I've been scouring the 'net and have yet to find what I'm looking for. Anyone know where I might go to find one?

Before you ask, I needs it for my Great Cthuhlu costume.

Now that's always a good start to a thread :smallamused:

I don't know about large rubber octopuses, but how about rubber snakes or stuffed stockings?

i second this.
if you want to go the extra mile fill the stockings with those plastic tubes that fold in on themselves to give the tentacles a squishy feel.

Why not take a real octopus? It's squishy!

I agree that rubber snakes, beheaded, would work best. With a rubber octopus you would have to do something with the head, because it wouldn't really fit in.

I can think of one good reason.

Anyone remember Barney Calhoun's nickname for headcrabs?

Also, octapi bore easily. Once it learns the hat trick, it probably would do it once, maybe twice more and be done with it.

Seriously, you obviously have internet access, why are you asking here instead of a search engine? :smallconfused:

For example, the first result on google is: http://www.thebigzoo.com/shopping/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=293

Something tells me he has, and has yet to find what he is looking for and is turning to a forum that might have an idea of where to look for a more direct search

Remember that part where I said I've been scouring the 'net? Remember how I'm not an idiot and know how to use google? Obviously not.

ANYhoos, thanks all for your help and entertaining (if sometimes offtopic) posts. I shall continue my quest, taking your suggestions into consideration. THE CATS TRANSFORM AND ROLL OUT! kookoochchkookee

Allow me to re-phrase, then.

What is it about the plethora of rubber octopuses readily available that fails to satisfy your needs?

Most of them seem rather small, not exactly 'giant'. That could be his issue.

I for one now want that 3 foot plush octoface.

I'm not gonna lie. Whenever I hear the words "large" and "rubber" together my mind immediately goes to one thought. Yes, I am that immature. For those of you who don't know what I'm taking about, here's a link. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQYQTFudrqc&feature=related)

Buying a real octopus at a seafood store would be the cheapest and scariest option.

They did it on Kenny vs Spenny.

1. Yeah, they're too small
2. I was thinking 'ewwwww' then I saw the videa and was all XD
3. Saw that episode. Amazed the octopus on Spenny's head didn't make for a bad trip.

Firstly: best topic title ever.
Secondly: I may have to join the search for a rubber octopus as my next quest... I can't really come up with better suggestions than anyone else here but it would have to be a pretty specialist place... Hey, maybe it's a niche market yet to be exploited- Dragon's Den here I come!

I must say I found plenty of rubber octopi via google, but not giant ones.
