how do I figure out my charcters HP

1st-3.X
Each Class will give you a dX.
Roll that die
Write down the number
AS you take damage the number gets lower
as you heal, it gets higher

Details might be nice. Just a few little things like, maybe, what game system you're using, and the basic build of your character.

Thats assuming that you are playing 3.5 edition.
If you are playing 4.0, check your class description.

A bit more detailed. (3.5 rules).

You start out with one hit die. You gain one hit die (HD) per level. Depending on what class you take for each level you gain, you get a particular kind of HD.

Combat frontliners tend to get high HD (d12 for barbarian, d10 for the paladin and fighter), while classes that are not meant for melee moshing have less HP (Wizards and sorcerers get d4).

1. At first level, you gain the maximum amount of HP your hit die can give. So if you're a fighter, you start out with 10 HP.
2. Add your Constitution modifier to that number. So if your Constitution is 16 (a +3 bonus), you start with 13 HP.
3. Every level you gain an additional HD, which you roll and add the result to your CON modifier. You then add that result to the HP you got from your previous level.

So let's say you gain a second level in fighter and rolled an 8 on your d10 roll. You get 11 HP and add that to your previous 13 HP for a total of 24 HP at level 2.

You get full hit dice for first level. I'm guessing the Fast Hero has a d6, so you get 6 from that. You next either roll for your hit points or take the average for each level. The average for any die is half the maximum, plus one half. So, for a d6 each level gives you 3.5 hit points. Two more levels of fast hero give you 7 more hp. I'll guess infiltrator gives you a d6 also, so that's another 3.5. That gives you a base of 6+7+3.5 which rounds to 16. Now, multiply your level by your Constitution bonus (not the numerical score, the bonus) and add that. So a bonus of +2 would add 2x4, or 8 hp for a total of 24.

tl;dr: Max at first, roll or take average for each die after that, add con x level.

So fast hero 3/Infiltrator 1 right? If so then you have 8+3d8+4*con modifier. If you have any other questions please refer to the D20 modern Srd (http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/modern/smack/srdhome.html)

Also, for simple questions like this one and some of the others you've posted, check out the Simple Q&A By RAW (All Games) (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98883&page=18) thread that's stickied in this very forum. It's a good place to ask quick rules questions without having to open a whole new thread on a small question.
