View Full Version : The Screen Name Prestige Class Contest!

The Giant
2004-07-13, 12:48 AM
Time for another contest, folks!

This one will follow the format first developed by a fine guy known as Black Ice over on the WOTC boards, many moons ago. The goal: create the best prestige class you can that utilizes you screen name in the title and theme. here are the rules:

1.) The name of the class must include your full screen name, excluding numbers and article ("the", "a", etc.) if desired. You may add as many other words to the title as you wish, and you may rearrange the words (but not letters) in your screen name as well. For example, I could create a class called "Giant-Slayers" or "Storm Giant Thunderriders", since both contain the word "Giant", but not a class called "Masters of Naigt".

2.) The abilities of the class should relate in some way to that name, but how is up to you. You may include references to organizations that you create, or use the name as the founder of the class, i.e. "Bob's Cavaliers" or somesuch, but then you should include who this "Bob" is and why he has cavaliers in particular. If your screen name is based on an old PC, feel free to derrive the class from his or her nature.

3.) Prestige classes should be for D&D only, and not specific to Forgotten Realms or Eberron. They may be either Epic or non-epic prestige classes. They may be 5 or 10 levels long. Try to avoid referencing non-core books if possible, but do what you have to do.

4.) Each new class should be started on a new thread here on the Features board, dedicated to just that class and the discussion of it. Put the tag [Screen Name] in front of the title of that thread. Any thread without this tag will not be officially entered.

5.) Post on this thread to let the mods know that you have entered a class. We'll try to keep a post with all the entries listed in one place for easy reference.

6.) The contest begins today, July 13th. All entries may be altered and revised up until the deadline, August 1st. On August 1st, we will lock all entry threads temporarily for the voting period (details of which will be announced at that time).

7.) Categories of voting and judgement will include the following:
• Best Warrior Class (mechanics and flavor)
• Best Spellcaster Class (mechanics and flavor)
• Best Skill-user Class (mechanics and flavor)
• Best Introductory/Flavor Text
• Best Articulation of the Screen Name Theme
• Funniest Class
• Most Likely to be Used in an Actual Campaign
• Website Staff Award (this will not be voted on by the general public, but judged by Amber, the Mods, and I).

8.) All winners will receive a custom title for the month of August and September, so they can gloat. The last two awards, Most Likely to be Used and the Website Staff Award, will have their classes preserved forever on the Function page of the main website, complete with an author credit. (Note that this will require you to resubmit the class as Open Game Content to us, and may be declined if you'd rather not.)

Use this thread for both questions and to alert us to any entries. Let the contest begin!!!

Actually, please don't start the thread for your class until you have a class to post. I don't want to clutter the forum up with empty threads, and get readers frustrated at clicking on a thread only to find it blank. There's no advantage to having a thread up with no class in it, just wait until you're done writing. Thanks.

I already have my background info in the thread, so I will continue using it unless you want me to Remove it.

What if we have a name that is completely unsuited for a D&D prestige class? Like, er, mine. Is this a "tough luck" type of situation?

Also, do you plan on doing any more contests that aren't necessarily gimmicky? I'm not insulting this contest, but it would be cool to see some contests that showcase talent that isn't based off of a screenname :P

The point of the contest is creativity within a strictly limited set of options. If you can'tfigure out a way for Geethree to be part of a prestige class title, then you're not trying hard enough. I can think of an idea right now. Make that two, actually.

Also, do you plan on doing any more contests that aren't necessarily gimmicky? I'm not insulting this contest, but it would be cool to see some contests that showcase talent that isn't based off of a screenname :P

I like gimmicks. I have pretty much no interest in a general contest that just says "design a class". I would get every class that people have been working on for months and playtested the hell out of. I want to force contestants to design a new class, on the spot, for the contest. That proves real problem-solving skills.

Either figure out a way to make it work, or don't.

I understand that numbers and articles are excluded, but what about superfluous letters?
I'd like to make an entry and I need to know if I should try to incorporate the letters ZA into the class.

The Giant
2004-07-13, 11:52 AM
Yeah, I guess you could drop those too, but in my mind, bonus points if you managed to use them. ;)

Can I drop the ZA from my name, too?

Oh, wait - there's no A in my name. Nevermind. :P

Just wondering, would a PrC consisting of Warrior ablilties AND Spellcasting or Spellcasting AND Skill Use or Skill Use AND Warrior skills, or even all three, be entered into multiple categories?

Hi Giant! I'm posting my old screen name contest entry, but I hope to update it for 3.5. And stuff. Here it is: http://www.giantitp.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=features;action=display;num=10897411 13;start=0#0

I just want to state for the record that when I invented my online handle in 1989 I did not design it for the sole purpose of having the most spiff handle for a prestige class contest.

But destiny, it appears often works in mysterious ways! ;D

Gorbash Kazdar
2004-07-13, 04:58 PM
Have to use the full screen name, eh? Guess that means I can't use (or would have to rename) my Kazdaran Warchief PrC (assuming I could find it, anyways.

Starbuck_II
2004-07-13, 05:49 PM
Is it okay if I use Starbuck without the Second part?
I'm working on a class now, possibly next week I should be done.

Only need to work on Level 10 power (which is usually best ability i think since takes so long to get there).

So we need a introduction or it just adds more points?
I mean the descriptive type text like Champion has with the Mini-story in beginning.
Is it required or just helps with points?

The Giant
2004-07-13, 09:08 PM
It might help with the voting, since it is based on flavor and mechanics. It's your call.

And yeah, you can drop the "II" from your name.

---------

Also, to be clear, everyone: You are not "entering" categories. You are writing the class, and then people are voting for you in whatever categories they see fit. So if you have a fighter-wizard class, you might get votes in both Best Spellcaster and Best Warrior. Heck, someone can vote for you in EVERY category!

the Orthodox Sect of Nim.

With a name like that, it has to be cool!

Nim
2004-07-14, 03:03 PM
Heh! Thanks. The general idea is based on TheChris's status as a worshipper of Alarra (and thus, by extension, Nim as well). He quite clearly has the favor of Alarra, but she's NG and TheChris is evil, so far as we can tell. Thus, the Orthodox Sect gets some clerical spells but also has a lot of intimidation-related abilities.

Hi. I'm new here. It was really tempting for me to name myself something like "The Sable Knight," but I figured that would be pretty short-sighted. Anyhow, the reason I'm posting is to suggest that there be a voting category for the Funniest Prestige Class. That might cause some undesirable tension, though, but I thought I'd suggest it anyway.

The Giant
2004-07-15, 12:53 AM
Oops! Yeah, there was intended to be a Funniest category, it just slipped my mind. Consider it added.

And welcome aboard. :)

Oh, and to Z's point, I encourage all of us to give feedback on each others' classes. Whether you enter or not, we're all better off if some well-polished classes get posted, right?

Gilgamesh
2004-07-15, 09:22 AM
Should I base it on the mythological Gilgamesh, or the FF5 Gilgamesh?

Mythological would be something like "The right hand of Gilgamesh" an all male class of noble fighters.
FF5 style would be fast running warriors, with a lot of ranks of escape artist.

Your thoughts would be appreciated, thanks.

If anyone wants, I'm willing to format class ability tables for UBB posting. Just PM me with a link to the class, and I'll PM you back the code.

Also, if you know HTML tables, UBB tables are basically the same, though with "[,]" replacing "<,>" (and a few tags not available).

Well Gorbash, I'm confused. Your table looks great in my PM box. I cut and paste the code, exactly as you had it in the message.

Now however, it looks like a bunch of garbled junk.

Okay...so I have finally succumbed to the temptation and am starting to work on a prestige class.

You might say - :o "What?! Are you crazy Alarra? You don't even play D&D...and the last time you did - when you were 13! - they didn't even have prestige classes! You didn't even know what a prestige class was until 2 days ago!"

To which I would respond - "be that as it may...I felt left out and I have to learn sometime, right?" ;)
"And yes indeed...I fear I may be bordering on insanity." ;D

Sweet! Ok, Gorbash, I got the table to work. Your code missed the /table at the end, so it was coming up real ugly.
My bad! Sorry about that.

Couple UBB Code Tips:
(Anytime you see "<" or ">" in a tag in this post, replace it with "[" or "]" respectivley. I wrote them the way I did to make sure they're show up in the post).

For embedding a link into a phrase, use the following:
<url=http://www.your_url_goes_here.com>Your phrase goes here</url>

Since I've gotten a few PMs about it, I'll post the code for making the tables. The basic 10-level class code and a 10-level class with spellcasting ability; if you're making a 5-level class, just move the [/table] tag to just after the </tr> tag for level 5. To put data in, just put it between the <td></td> tags (or the <center></center> tags for the Level, BAB, Fort, Ref, and Will columns).

If you don't want anything in a certain cell, make sure to put a "-" or at least a space between the <td></td> tags, otherwise the table can get skewed. Below each code is a rough example of what should result.

Curse this contest! My creative talents have put me at a loss now! I cannot think of a good prestige class for my screenname because the best is taken by WotC! I thought of "The Arcane Trickster of Scorpina", but I cannot think of any abilities besides that of the already made Arcane Trickster. Curses! Perhaps if we had just a normal PrC contest, I could do better, because I have made about 5 for one campaign. I made then because the point of the campaign was for each of the people in it to REACH and MASTER those classes, but none reflect my screenname. CURSES!

You could just do the obvious: "The Trickster Arcane"

Then build a Rogue/Mage Type with stronger skills emphasis.

As Musrrum said, one option would be to build an Arcane Trickster with a different focus. I've gone this route. I can post a link to it to give you an example - but I'll warn you ahead of time it's probably overpowered.

Another option would be to build a "Master Arcane Trickster." One of the pre-reqs for your class could be 10 levels in the Arcane Trickster class. You could extend some of the abilities of the original class, and add in a bunch more cool, new toys to play with. This has an advantage in that you could lean more on the power side, since we're talking about characters who are a minimum of 17th level!

A third option is to play around with the name a bit and make a rogue who focuses on "tricking" arcane casters. The class would be all rogue stuff, with abilities to help him defend himself from Arcane spells while simultaneously helping him do his job against the wizards and sorcerers of the world.

Finally, a fourth option that comes to mind is to build a Bard prestige class that focuses on a Court Jester type of character. He uses his spells to develop "tricks" for entertaining.

There's four options for ya, in less than 5 minutes. :)

Hey Giant,
You said to avoid referencing non-core books....I was just wondering if using psionics was okay.

It ws just a suggestion, since we can't make the winner OGC if it uses non-core stuff. But psionics is in the SRD anyway, so it's all good.

I'll be the party pooper... because my screen name is completely useless to this kind of contest...

Only a handful of people have Screen Names that can actually be made into clever PrCs... Half of those presented are along the lines of "Huqward's Mystical Bandits" or "Alythreebyfive's Goat Herder" where the Class has absolutely nothing to do with the Screen name except thin fluff to suggest the name is of the founder, or location the PrC originated in.

If you want a Contest, and you want to insure that people are making up a new PrC for the contest, rather than recycle some old ideas, I suggest holding another contest and just dictating specific guidelines to insure some new thought... Like a Theme, or Environment, or Prerequisites or something.

For example, a theme could be - PrC that hates magic, or relies on wits over brawn, or is of a particular alignment or outlook. An 'environment' example might be a PrC that is tied to the desert, or seafaring, or Urban, or underground. One based on PreReqs might be requiring certain class levels, skills, feats, etc.

You could be something like: the Warriors of Bollas,
Weavers of Bollas, or maybe Ruins of Bolla
Both warrior and Weaver could have something to do with disease.
The ruin one is tricky because it can be about anything.

OK, this is something I would definitely do if I had more knowledge of 3E than the little I possess. So I'll just put down the flavor text, and maybe someone else can take it up.

It was dusk at the ancient City-at-the-Edge.

It was always dusk at the ancient City-at-the-Edge. So the legend went. The legend that had guided their quest for so long. The wish and the dream of one girl that had pushed them across the world, for which they had literally moved mountains.

And as the party emerged from under the mountains, they saw an agonizingly beautiful sight. The magnificient, crumbling city of black buildings on the ground was lit by the dying sunset. A sky the murky brown-red color of glazed pottery, lit by the last rays of a weary sun. Darkness skirmished with the borders of this painful utopia, and it seemed to be losing. This told them that they had finally reached what they had quested for for so long: the end of the world.

Kaylee sighed deeply, her golden eyes taking it all in, her awe running through her weary body and putting fire in it once again. This was the folk legend she had chased her entire life: the reason she became a paladin, which even then was not enough. It seemed as though a vast well in her spirit was at last close to being filled. The tiefling's tail swished in rhythm to a tune that played through her soul, now.

Her companions were similarly affected. Theolor placed his gauntleted hand on her grey shoulder as gently as he could. "Now I understand, lass, what ye meant when we went through God-Thane cave. Why ye answered the question that way..."

And fell silent. Geja ceased, for once, his perpetual dagger-play. Though the bronze-skinned rogue had questioned the neccesity of the quest every step of the way, he finally understood. "Now I know what you were jabberin about there..."

Oath was silent, as always. And Krays was just silent.

The grass rustled. From the city's black gates, a small party emeregd. They wore the obsidian armor that the adventurers had quested for all this time, and they had deep blue skin. Their frames were delicate yet powerful, their movements ethereal. The wings Kaylee knew they would have were sheathed in their armor. They looked at the party, and nodded.

"We have waited for you, for a long time," the foremost said, and they marched into the city.

Kaylee began to say the words she had known she would say, someday. "I seek to Ride the Dusk, to overcome and rise about the creeping darkness in whatever form it may take. To serve the Muse in all things. I seek to be armored in obsidian, and to jump the edge and learn to fly." These had been the words she had cherished and kept close. This was the answer she had given in the Hall of the God-Thane, when they had all been asked what god they paid homage to. These were the words she worshipped, and drew her strength from.

When she was done, the guardians nodded. And they entered the City-at-the-Edge.

----

After much ritual, it was time.

Kaylee stood at the edge. She had been waiting for this moment her entire life, and now that it was here she was more frightened and excited than she had ever been. Everything seemed more vivid to her than it ever had before.

Her friends stood the required distance behind her, watching her. The guardians watched on, and their golden eyes burned into her. She had been hated for her race before, and she couldn't help but wonder if those unreadable eyes held that same hate. Her legs quaked, and she wondered if the split hooves at the end of them made her unworthy of this. If she cocked her misshapen ears, she could almost hear the voices of everyone who had taunted her coming from the edge: Demon-spawn! Pit-bitch! Hellbrand! Even the words of her companions came around, every single doubt they had had about this adventure: Kaylee, are you crazy!? It's at the end of the world, and we don't know where that is! A world which, I must remind ye lass lest ye forget, is in mortal peril! We've no time to overcome the dangers in the way of the end of that fairy tale, and if we did - if it does come out to be true - what then? What if you get to the end, and fall, sugah? What if you fall?

But then, her surrogate mother's voice flew from the edge, warm and reassuring. Don't be afraid of what comes from the planes, dear. That does not make you evil. Long ago, from the reaches of the Ethereal, an order of knights so noble...

Snatches more floated past. And in an instant, she knew what she had always known: she would be the first Tiefling Duskrider.

She jumped off the edge, and flew, soaring abreast of the darkness. Euphoria filled her, a feeling which she had possessed echoes of throughout her life - and now, she had the source. When she landed, she knew, she would be given the armor and they could go save the world....with the euphoria in her soul, she never wanted to land, but she knew that as long as there was an evil to be overcome, more dusk to ride on - she never would, not really.

I just now looked at yours - I'd seen it on the list, but got myself back to doing my homework instead of randomly browsing forums. It was hilarious, creative and awesome...but I think you should be clearer on how the food is activated, among other thinsg. For instance: when using muffins, do you throw them at the target to activate the magic missiles, or eat them and spit missiles out, or what?

Thanx DM. That was what I was going for, funny and outrageous. Yeah, I shoulda put how the food is activated, Muffins and pies would be thrown, others like a hot dog would be dropped (served summon) on the ground and the hound would appear and eat the hot dog. Other food would be eaten like the taco and you would immediately get fire breath. Eating would be the casting time of about a round or so. ;D I think I will modify that. Thanx for the idea.

If I can, I'll try to contribute, but I'm a bit stymied at the conceptual level. I can't come up with a good thematic feel for a magic-based one. I'm thinking of a more martial feel, with Grey actually having been a person's name, not the color, and it being a secular, martial organization, but so for my only idea was a complete knockoff of the Sniper PrC from the Babylon 5 Roleplaying Game. So, I'm thinking a brigade of elite guards, but I don't want them to be associated with Helm (that'd just be too darn easy).

Hi all. I wanted to take a moment and share what I do when I review a class, because I seem to be leaving a lot of notes at the end that basically say, "sorry my review sounds so negative."

When I review a PrC (either on a board, or in a book), I look for two "categories" - the cool factor and the broken factor.

The Cool 8) Factor

I look for a few things when going over this:

Interesting flavor text Neat (but minor) abilities. I often call them "flavor" abilities. It synergizes well with a class combo that is "most likely" to enter the PrC A good progression of power, especially when compared to overall character level A vague "I wanna play that" sort of feeling

Overall, I'll say very little when something meets the cool factor - generally I'll just quote the name and say something like, "Nice!" or "Sweet!" I don't think there's a need to say too much more, most of the time.

The Broken :-/ Factor

This is a broad category, and it doesn't mean your class is broken. This, however, usually gains the most input from me, because I'll explain why I think there's an issue, and a lot of times I'll offer up a potential fix as well. Some things that fall in this category:

Stuff missing - skill points, weapon proficiencies, etc The skill list doesn't seem to fit the class The flavor text at the top doesn't really describe the class well. Something is vague or unclear The pre-reqs are too easy or hard, or don't seem to fit the class An ability is too good, or is too little (in my not so humble opinion) An ability doesn't list a save An ability doesn't mention what type (Ex, Su or Sp) it is Formatting errors (unclosed bold tags, hard to read, etc A major loophole/abuse in the ability, especially when combined with another class feature

As I said, stuff in this category usually looks "worse" in my feedback, because I take the time to elaborate, and the time to offer a fix.

Finally, you'll notice when I review your class that I'll leave stuff out completely. For example, I might quote your first level ability and say, "Cool!" Then I'll quote your fourth level ability, and point out a minor issue. You might read it and say, "Hey, Z - what about levels 2 and 3? You skipped over those!" Well, that generally means the ability is OK - it fits the level, it fits the flavor, there's no typos or rules loopholes, etc. As a general rule of thumb, if I don't comment the ability is OK, but not quite in the "Cool" category.

***

Finally, here's some general stuff I look for. A class can be good without meeting all these, so don't sweat it too much.

Flavor text I want to see something. I'm not the best at it, either, but anything is better than nothing. Describe the history, describe the purpose, tell a short story about the founder, etc. Just give me something to let me know what this class is about.

Skills If you don't have Craft and Profession on your skill ilst, I'll mention it. It's a personal pet peeve of mine; feel free to ignore me. :) Otherwise, I look at the list and make sure the skills you mention fit the class, and I also try to think if anything is missing. Finally, I look at how many skill points you are giving compared to how many class skills there are.

Table vs Text When your text says, "At first level, so-and-so gains..." I check to see if that ability is listed on the table at first level. I also try to compare the names on the table to the names listed in the descriptions, though I miss some of these.

BAB, Saves and Hit Die Are they appropriate for the class? Do BAB and Saves follow a standard progression? Does the hit die fit the class? For example, a purely melee class should probably have a d10 or even a d12. A "sneak" type class should be around a d6. A bookworm should probably have a d4.

Formatting, Spelling Did you close all your bold, italics, etc? Are there any obvious misspellings? Could you do something (such as include blank lines) to improve the readability of the class?

Abilities This is the meat of your class, and this is where I spend the most time. Are the abilities you give out reasonable for a character of that level? Are they too weak or too good for that character level? Are there any exploitable loopholes? Do your abilities fit the flavor of the class, or did you just throw it in to give the class a new toy? Often times (but not always) 10th level should be (again, in my not so humble opinion) a "WOW!" ability. The character has put in effort to get to this point. They've met pre-reqs and worked their way through the class, they should be rewarded for reaching the end.

***

So, anyway, that's a not-so-brief look at what goes into my thinking when I review your classes. Certainly, feel free to ignore/disregard anything I suggest. If you aren't sure why I suggest something, ask me. I'll expand on my opinion. And certainly, don't change an ability just because I suggested it. Wait and see what other people think as well. If you get feedback from 10 people, and I'm the only one who thinks something is too weak, well, I'm probably wrong. ;)

Overall that was longer than I wanted, but I did want to share my thoughts on this with everybody.

I know that I read about this contest two weeks ago, but it was about two weeks ago that Real Life decided to throw me a series of gut-punches, followed by a quick uppercut for the knockout. Things are looking a bit calmer now though, and I should have a few hours to work out a prestige class for you all to laugh at. I mean ... enjoy. (Yeah, that's it...)

I know I said I had one in the works, but I don't think it'll be ready. I don't have enough experience with magical stuff to make that work, and my original idea, a military leader class, is proving to be troublesome. After all, most of my ideas require the character to take way to much prep time (things like setting up an ambush, etc.)

Grey - I once wrote a class that sounds like what you're attempting. Z's Warmaster Variant (http://azure.bbboy.net/niftymessageboard-viewthread?forum=10&thread=259). It's based on the Warmaster from Sword and Fist, but slightly powered up. It might be too powerful for a "standard" game, but perhaps it'll give you some ideas.

I'll take a look at that, and some stuff from the B5 RPG books I should be able to assemble something. Problem is, the character is intended to be a defensive tactics specialist. I'll work on it some tonight, but I make no promises.

Just posted my Viktorian PrC. It's a sneak attack -baed PrC ; I don't know if a such a class has already been made. If this is the case, I'll remove it.

There's no need to remove it just because somebody else made a SA based class. I'm sure there's enough differences. ;)

Okay....I present for your reading pleasure...

The Alarran Dreamwalker:
http://www.giantitp.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=features;action=display;num=10910573 66;start=0#0

I fully intended to get this posted sooner, however it took me a bit longer to basically learn d&d than I thought it would. =) Any comments would be greatly appreciated, as I really had no idea what I was doing when I started this.

Oh, and thanks Chris - without your help, I probably would have given up after the flavor text. =)

Could someone check out my guy and tell me if I have missed anything? I would greatly appreciate it cause I have worked very long and hard to put together something unique. Thanx for any and all input.

Just wanted to mention, before the contest ends in the next two days or so, that there are a lot of very cool PrCs here. I haven't had a chance to read them all and/or comment on them, though I'm going to make an effort to do several more before the 1st. Definitely want to thank everyone for their help with my class as well.

Anyways, good luck everyone, and awesome stuff! Amazing group of creative people here on this board.

I thought there's time to read all the PrCs while they are locked? At least I want to, I'm too busy now.

I tend to like unique, quite simple yet efficient Prestige Classes. I hope I'll find some. 8)

I just wanted to say that although I have commented on very few of them, (I don't consider myself knowledgable enough to offer any constructive advice whatsoever) I have read every PrC that has been submitted.

These are all so good and interesting. I'm quite impressed. I love the wide variety of ideas that everyone has come up with.

And everyone has been so willing to help other people improve their classes, I think that is just great.

Nice work all!

Well, the Z Man and Z's Babes were both fun classes to write. The problem, though, was that those classes didn't qualify for the contest because they didn't use my full screen name (even though most people call me Z instead of Zherog). I wasn't sure if I was going to write another class or not, and this morning I really didn't feel like working. ;D So, in sticking with the Charlie's Angels theme of the first two classes, I present for you my "official" entry into the contest:

The Zherogley (http://www.giantitp.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=features;action=display;num=10911998 04)

I hope you enjoy it. :)

I have been trying to participate in this fun idea, but it seems I haven't a clue to balancing issues. I have a good idea, but when I write it to paper, I really haven't the slightest idea how to tell if something is over or under powered.

I've read a bunch of the PRCs created thus far and the accompanying comments, and I still can't figure out why something is out of whack. Heh.

Well, regardless of my own silliness, nice job everyone! :)

"If you post it, they will come" also "if you build it, they will come"
Who said that? ;D (name the movie)

Zherog nice class: hated it in Charlie's Angels 2 when they replaced Bill Murray with that black guy(bernie Mack?)

And Rhia, you'll never know if over powered till you make class. However, you have two days before closing them so i'd get one it! :o

Field of Dreams - one of my favorite movies.

Yep, Bernie Mac was the actor who played Bosley in CA2. I liked Bill Murray better, but Bernie wasn't too bad.

I agree, Rhia. Post what you've got and we'll help you out. Here's a quick balance test, though. Figure out what level and class is most likely to enter. For example, my Zherogley class is most likely going to be entered by a rogue or bard of 5th level or higher. Once you have that, compare the base class to your class - if yours is always better, it's probably too good. If you can think of times you'd rather have the base class than your class, you're probably OK. It's a quick test, but it works.

Yeah, Rhia...I'd just post it and not worry about whether it is over or under powered. I certainly didn't. =)

I figure if there's anything wrong with the balance or if my class is too good or anything like that, one of these wonderfully knowledgable people (most likely Zherog) will let me know and then I can fix it.

Hey everyone, I've added a drawing of an Alarran dreamwalker to my class. I'd be really interested in getting some feedback on what you all think of it, if you'd be so inclined to check it out. =) thanks!

Hey Giant, how soon will the next contest start? Im thinking there should be a module contest, but i dont know how well that would work, with people having different edition books, or none at all. It would be a nice one to try.

Because my girlfriend Alarra loves me soooooo much she drew a picture of what a Disciple of The Chris looks like. It's posted in my class. For those too lazy to go check http://www.giantitp.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=features;action=display;num=10903431 58

Except for very close to deadline posting, its a good class.
And the Midnight Society was great. They threw that dust into the fire that turned colors. And told those scary stories. Loved it, the movie, and wish they restarted it.

So Alarra and Chris are dating?

Edit: It was only shown on Nickolodeon, but it was a special so I don't think they will show it again. Basically the cast was in a real story like the show's stories. Great fun to watch. 8)

I thought so too. I guess that anyone who modified their PrC after midnight of this morning will be disqualified to compensate. Or maybe the deadline is today at 11:59 pm... Hmmmm.

Yeah, it was supposed to be at midnight, but I flat out forgot. Oopsie. Consider it a one day extension. :)

I'll start now, and then post the voting info thread.
