PowerPoint help

I'm working on a PowerPoint presentation for school and I've run into two problems.
1) How do I attach background music that doesn't stop when the slide changes?
2) How do I make the slides change automatically?

You should be able to set slides to a timer on the transitions window methinks. not sure about the music though.

That works. Now to figure out the music.

You should just be able to attach music to the first slide. It shouldn't stop when you switch slides. (At least with 2004. I've done it.)
