So I've been tinkering around with Guitar Pro 5 for the last couple of years and I thought it was time that I shared some of the songs that I've written over the years. Most of them are going to sound like grunge or thrash. So if you don't like those genres of music please don't criticise them for those aspects. I'm open to constructive criticisms.

And also, before anything else is said: Yes, Metallica is one of my key influences with my written work.

Right, well first things first this is all out of personal opinion, rather then any actual musical experience.

1. I don't like how in some of the songs the sound tends to switch sides (especially noticeable if you're using headphones)1:06-1:22 in "untitled" in particular. It just doesn't work with this kind of music.

2. Not sure how to explain this one, they don't really seem to "flow" if that makes any sense. It just seems to stop at one part and then just play the next. (0:15-0:16 in "Hope" for example)

3. Some segments are just too long. 0:01-0:15, in "hope", that could have been cut at maybe 6 seconds in.

4. They're pretty damn repetitive at times. I ended up skipping quite a few chunks of "conflict" because it all sounded the same.

I'd also suggest using Youtube or the Newgrounds audio portal, so people can just stream the songs instead of having to download em.

But yeah, overall they aren't bad. But I wouldn't even consider putting em on my mp3 player.:smalltongue:
