So here is the idea, the game Too Human introduced the idea of a futuristic Norse Mythology setting with high technology leading to the creation of the new "Gods". So what I want to do is see how to create the feel of this and let the characters feel both the power of being a "God" and still provide challenges.
Here are a few of my ideas.
1st. Use UA Gestalt rules to power up the characters but to prevent dual mage cheese one half of your Gestalt must be fighter or Barbarian.
2nd. All characters use a point buy system and have 45 points to spend with no one allowed to have any stat below 10.
3rd. Race is human only but with one exception. Each person has to choose to be pure human or Cyberneticly enhanced.
Pure humans get to choose 1 additional feat at character lvls 1, 5, 10, 15, and 20 from any list you qualify from. Also there are gear options available only to humans.
Cybernetic characters get spell like enhancements in the form of cybernetics at the same lvls that count as spells enchanted with permanency. Once chosen they can not be altered.
At lvl 1 you may pick from Detect Magic, Endure elements, Protection from Evil, Disguise self (activated as a standard action at will), , Jump(activated as a standard action at will), or Expeditious Retreat (Activated as a standard action)
At lvl 5 you may pick from Resist energy(Must pick one type when gained), See Invisibility, Detect Thoughts(Activated as a standard action), All of the stat boosters, blur, and Spider Climb.
At lvl 10 you may pick from Arcane Sight, Nondecection, Tounges(activated as a standard action), Blink (activated as a standard action), Water Breathing, Hold Person(activated as a standard action), and Rage (activated as a standard action)
At lvl 15 you may pick from Crushing despair (activated as a standard action), , Stoneskin (activated as a standard action), Fire shield (activated as a standard action), Shout (activated as a standard action), Bestow Curse (activated as a standard action), and Fear (activated as a standard action)
At lvl 20 you may pick from Dismissal (activated as a standard action), Dominate person (activated as a standard action), Sending (activated as a standard action), Dream (activated as a standard action), Overland flight (activated as a standard action), and Hold Monster (activated as a standard action).
The saves are based as normal spell like abilities of thier lvl using Charisma as the casting stat.
So what does everyone think. Remember you are creating gods here so power is to be expected.
