Play By Post Etiquette

so I play D&D over AIM and OpenRPG, and I roleplay casually at www.metromayhem.net (Your #1 Site for superhero roleplaying) but I'm not really clear on the etiquette and system for play by post, or how you recruit for them. If some helpful people could start with the basics of running a campaign for Dungeons and Dragons on a play by post basis I'd be quite appreciative.

There is a section of the forums dedicated to PBP ames. Most people start a recruitment thread which contains the reules and character requirements while starting an Out of Character thread once they have enough players. As far as running the game goes, it's the same as a normal game, only at a much slower pace.
