In this strip, (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0571.html)we see the oracle getting raised by two lizardpeople or trog or something like that clerics. As they leave, the oracle tells them to "Say hello to your boss for me!" I'm wondering who their boss is (the first time I read the comic through I assumed they worked for him; clearly I didn't read closely enough) and if that will ever matter in the future.

I'm betting on some kind of powerful dragon, based mostly on the fact that he or she employs reptilians who help reptilians.

SOD: Xyklon the Consequential had fiendish-looking guards that resembled horned lizardmen.

Tiamat (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0331.html), right? They're full clerics while he's just got oracular powers for some reason. Hence "your boss."

The boss is strip irrelevant and is not going to appear on camera.

Indeed, I really don't think that their boss will ever be at all important, but why not guess just for gits and shiggles?

I say that....it's the evil overlord from Mt. Helldeathdoomfire

Huzzah for wild mass guessing!

Being that few clerics regularly converse directly with their god, even in D&D, and that the oracle seems to commune pretty closely with Tiamat anyway (being a possible exception), I doubt that "your boss" would refer to any mutual patron deity. "Your boss" would be more likely the high priest of whatever cult they serve.
