Everyone who's got a christmas song in there heads put your hand up.
Now keep them up if it's once upon a christmas song.
I CAN'T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD.
What songs can't you get out of your head?
sorry if I've given you this one
(You'll be singing this over and over and over again!).

I find that whenever a song materializes in my head out of nowhere and won't get out, it's always by the Barenaked Ladies.

On the other hand, Jonathan Coulton is pretty insidious as well.

I'm making a note here, huge success.

Listening to several songs of varying genres usually gets the song out and ensures that I won't get another stuck in my head. Usually.

You make it sound like a bad thing.

Well it did give me a reason to spend a half hour at VGCats watching that little flash cartoon until I got tired of humming along. :smalltongue:

But yeah, that song is great.

"That's the world of warcraft that you play!"

It's awesome, true, and annoying.

Also, a parody of a pardoy.

Having a ten year old screech 'Jingle bells Batman smells Robin laid an egg.." at the top of his lungs for ten minutes was the musical highlight of my Christmas to be honest.

It's more than enough to make me dread the holidays. :smalleek:

When I listen to music I tend to listen to the same song over. Thus, it gets fairly entrenched in my head until the next one comes along.
Currently it's Ship Deck 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGd989ZjRKI). Because Ship Deck 2.
Previous ones have included:
-The Future Soon, by Jonathan Coulton, assorted.
-Ace Attorney songs, assorted.
-SSBB songs, assorted.
Various anime songs:
-Cruel Angel's Thesis
-The World Without Logos
-"Libera me" From Hell
-Assorted.

I have many walls of defence against anything particularly insidious.

For some reason, I got See Amid The Winter's Snow, a carol which I have sung, like, 3 times, a couple of weeks ago. Although it got slightly mixed up with As With Gladness Men Of Old, which I sung years ago and can't actually remember.

See, I was happy to have the Black Lagoon intro stuck in my head, but now that I've heard that, I'm singing along to it...

Living in Shanghai means that there are very few annoying Christmas songs to get stuck in your head. Mainly because the shops / radio / tv haven't worked out which songs they should be playing at the public. We will get a few renditions of "Jingle Bells" and very occasionally "Silent Night".
This has been the first year I've heard "The Twelve Days of Christmas" being played in a public place, and I got so excited that I sung the whole thing at my husband until he told me to stop. So I guess that's the closest I can come for you.

I tend to get entire albums stuck in my head, and the songs kind of blend into each other and change at will.

Ah well, that's what I get for listening to Nightfall in Middle Earth on repeat for eight hours . . . I actually don't mind, I love that album.

Oddly enough, your thread title reminded me of "Over" by Evans Blue. But I currently am infected by no ear worms (yay for avoiding all public places for the last two weeks!).
