What's the point? Isn't there already a good aligned organization? Why didn't you just join HALO?

OOC, we have nothing against HALO. (IC may be a different story.) However, we wanted an organization that only allows good-aligned members and focuses on the redemption of evildoers. If the real world can have multiple organizations for the purpose of doing good, we don't see why the forum can't hold more than one as well.

Not intentionally. We have our own purpose and our own mission, which overlaps somewhat with HALO's, but is not identical.

Why don't you let anyone post in the main thread without PMing first?

OOC answer: Honestly, we tried it, and it was too chaotic to read.

What's the point of the visitor's centre?

We still want to play nicely with others! So we set up the visitor's centre thread to provide an IC access port.

Are you part of the Town? Or are you in an extra dimension?

We didn't really know at first, but when AMEN contacted us, it seemed clear that we inhabited some sort of reality with AMEN and HALO. Which means we aren't Town. I think. (Really, we're making this up as we go along!)

New answer: Everyone's a part of the town, but the rules are different here, Town laws do not apply. ACRONYM rules do. So respect the rules, and we will all get along just fine. :smallbiggrin:

Will you be interacting with the other groups?

Yes, but we haven't worked out the mechanics yet. We're officially at war with AMEN, but we don't want random fighting going on in our headquarters. So we might be setting up a war thread or a plot thread or something, but we don't know yet.

As far as HALO goes, we have no formal ties with them, though there is some membership overlap, and we're currently in discussions. IC, some of us have formed a negative opinion of HALO. It doesn't mean we have a problem with you OOC. (Honestly, Turtle isn't the brightest crayon in the box, and she's very defensive about being a former evildoer.)

GLoG is a pretty silly name, isn't it?

Yes. Yes it is. One of our founding members used to belong to the Evil League of Evil (If you haven't heard of it, google 'Dr Horrible'), so when she turned good, it seemed reasonable to form the Good League of Good.

The GLoG/HALO portal:

The portal between GLoG and HALO is still open.

But anyone passing through it arrives outside the front door. If they've already been cleared (previously interacted with GLoG without hostilities), they can walk straight in without having to roleplay out knocking on the door and so on.

First time visitors, or people who have previously caused trouble have to wait for someone to undeadtime to decide whether they can pass or not.

Oh. I've never seen an incubus that could do that before. Luckily, I'm a professional. So... Lets see. First, area of effect, area of effect, area of effect. The best way of dealing with teleporters/blinkers. Well, except for anti-magic or anti-teleportation...
Also, get as much holy paraphernalia as possible. Swords, symbols, etc. Or hire a paladin. That works too.
Aside from that, there's pretty much nothing else, besides various Slayer techniques that require months of training and are so secret that no one but the Guild know of them. Except for all the analysts who watched them in combat. Now it's incredibly easy to find a teacher who will show you...

Kaela's in Butler's bedroom, in his crib, crying his eyes out, scared, as scraps of aged parchment, scorched and ripped, detailing the words he spoke above, in his sleep, falls from the ceiling like divine rain.

Wenomir stands still, frozen in place. Taking care of children is one of the many things he has absoultely no idea about. Nevertheless, he looks down on the crib, saying: There, there, don't cry.

Susan walks in, carrying Rose. "What's the matter?"

Several scraps of possible prophecy fall into Kaela's wooden crib, scaring him, making him wail and weep even more, especially when they ignite one of his blankets. Perhaps they were a little more than scorched. :smalleek:

Susan snatches Kaela up from the crib and pats out any sparks on him. "Shhh... it's okay. It's okay..." She says, to both babies.

Kaela's lower lip wobbles, but he ceases to wail, and his sparks are patted out.

However, his wail starts up when the emergency sprinklers turn on. :smalltongue:

"If you could find out what started the fire, I'll take care of the baby," Susan says.

Susan takes Kaela and Rose to her room, changes him into dry clothes, and then take the babies to the kitchen to feed them.

Wenomir takes a good look at the room, noticing the parchments immediately, but he finds it difficult to make heads and tails out of the schorched letters. What the...

Some of the scraps are burned to a crisp, others are just a mite scorched - some remains perfectly intact.

Kaela's moved, fed, and clothed. He's a bit shy, nibbling quietly, edging away from Rose and Susan.

"...Metal man, in circless..." "...Velvet wishes, makes ends meet, brings about downfall of man..." ..."Velvet memories..." Damn. I don't even know what is supposed to go where. It sounds like the demon worshipers' prayers, only even more demented.

Kaela don't totally love the stuff, 'kay, see, but he's sipping at it obediently, going about the task of drinking for the nice lady diligently. He waves at her with one slightly fluffy handpaw, causing a scrap of prophecy to fall out from between his claws, bearing the word metal.

Wenomir takes the parchments that seem mostly legible and takes them to his room.

Well, there's enough prophecy that's intact for Wenomir to get a complete version, as the "rain" deposited several copies. Getting them in a nice order may be trickier, but not really essential, as key phrases seem to be together.

Susan sets the parchment aside, suspecting that it might be plot related, and pays it no more mind.

But she scratches his ears and tries to make him happy.

Kaela giggles, and, dropping the milk, claps his hands in glee, rolling onto his back for her to tickle his tummy, laughing.

Wenomir might not be the most enlightened guy around, but he's seen his deal of insane prophecies in his time, so he puts the whole thing together after some time. Damn.

Um. The sprinklers, having drenched everything in Butler's room, switch off.

Kaela giggles, 'specially as his belly's rubbed, his little catlike face spreading into a wide, wide grin. Hahhah!

Rose, however, is edging away from him, baaing.

Wenomir thinks intensely while trying to decipher the prophecy. Hmmm, the "metal man" probably refers to that cheap pseudo-villan Magtok, Reinholdt is this cat who's working with the lich, Draken is the end of all creation, but who are Raegan and Zenobia? And what about the velvet wishes?

Melody wakes up from her conversation with Jenny. Oh, Jenny, I'm so sorry. She goes to the kitchen to get her some cake when she wakes back up.

Rose baas. It seems, the nearer Kaela gets to her, the more sheep like she becomes, her skin is taking on a slightly blacker tinge, her hair is getting distinctively woolly, and her eyes... are they a little further away from one another?

Kaela, who I imagine's still being tickled, continues to flail and laugh with glee!

Melody will release the hug, then pick Kaela up. She did? That doesn't sound like her. I wonder what happened. She starts making goo goo sounds at Kaela, and offers him her pinky.

It's a rather non-threatening looking sword hilt, but there's more to it than that. No sign of Jaren, but Decker is the one I'm worried about. She got targeted by some spell of Draken's that used me to get to her... She survived, but I don't know where she is now.

And now he's outright trembling.

Raven puts a hand on Darkcomet's shoulder. "I'm sorry, lad. I hope she's okay."

I don't know what to do right now. Half of me wants Frosthand to pay, and the other is too worried about Decker to risk going near him. This is what I'd feared all along, you know...

Kaela awakens, now in the great room, either have been left there - or having sleepcrawled there from wherever he was set down. Opening his eyes, he makes an enquiring mewl out to the surrounding base.

Turtle is still cradling Lex protectively. "What happened to you, dearest?"

Reinholdt will stare at the drone. "Happy."

The drone will lead Reinholdt out to the Rose Garden, where Turtle, Fan, and Lex have just teleported in.

Melody will wake up. After looking around, she will shriek.

Soon after, she runs out, she is looking frantically for Kaela.

Well, Kaela's still in the great room, now asleep, on the floor, snoozing.

Reinholdt will follow until he reaches the rose garden. He'll only look long enough to see all three there, then lower his head again, unable to look them in the face. He'll slowly move towards them, stopping when they stop him or he reaches their feet.

Fanboy almost immediately goes looking for Melody.

Micheal goes into the woods to handle a forest spirit that has been attacking some villagers lately.

Melody will go to pick up baby Kaela. There you are.

Lex looks upto Turtle. She, she put me in the body of a male. A male from a long time ago. I lived a whole week, seeing the things he did, the way he lived. It, it was horrible.

[Kaelaroth]

Kaela is huggled. And, by the way, Turtle should probably be able to recognise him, what with the familiar pink fur, and the pink-tinged amber eyes. His voice, heard through the medium of a sleepy sigh, remains the same.
Perhaps she'll also hear his name?

The prophecy, save a single scrap mentioning Raegan, remains with Wenomir.

Turtle might recognize Kaela, except that she's in the Rose Garden, looking down at an apocalypse-bringing cat.

"Why are you here?" she asks, her voice blank.

Wenomir undeadtimes in his room, and walks out of it, whistling. The prophecy remains in his room.

[Reinholdt]

"I..." He doesn't really have an answer for why he's here. All he knows is that he hurt Lex, Fan, and Happy.

"I did it..."

[Fan]

"Did what?"

[Lex-Kat]

He helped that evil Lich!!! Lex suddenly reinvigorated, charges at Reinholdt with her People's Spork 5000 in hand. She will attempt to tackle him.

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt gets tackled with an, "Oof!" and possibly stabbed if she tries. He's not resisting.

Turtle attempts to restrain Lex without hurting her. "Lex, I think the lich had some sort of magical control over him. Like Draken used to have with me."

[Darkcomet]

DC undeadtimes, and walks into the rose garden.

No, he didn't.

Reinholdt will shake his head slowly at that and point at the star. "No. I'm protected from such things. I did it."

Turtle attempts to pick Reinholdt up, but not in the cuddly kitty way. More of the scoop up under his front legs and bring up up to eye level.

"You did this... of your own free will?"

[Reinholdt]

"Yes. Without me, none of it would have happened. I did it..." He believes it too since he caught Rabbit.

[Darkcomet]

DC merely looks on with a scowl.

[Fan]

Fanboy looks crtically at Reindholdt, and will let the others decide judgement./

And Reinholdt's character Reinholdt doesn't reply with anything, except to repeat, "I did it..."

Wenomir comes in, alarmed by the shouts. He doesn't know what's going on, so he just watches.

It's like I said before. He thinks that nonexistence is the only way to prevent suffering. That's why he did it.

If DC wasn't one of those affected, he would smirk. But he merely keeps his scowl.

"What did you come here for?" Turtle demands, shaking him a little. Not trying to induce shaken baby kitty syndrome or anything, just trying to make him answer.

[Reinholdt]

"Because I did it..." Obviously. He refuses to look Happy in the face.

[Lex-Kat]

Die!! Lex tries to stab Reinholdt again. ((Assuming she's still in Turtle's firm, yet gentle grip.))

[Fan]

Fanboy sighs.
"we aren't vengeful here Reindholdt. We forgive. Sure, you caused some trouble, but its not like there isn't worse in the world. I can forgive you personally, but I will have to talk with you later about your ending the universe obession that everyone, and their mother has been talking about."

Comet is incorrect actually. Reinholdt could have thrown himself off the cliff to accomplish that. He considered it heavily.

Reinholdt is stabbed. It hurts. Comes complete with yowls of pain.

Turtle would have had to let Lex go in order to pick up Reinholdt.

Reinholdt resists the healing. He's not here to get forgiveness. He's not even here to die. He's here in hopes they can beat out their frustrations. In hopes they'll somehow feel better after getting the chance to maim him to their hearts' content.

If Lex makes it through those trying to hold her back, Reinholdt does not resist getting stabbed again.

[Lex-Kat]

Lex is stopped by both. She can't dodge them all. But she struggles, no matter which of you two finally gets a hold of her. You Godkilling sunova...!! I'll rip your intestines out!!

[Kaelaroth]

There's a giggle from inside, as Kaela hears his friend Lex, who he doesn't remember, but knows is a friend, and tries to get away from Melody to crawl towards the rose garden, clucking in interest. :smallwink:

Melody will try to hold him tight, but knowing which way he wants to go, she will head to the rose garden. All right, all right. We can go to the Rose Garden.

[Kaelaroth]

Giggling, Kaela is either assisted in his crawling to the rose garden, or he's carried there. Either way, he gets there, naked but for his nappy/diaper, looking all cute and lovable, clucking in intrigue.

Till he sees craze-rage Lex. :smalleek:

Fanboy upon seeing Melody leaves Wenomir to hold Lex, and hands Melody a pair of silver earrings.
"I got these special for you today. It will help protect you from Alek, and hopefully with the Amulet, and the base defences he wont be able to hurt you anymore."

[Morty]

Wenomir grabs Lex and says: Princess, the cat surrendered. You can't just kill an enemy who surrendered.

Turtle pulls Reinholdt close, protecting him from any further onslaught.

"She forgave me. So I forgive you."

To Fan and Darkcomet: I think we need to lock him up. We can't let him go back to the lich to try again.

Reinholdt takes note of Kaela. "Here?" He'll think to himself.

Kaela may or may not recognize the kitty being held by Happy and bleeding. He makes no move now, but if Happy puts him down, he'll actually try to move closer to Lex into stabbing range, vacant stare still presiding over his face.

But it seems Happy pulls him closer, so it's moot.

I say we need to hand him over to Draken. Show him what he unleashed on us all.

DC's mental voice is much less concealing of his emotions. It's fairly obvious that he hates Reinholdt now.

Kaela effectively mind-wiped himself. He knows not of the kitty beside the obvious C is for Cat poster he found on the floor. :smalltongue: Kitty! He giggles, his wails ceasing as he crawls towards Reinholdt, also a mite catlike, at the moment, see.

Lex begins to cry. It's not fair. He caused the death of so many, but he gets to live? She stops struggling.

Melody takes the earrings. They are beautiful, Fanboy. Where did you get them?

I vote we give him a short, fair trial and hang him on a nearest tree.

Reinholdt gives Kaela a somewhat bitter-sweet smile. His tail flicks with interest.

Already his goal is coming back into focus. His motivation returned by Rabbit and the means lying right there in front of him. But he'd have to bide his time for now.

Whatever we do, it has to be permanent. If we lock him up, Calublufiok will break him out. As much as it pains me to give him what he wants, killing him might just be the best option.

Kaela tries to huggle the kitty, petting him a mite roughly, but stroking him with love, the ineptitude coming from being little, rather than malicious. Aaapa! :smallbiggrin:

Oh, and by the way, before we hang this nihilistic waste of skin, I found a very interesting thing in Butler's room. Wenomir pulls the parchment with the prophecy from under his belt.

Melody, being suddenly ignored by Fanboy, will go over and hold Kaela up, so that he can better huggle the evil kitty. Here ya go.

Reinholdt is petted, somewhat roughly, though this may get some blood on Kaela. Reinholdt purrs a little to encourage little Kaela.

"I'm glad you like them, and if you must know they were a special gift I got from Nerian today."

Kaela gets blood on him, and looks, a mite perplexed, at it, his lower lip quivering in uncertain confusion, as he ceases to pet and stroke Reinholdt. He looks up at Melody, as if wanting to know what to do.

Magtok smiles, finally coming out of deadtime in his GLoG detention wing cell. Judging by the bags under his eyes, he's been depriving himself of sleep, allowing his mind and body to deteriorate. The cyborg raises up a hand, and looks along the edge of the palm, grinning upon spotting brown-red streaks along it.

Beautiful. Rust, decay, rot. It's been so long, I almost forgot what you all looked like.

With a glance towards the GLoggies and their kitty, Magtok frowns. Apparently they were all stupider than he thought. Nomlas gets a trial for snatching a baby, but Reinholdt, attempted destroyer of worlds, gets petted and gently carried about like a family pet. The sequel to Reindeer's recent attacks already looks inevitable, and Magtok gets to thinking maybe the cat has a good point with this whole apocalypse thingy.

"Will you let me heal you, Reinholdt?" Turtle asks.

We'll lock him up for now and then decide on his eventual fate together. I want to consult my goddess.

[Morty]

Since everyone is focused on the Reinholdt, Wenomir tucks the parchment back under his belt and resumes patrolling the base.

Fine. But if the lich breaks him out, don't say I didn't warn you.

Physically, he turns for the great room, though he doesn't leave quite yet.

[Lex-Kat]

Thank you, Fanboy. She smiles. But I didn't notice that the kitty was bleeding. I gotta go clean up Kaela.

She rushes off to a bathroom to start washing him up. It'll be okay, Melody will clean the mess up. She says to Kaela.

Lex looks to Wenomir. What do you have? Let me see.

[Reinholdt]

"Fine." He'll let Happy heal him if she wishes, and does his best in the meantime to look cute for Kaela.

[Kaelaroth]

Kaela's removed. Yoooiiiink. :smalleek: He calms down, when washed, though, sitting a mite subdued.

Wenomir stops halfway out of the Rose Garden and shows Lex the parchment:

Lex reads it once, twice, three times. I don't get it. She looks confused. Is the "Metal Man", Mr. Quinn? And who would Zenobia and Raegan be?

Magtok clears his throat loudly, and taps the side of his head briefly, if he's within hearing range of Lex. If not, he'll instead be assembling a bunch of tiny Magbots around the cell into a choir and orchestra, and starting them off with Ave Maria for now.

[Kaelaroth]

Kaela, now dried, his fur a touch ruffled, shakes his head. He's not hungry, thank you, his little pink and amber eyes seem to say, but his only words are Shoes?

[Lex-Kat]

Since Lex is nowhere near the detention cells, she will get the brilliant idea to ask their resident cell warmer. She takes the parchment, makes a quick copy, then gives the original back to Wenomir. Thanks.

Then she flies down to Magtok's cell, and shows it to him. Can you decipher this?

Turtle carries Reinholdt down to the detention wing and puts him in a cell, as far from Magtok's cell as possible.

"I don't know what we're going to do with you yet, Reinholdt."

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt's put away. "I doubt there's much more you could do Happy."

He's referring to hurting him over helping him.

Alexis undeadtimes and resumes her pacing.

Judy walks upto Alexis. Stop pacing. Mint will be back with the infromation, I'm sure of it.

Kaela, making a little mumble, curls up, and falls into a deep sleep, starting to quietly mumble, as he does so.
And, as he does so, words start to write themselves, slapdash, in blood, on the walls across the base.
Zenobia, Waves, Vespe! End of time, space, eveything! Which childcatcher, and who's daddy? milk is red today. Raegan, Rufus. The salmon's bones will dance, dance.

Bits and pieces, just what's clear now. I, or some character who's yet to be introduced yet, am the metal man. Ratavo and Tessa are the time-travellers, but there's no guarantee that blurb there has anything to do with them. Raegan is probably not a misspelling of the former president's name, but a new/forgotten character, same for Zenobia. Draken and Reinholdt are the child-catchers, and want to use Kaela's powers to mess up everything. Downfall of man should be fairly obvious.

...And that's all I can decipher of your apocalyptic note. Good luck with saving the world the second time around, it looks like you'll have even more of a challenge than last time. As can be expected, I won't be doing anything else to help.

With a grin, Magtok then turns back to his Mini-bot orchestra.

DC decides to head for the training room. He doesn't say anything to Judy or Alexis, and starts slashing at dummies with his voidsteel dagger. Of particular note is that the weapon itself doesn't seem to be touching the dummies, but they're still being hit.

Why thank you, dear. I do hope that was a genuine compliment, and not an attempt to manipulate me through flattery into revealing the rest. Either way though, you're trying to do what you can to help out, and I can't hold that against you. You get the next piece too, but I'll be expecting one of your world-famous cakes next mealtime instead of the usual junk.

With a thin smile, Magtok reads the creepy blood-writing, whilst simultaneously conducting the tiny band.

Zenobia is Zenobia, waves is kinda vague, hopefully not too important. Vespe is obviously Vespe Ratavo. End of time, space, everything should be crystal clear. The next bit asks which childcatcher, meaning Draken or Reinholdt, will be the one to take Kaela. Daddy being confusion over myself, his creator, and Butler, the inept cat-boy who adopted him recently. Milk sustains life, red is a reference to blood, I can't do much else with that bold bit, though. Raegan, Rufus, two names I'm not familiar with. Salmon bones means Nomlas. That infamous blonde was a talking fish in a bowl when he started out in HALO, which is why Nomlas backwards is Salmon.

The best advice I can give, which shouldn't be entirely trusted as it comes from a man in a cell, is to kill Reinholdt and Draken. Or kill off one, and prepare defenses against the other. Happy's too soft and most of the others are too dumb to see that though, and will just leave Kaela here as a sitting duck for whoever wants to snatch him and use his prophesy and powers to end mankind.

If that's all, I'd like some time to myself. These little guys need to be ready to perform Sinatra's My Way with me in a matter of days, and so far they've been atrocious.

Those last words are said with a cold glare at the little band, who all look down at their itty-bitty feet in shame. If it weren't for their teeny glowing red eyes, they could be considered adorable.

You've earned a cake, Magtok. She flies over to Reinholdt's cell. Reinholdt, I have just what you are looking for. She opens his cell, and locks it behind her as she enters, holding her spork.

Melody has recovered from seeing the blood soaked walls. She puts Kaela to bed, then begins helping Mr. Huggles II and Sparkles the IV clean the walls.

DC heads back out into the great room, and heads for the door. Not quite gone yet, though.

When Darkcomet gets to the door, a ghost barbarian armed with a ghost touch warspork charges and disembowels him.

"Raawwr!"

Turtle comes out of her shrine, no less troubled than when she went in. "Darkcomet, we need to go after that lich's phylactery."

I know where it is, but not much else.

He doesn't sound very confident about it.

"We have to try, and now, before it regenerates." Turtle says.

It might be too late already. And whatever he's got there protecting it, it's bound to be tough. And I saw him back at the battle, dueling your goddess and not getting obliterated by her. If he finishes while we're there, it'll be like fighting a god-you sure you're up for this?

He sighs. People always expected him to be able to fight things he thought were out of his league.

"If you don't want to go, then tell me where it is so I can." Her eyes glow slightly green as she speaks.

He thinks for a moment, though it feels much longer to him.

Turtle nods, the glow fading. "Right. Let's go." She goes to the portal room and begins setting one of the portals for the coordinates. "Fan will come. Do you know of anyone else who will fight with us?"

I know of some. I don't know if one is even still alive, though...

He's referring to KR here. Though she was invisible during the fight with the old god, he recognized the blasts.

There's Runner, another member here. And then there's KR-15, but I have no idea how to find him. And I doubt you'd be willing to work with him.
