I went on vacation to Costa Rica from Dec 22-29th (pictures forthcoming if anyone interested). this past Thursday, The La Paz area northwest of San Jose was hit with a 6.1 earthquake, which is the worst in the country in 150 years. I was up at the La Paz waterfalls just 20 days ago. Six miles of road were destroyed along with the resort up at the butterfly/wildlife gardens and waterfalls. hundreds have been stranded up there now with no shelter, food, or drinkable water and are having to be airlifted out. Many are still missing. Having seen the area, and the mountain roads to get there, It's a really bad situation and really kind of eerie.
