That... was interesting. I've never watched Firefly, but I assume those two characters are remarkably similar in appearance to Nale and Sabine? Where's a picture reference...

So we found a definite actor for sabine in the oots movie. that Wash guy is discussable.

Believe me, Alan Tudyk would be an amazing Elan. And probably a pretty darn good Nale, but that's just a guess.

Sorry, had to throw in that quote. It is indeed surprising how similar Wash and Zoe are to Nale/Elan and Sabine. However, I'm not entirely certain of whether a movie would be the ideal medium for oots... wondering whether a series would be better.
