minutes he stand up and walks into town*

Aubrie and Ryan walk up.

A ragged, badly-beaten brown jeep lurches over the scenery. Its trim is painted gold in what looks like craft paint, and an old-fashioned speaker is rather crudely duct-taped to the top.

A voice calls out:

"Pre-emptively re-elect Rutskarn for councilor! Rutskarn: Because he doesn't have a "Because" slogan. Rutskarn for councilor! Get yer hot fresh Rutskarn for councilor!"

The jeep rattles off.

He lays back and looks up... The first stars having just started to wink into the night sky. Like little gems in black velvet. He sighs contentedly. Only to be surprised when a deadtime ooze pulls him into the pool..Ahhhhhhh.... His scream holds the night time air for a while before dissipating. Startling the pair of sleeping swans into frenzied flight. There is nothing in the pool though..(Deadtime. Night Quin.)

Nyx fell asleep here.

The water remains still and quiet.. The geese drift lazily about the pond.

Nyx wakes, and if she's still alone, she heads back to the inn.

The water ripple and Daniel is shot back out...landing on the shore.. (Feel free to have her leave anyways. What with me leaving in an hour.)

Anyway, after hearing the loud roar, another gold dragon appears on the horizon, flying towards the pond very quickly.
