My parents sent me a care package with my Christmas presents in it. It got delayed in customs - I guess the whole bit about there being ball bearings in a package sent to an artilleryman kinda threw up a red flag.
Silly customs. I don't need BBs to make things go boom.
But anyways, there was a wrist-rocket slingshot (the source of the BBs, by the by), three PSP games, and a couple of RC cars in there. I cackled maniacally over the slingshot and promptly hid it before my chain of command could take it away, then got out the cars. One was yellow, the other red. A buddy and I decided to race 'em.
Yeah.
The red 'un goez fasta.

Your family is awesome. Now just imagine what you could do if you combine the power of the wrist rocket and the RC cars!

We also need to perform scientific studies into the luckiness of the colour blue.

@ KnightDisciple: Well, it's like dis. Youz can't prove it, 'cuz you can only confirm boundaries an' dere's an infinite amounta dakka in da 'verse. Thus, youz can neva haf enuff.

@ The guy with the funny hair: Yeah, no kidding. They somehow managed to send care packages to my entire platoon. I know my father and stepmother enlisted the aid of my (perpetually fundless) church, but sheesh.
Also, nearly everyone got a dog hair somewhere in the tape. My parents have a black Lab.
I'm already working on combining the two. I've already figured out I can use the Red Un to deliver small items - it's only a matter of time until I figure out how to turn that into a payload delivery system.
RC Mini-MLRS! YES! HAHAHAA!

Red Wunz go fasta? Tell it to Louis Hamilton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lewis_Hamilton). I hear Ferrari weeping. :smalltongue:

Reminds me of the idea that was doing the rounds a while back of combining RC helicopters and paintball guns. Hours of fun...

Further proof that there is no greater power in the 'Verse than a human mind with the aim to misbehave. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w219/mwellenstein/Win/rock.gif

... The thought of that thing's reign of terror on the base fills me with delight and makes me giggle for more than ten seconds.
I'm to assume I'm not allowed to do it.

I take it you've read The Skippy List?

Surprisingly fun to do.
But they make you retake the piss test.

14 sounds similar to a standing order they've given me.
16 - Chief just don't care.
52 gets you odd looks.
53 gets you kicked off.
57 gets you hurt.
68 - They forbid the foil because it works.
75 is why I don't roll out on mission with the LT very often.
84 is why I can't drive a military vehicle except in direst emergency anymore.
87, as mentioned, is a standing order but shortened to 10 seconds.
90 - reminds me of the time I put my minis collection on display. In formation.
93 is a lie.
106 is very true. *Sigh*
111 has something to do with my fondness for 'squishing' things. Curiously, I won't run over dogs - but God can't help a vehicle I can catch up with.
120 pretty much just described all of my EO classes, ever. An all-male artillery unit in Alaska? Yeah. EO classes there are basically just "This is how you do political incorrectness with style".
136 is a bad idea. I'm just gonna put that out there. You have no idea how unfunny the LT thinks it is.
We've done 142. In the snow. I think it was about -20 out. Good times.
152-154 is pretty much our SOP for dealing with new troops. You gotta scar their psyches to make 'em fit in with the rest of us disfunctional savages, and drill sergeants just don't do it anymore.
172 just described why I'm not allowed near our PTSD guy.
184... Heheh. Look, guys have nightmares about my driving, okay?
189 is very true and very funny. We got a guy who'll eat buffalo dung, live goldfish, and pretty much anything he can catch. He hasn't even gone through SERE.

... I think the further from CONUS the unit gets, the more demented and warped they become.

When you are able to drive, you gotta say "I am a leaf on the wind. Watch how I soar" and then speed up. Hopefully, your teammates will get the reference.

It's against regulations only if you get caught! No guts, no clory!
(So says the guy who has already retired!)

Hey, I knows bad juju when I sees it. I'll take a pass on that. Ballistic glass or not, I don't wanna find out the hard way if a metal spear will go through a windshield.

I never said I wouldn't try it, I just said I wouldn't be allowed to keep it once they finally figured out where I was and disabled me and/or the paintchopper.

There's plenty of ideas of what to do with R/C helicopters on YouTube:

Bottle Rockets (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-MJtXIbf5I)
BB/Airsoft (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwwdXysSSDI&feature=related) (probably better than Paintball, more ammo, lighter)
A real gun (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yImuT0TLVCE&feature=related)

Paintball might work better for Your cars (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QU1GQtxWyQ&feature=related)
