There are things that should not be eaten. They may be toxic plants or spoiled flesh, reasons religious or cultural mores. Feastfleshed come of unholy stock, beings who dead or while alive were befouled in some manner. Perhaps the angry spirit of a traveler roasted by cannibals or a prince amongst stallions slaughtered for mere provisions. Other times they are prepared specifically to stand and attack those that would eat them. For whatever reason they arise they are maddened by their state and attack savagely those that would consume them.

The boar's naked skin is tinged a bright red from it's cooking and stuffing fills its innards. Steam wafts up from its blackened snout and a fire literally dances in it's charred sockets. It lets out a cry and flame leaps up its tusks as it charges...

Combat
A feastfleshed boar attacks much as it did in life, though with a horrible anger and flash of flame.

Bellyache (Ex): If a feastfleshed boar is swallowed whole it causes the creature's stomach to rupture, automatically dealing the necessary damage required to free itself and is deposited in an adjacent square.

Ferocity (Ex): A boar is such a tenacious combatant that it continues to fight without penalty even while disabled or dying.

Poisoned (Ex): Those that taste of a Feastfleshed boar, or deal damage from a bite attack, must succeed on a DC 15 Fortitude save or take 1d10 points of Constitution damage. One minute later they must make the save again or take an additional 1d10 points of Con damage.

Creating a Feastfleshed Creature

"Feastfleshed" is an acquired template that can be added to any corporeal, living creature except oozes and plants, hereafter referred to as the base creature. A Feastfleshed uses all the base creature’s statistics and special abilities except as noted here.

Size and Type: The creature's type changes to undead. Do not recalculate base attack bonus, saves, or skill points. Size is unchanged.
Hit Dice: Increase all current and future Hit Dice to d12s.
Speed: A feastfleshed creature loses all speed types except for it's land and swim speed unless otherwise mentioned. It's land speed is decreased by 10 feet (minumum 5 feet)
Attack: A feastfleshed retains all the natural, non-supernatural attacks of the base creature and also gains a slam attack if it didn’t already have one. If the base creature can use weapons, the feastfleshed loses this ability. A creature with natural weapons retains those natural weapons.
Full Attack: A feastfleshed fights without weapons, using either its slam attack (see above) or its natural weapons (if it has any).
Damage: Feastfleshed have a slam attack. If the base creature does not have this attack form, use the appropriate damage value from the table below according to the Feastfleshed's size. Creatures that have other kinds of natural weapons retain their old damage values or use the appropriate value from the table below, whichever is better.

Size Damage
Fine 1
Diminutive 1d2
Tiny 1d3
Small 1d4
Medium 1d6
Large 1d8
Huge 2d6
Gargantuan 2d8
Colossal 4d6

Bellyache (Ex): If a feastfleshed is swallowed whole they cause the creature's stomach to rupture, automatically dealing the necessary damage required to free themselves and are deposited in an adjacent square.

Poisoned (Ex): Those that taste of a Feastfleshed creature, or deal damage from a bite attack, must succeed on a Fortitude save (DC 12 + Feastfleshed HD) or take 1d10 points of Constitution damage. One minute later they must make the save again or take an additional 1d10 points of Con damage.

Preparation: A feastfleshed gains one of the following abilities based on it's preparation. Unless otherwise mentioned they deal damage based on their size on the table listed below.

Size Damage
Fine 1d2
Diminutive 1d3
Tiny 1d4
Small 1d6
Medium 1d8
Large 1d10
Huge 2d6
Gargantuan 2d8
Colossal 4d6

Pickled
A pickled feastfleshed appears bloated and waterlogged with a faint, unwholesome glow about them.
They gain a swim speed of 30 feet or whatever swim speed they had in life, whichever is faster. As well, they gain a breath weapon, a cone that deals half acid and half negative energy damage (uneven rolls goes to acid damage). The damage and dimensions of the cone depends on the size on the table above. They may use this cone once every 1d6 rounds.

Size Length
Fine 5 ft.
Diminutive 10 ft.
Tiny 15 ft.
Small 20 ft.
Medium 30 ft.
Large 35 ft.
Huge 40 ft.
Gargantuan 50 ft.
Colossal 60 ft.

Roasted
A roasted feastfleshed is usually heated to a golden brown over some source of fire. They gain resistance to fire 10 and deal extra fire damage to every attack they make, as well as those that attack them with natural weapons, depending on their size. See the Preparation table above.

Salted
A salted feastfleshed often has a crusty appearance, having had salt rubbed into their flesh and stuffed within their cavities, granting a +4 bonus to their natural armor. Those they touch feel moisture being pulled right from them, dealing dessication damage depending on their size. See table above. Creatures that make a successful bite attack take double the mentioned damage. As well, regardless of size they deal an extra 1d4 points of non-lethal damage as the salt burns within the wounds of their victims.

Smoke-Cured
A smoke-cured feastfleshed usually has a dusky, blackened hue and smells strongly of whatever smoke was used to cure them, be it mesquite wood or dried droppings. As a standard action they may surround themselves with a cloud of heavy smoke out to 5 feet per size category. Those who breathes this must make a Fortitude save each round (DC 15, +1 per previous check) or spend that round choking and coughing. Those who choke for 2 consecutive rounds takes 1d6 points of nonlethal damage. This smoke obscures vision, giving concealment (20% miss chance) to those within it. A smoke-cursed feastfleshed however may see normally in clouded environments, including smoke, their own or others, as well as fog and snow, even if magical.

Spiced
A spiced feastfleshed is covered in a layer of spice and is filled with stuffing. Spices and herbs may also be worked into slits cut in it's hide. Creatures that make a successful bite attack against a feastfleshed find themselves overcome with horrible pain. They must succeed on a Fortitude save (DC 12 + half feastfleshed's HD) or become nauseated for 1 round and sickened for 2d4 rounds. While sickened they cannot cast spells with a verbal component.

A spiced feastfleshed can also spit concentrated spice extracts at the eyes of their opponent with a ranged touch attack. They must succeed on a Fortitude save (DC 12 + half feastfleshed's HD) or go blind for a number of rounds equal to the feastfleshed's HD and suffer incredible pain. Spellcasting or concentrating on spells while blinded requires a Concentration check (DC 20 + spell level). Using skills that involve patience and concentration requires a DC 20 Concentration check. The range of this ability depends on the table below.

Size Length
Fine 5 ft.
Diminutive 10 ft.
Tiny 15 ft.
Small 20 ft.
Medium 30 ft.
Large 35 ft.
Huge 40 ft.
Gargantuan 50 ft.
Colossal 60 ft.

Special Qualities: A feastfleshed creature loses most special qualities of the base creature. It retains any extraordinary special qualities that improve its melee or ranged attacks. A feastfleshed creature gains the following special qualities.

Damage Reduction: Feastfleshed creatures gain damage reduction 5/slashing.

Abilities: from the base creature as follows: +2 Str, -2 Dex (min 1), -4 Cha (min 1). As an undead creature, a Feastfleshed has no Constitution score.
Feats: Same as the base creature.
Environment: Any
Organization: Solitary, Repast (2-5), Banquet (10-20+)
Challenge Rating: Same as the base creature +1.
Treasure: None
Alignment: Always chaotic evil
Advancement: As base creature

OMG, VT, you have issues. This is just so wonderfully wrong. I don't know what to say, so I'll just say "Yoink". :smallcool:

This is...disturbing. Not surprisingly, coming from you, but man.

It's interesting, and seems to be perfect for the slot of a response to some ridiculous action on the part of the PCs. Instead of something preplanned as part of an adventure.

ie, if they eat something that they really shouldn't, it attacks them, and it's horrifying. Fun!

Very nice. You could have a whole factory full of these.

Another preparation:

Frozen
A frozen feastfleshed creature was prepared by being frozen, put in a freezer or an icebox. Frozen feastflesh creatures have immunity to cold, vulnerability to fire, and DR 3 +1 per size category above Small, countered by fire damage.

Hmmm...according to your preparation table, the Feastfleshed Boar should deal 1d8 fire damage, not 1d6.

The save DC for Spiced should stick to the usual formula: (10 + 1/2 the Feastfleshed Creature's Hit Dice + the Feastfleshed Creature's Dexterity [for accuracy, I guess, since Con is gone] modifier)

Pickled seems weak compared to the rest. I'd up the damage on it's breath weapon, which should grant a save as per usual. Otherwise it will almost never see play, being (generally) a sub-par option. Either that, or make it an attack against a single foe, and add a side effect to the attack.

Great idea though!

Why no forbidden vegetables? Steamed Tendriculos returned for vengeance! In plainer language, I would recommend allowing plant creatures.

Also, I note with humble glee that my wing-dragon/miasma-mancer ability to see through smoke, fog, etc SEEMS to have made it into the abilities for the "smoked" version.
