True Vorpal

A True Vorpal weapon is one of the most powerful magical enhancements that can be added to a weapon. The blade of a True Vorpal weapon is transformed into a violet-purple sheet of energy that is almost infinitely thin. when attacking anything that has an intelligence score, upon the roll of a natural 20 (followed by a succesful roll to confirm the critical hit), the target must make a will save (DC = Attack roll +25) or have its soul severed from its body. this enhancement may only be added to a slashing weapon.

Caster level: 30th; Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, Craft Epic Magic Arms and Armor, Circle of Death, Keen Edge, Magic Jar; Price: +15 Bonus.

Charisma score makes a certain odd sense, with how you've justified it.

Yeah, doesn't every creature have a charisma score? I'd suggest changing it to intelligence or something like that.

It's actually in the definitions of nonabilities in the monster manual that without a Charisma score, it isn't actually a creature.

Outsiders and Elementals are listed as having their souls being "one unit" with their bodies. Magic Jar lists unintelligent undead as not having souls.

Int score might be a decent choice....

Do you have to hone the blade on sunlight (http://www.lspace.org/books/apf/reaper-man.html) then? ;)

The attack roll you mention to generate the DC of the Vorpal effect, is this the number rolled on the crit confirmation die plus 25? :o

I'm a bit lairy of vorpal enhancements and the Vorpal Crit feats as they stand (one hit kills - *bleuck!*). You might want to look at Upper_Krust's article on vorpal (http://www.immortalshandbook.com/sermon1.2.htm) for another possible mechanic...
