Watching hockey, drinking beer, cooking back bacon, eating maple syrup, saying "eh", and preferring a creative compromise as the first solution to a conflict rather than an instant escalation to carpet bombing.

We have already infiltrated them. Soon they will be in our clutches! Then we will unleash upon them...

Candy cane anything freaks me out. Unless it's just a regular candy cane. Then it's just boring.

There should be an activity pre-qualifier for going to Tim's. Taking a diff off a truck certainly qualifies. Cutting lumber, doing plumbing, being a bounty hunter.

They should refuse service to people who come in after a hard day of scrapbooking.

They could have a second entrance to Tim's that says "cruise ship people only - special service." They would go in and pay their money and be ushered into a cement room with one lighbulb hanging from the celing.

Then bikers would beat the crap out of them wounding them only in places covered by clothing. Then they would hand them and empty cup and push them out the door and say...

"Tell everyone you liked the coffee OR ELSE!"

No, no, not that really pronounced "Valley Girl" one. It's just a subtle thing at the end of sentences. Most people I know, regardless of gender, have it if you listen really closely. It's just the tiniest little upward inflection at the end of a sentence - while a Brit, for example, would have a downward inflection, many Canadians have just a slight little rise in their voice.

[edit] Most Canucks don't seem to notice it, even when they speak that way. It really is subtle. It's not the "Hi? I am good? Natalie has a party and we're going to get drunk off of dishwater?" kind of thing that you're thinking of.
