And I rest my case. Afroakuma is crazy/has WAY too much time on his hands.

Humanoid. Let's have a human. A really, really fleshed out, evil, evil villain human. With organization. And adventure. And campaign. And... and...

Yeah, I'll agree with Zarth. On both counts.

Humanoid because anthro-villains are more monstrous than anything else.

Humanoid. Some villain whose main distinctions are in personality and skill, not biology.

Lord Mancow

Monstrous humanoid, but preferably one with some sort of shape changing magic so it can look human then ambush them from another direction.

You could even operate it as two villians one shape changed and the other not.

I posted the result of VUAM 4e #2, by the way, in a new thread to avoid thread necromancying the old one. But noone was interested, because of VUAV V and VUACS. So Pandora's Paradox is not pending anymore, but I can't find the link.

Also, chalk one up for Aberration. I'm cool with either a Beholder villain (no one takes advantage of their being... intelligent!), or an Illithilich.

Oh, naturally; you were able to pull a villain out of a plant, for pete's sake.

The "you" there was more of a general sense, i.e. "there's a whole lot of directions one could go in with dragon," than you, specifically.

It....hardly matters at this point, but I don't see my vote for dragon tallied up there.

I assume Afro's at work or something just at the moment, but this is actually shaping up to be quite a race.

Nothing has a massive lead as yet, but the front-runners include Kobolds, Githzerai, Merfolk and the ubiquitous Humans (although none of these have more than a 4 point lead on any other option).

Could the winning race be one of these, or are we about to see something else entirely come from behind to win the day? Find out within the next few hours as we continue to Vote up a Villain.:smallwink:

And now, to return you to your regularly scheduled internet topic.

Juhn
2009-01-21, 04:20 PM
Partially because Kobolds are getting quite a suitable amount of love in the VUACS threads - at least IMO, I'm gonna vote Merfolk. Plus, come on, Merfolk. We've got to get back to the evil Merfolk. As sirens, or the man-eating eastern variety, or wikipedia provides these two options as well:

Other stories have them squeezing the life out of drowning men while attempting to rescue them.

others say they drown men out of spite.

That second one has the Motivation I've been trying to get through one of these times right in there, so Merfolk is certainly getting my vote. Of course, afro is more than likely to go in a direction entirely his own regardless of what wins, and it will of course also result in awesome.

Githzerai. We barely see them play any kind of role, and thus, they'd be more interesting antagonists than Kobolds or Merfolk, who are kind of played out by comparison.

While Ursula is definitely a high-ranking villain, one example doesn't make the case not rare.

I knew merfolk were humanoid, but until this particular race, I thought that the Gith brothers were both outsiders. Considering, you know, they live on other planes...
