Really, really tough one here.

I was torn between Grandfather and Temporal Echo. They both just caught my imagination.

I guess I'm going to pick the Temporal Echo, just because I'm much more likely to use it.

Grandfather had really awesome mechanics though.

What are we supposed to be voting on specifically besides time?

Ughh, they are all so good...

Despite my usual tendency to vote for something not voted for, the Temporal Echo seems the best, most unique, and most likely to be used.

Well, standards include...

- Creativity
- Originality
- Inventive Mechanics
- Ease of Use
- Best expansion of the theme
- All around cool factor.

Or just whatever hits you the strongest as being a great creation. The criteria is up to you.

I'm voting for my own Temporal Echo. No offense, but it seems like the only one I would use in a campaign.

Like the Logman, I'm going to have to toot my own horn here, although I feel sort of bad doing so. I just really felt inspired when I created my entry.

So chalk one up for the Grandfather.

I've been sitting here narrowing it down for like 30 minutes now, and I guess I've finally decided on a final vote. I'm gonna go with the Sower of Seasons. I thought every part of it seemed cool, and I didn't have any major complaints about it. (Okay, maybe one - I might have given it a few little SLAs so combat doesn't devolve into Swift Action for Cycle of Seasons, then Slam ad nauseum).

I enjoyed all of the other entries, though, especially the Grandfather and Temporal Echo. They were the other "finalists" with the Sower, and picking just one was very difficult.

All these Time creatures are great creations and congrats to all.

My vote however shall go to Retrospect, with the Temporal Echo being a very close second.

I cast my vote for the Grandfather. The Retrospect comes in as a close second, though. I'm a sucker for Sigil...

And voting has come to a close.

TheLogman wins this month's contest in the nick of time with his destined creation, the Temporal Echo echo echo...

Lappy9000 takes the VT's Choice Award with his beautifully designed Diatocks.

Congrats!

i feel the need to comment on january's contest.

i was thoroughly impressed by the entries; there were a number of them that merit a place in an official book, if only 3.5 was still active.

the grandfather was the one that i felt had the best construction over all. the fluff was good, the idea compelling, the stats very nice, with some great, original work.

the temporal echo was an outstandingly cool idea; it reminded me of the kind of plot line to which dean koontz or neil gaiman would dedicate an entire book or two.

tock was nostalgically remarkable in that it gave a very good rendering of a character from a book that i remember fondly from when i was a kid. that was a definite add to my creature collection.

there were others that i liked very much, but i'll leave it at my top three.

anyway, cool beans. congrats, logman. good competition.

aaron out.
