Well, here in the OOC thread I'll claim rights to Indigo for my posts. In the tradition of the thread I will nitpick lostsole31 posting his color choice in the IC thread! ;) J/K... post wherever you like, I just couldn't resist the nitpick joke.

I thought it would be easier to see in the place where you end up posting that color, that's all.

And don't worry, Wiz ... I used to game in RL life with FlWiPig; he was one of my players (and is on another thread). So I am prepared with the nitpickers.

I am also ridiculously muleheaded when dealing with nit-pickers, as it fills me with no end of sadistic glee watching them churn faster and faster when I tend to be more c'est la-vie! :durkon:

Yeah, I went with Royal Blue. And I'm a nitpicker. *starts rifling through lostsole31's hair, in search of nits*

Heh... "a lexicon." I wish I was that witty when I was getting pinned by bullies.

I will go with teal as my color for speech.

...Looking at it, I think Arthur Hebberon may've fallen into the wrong campaign. Making copies and fixing printers? This is clearly an encounter from "Super Office Worker RPG"

Here's that Notice check again [roll0] (plus any applicable modifiers)

...and thank goodness for high modifiers!:smallwink:

...And welcome to our first combat!

I'm already liking where this story is headed... I had an idea of where it'd go from the start, but y'all totally new directioned it.

--drum-n-bass (Arthur): Sorry you're sitting this one out... I'll make it up to you later.

--Wiz (Billy King): Do you have a mythweavers character sheet? I couldn't find a link in the recruiting thread, and was looking for a place to find your AC, attack bonuses, in case you look to join the fray.

I just want to point out the ironic level of rules analysis in your last IC post, Lost, considering the lighthearted nature of both the rules and the flavor of Grimm. It made me chuckle a bit. I kid because I love, though.:smallwink:

I can mention that Larry furiously ducks and dodges ... but at the end of the day I still have to make sure the DM knows exactly what actions I am invoking. The character doesn't recognize himself as "using the Dodge feat" and "using total defense" and "using the Nimbleness skill for the avoidance ability" ... that would be preposterous. He just wants to not get hit as best he can, make Frank have to work, and rile Frank up so bad that once he gets ahold of Larry ... he's merciless.

Oh, and Grimm can be light-hearted ... and will be light-hearted. But the internalizations of the character don't have to be.

Sorry folks... got a Differential Equations test tomorrow. I want to do the story justice, so please bear with a one-day stall.

Again... I'm sorry for the delay. :smallfrown:

Terra, thanks so much for the thoughtful warning! I actually had been wondering where you'd gone, but apology not necessary. In fact, kudos to you for taking the moment that it took to let us know what's up. It's very clear the amount of effort you put into your posts, so we (well I know I do) appreciate your willingness to wait a day to make it right. Best of luck on the test, sir, and happy gaming when you get back!

:smallsigh: Sounds like someone took the DM Butt-kissing feat!

[Just kidding, buddy ... yeah, he let us know on his D&D thread, too. Much appreciated, Spaz, and break a leg!]

Nah, I got it as a bonus feat from my Flaw: having played in your games, Lost!:smalltongue:

Really, though, it's only buttkissing if you don't mean it; I think it was pretty damn considerate of the fella, considering he is a stranger to me. You, OTOH, I would expect such notice from, but that's experience talking...not that I don't appreciate it from you, either, but, y'know...that's just my Lazy Flaw.:smallwink:

Dude! I didn't notice until just now when I looked at the actual number I got on Nimbleness to "tumble" away ... it was a natural 20 with a total score of 28!! I must have looked like super-ninja!

Let me know if I'm taking too much control, spaz, but I'm basically running under the assumption that Billy Eckert routinely spends a lot of time in the nurse's office, because due to his cancer/chemotherapy/weakened immune system/et al, he is generally coddled whenever he has an episode like he had when he sprinted in to tell Mrs. Warner about the fight. Basically, he feels like he is being babied, and generally hates it and tries to get back to class as soon as he is allowed, usually, but he made an exception this time, because he was worried about Billy King having been knocked out by Eckert's least favorite bully, Frank the Tank.

Alright, another test bonecrushed!

Back to your regularly scheduled day at sch...
...
...Come to think of it, if this is a normal day at school for you folks, it's a miracle half of you are still alive.

Fights, K'O'ed by milk... Really, Arthur, you're the only safe one so far.

Guess that fits, come to think of it.

Well, folks, it is a pretty much assured thing ... this thread is dead.

Terraspaz, if by some miracle you come back to us, please PM me as I will remove the subscription to both threads to reduce clutter on my subscription page. :smallsigh:

Well, good luck, everybody, and good gaming elsewhere.
