Yes, yes, I know, this horse is beaten so dead that it uncroaked and back again.

Right so, post general Ideas on a fighter that you would like to see in the next SSB. The only restriction that I can think of is no characters that haven't appeared on a nintendo system. So Naruto is okay, but no Master Chief.

Strong Bad from SBCG4AP (Wii) Symbol; Homestar's face.
Weight is average and power is slightly more, um, powerful. However, Strong bad is clearly not the fastest of the Homestar Runner group.

B: Energy punch; Strong bad learned this from Stinkoman. Power along the lines of Luigi's Fireball.
Side B: Kick teh Cheat!; variation on Waddle Dee throw, it has higher power than a Waddle Dee or Doo but less than the Spikeball.
Up B: Jump; Aside from Strong Bad shouting "Looks like I have to jump...", this is a nondamage recovery.

FINAL SMASH; high-res SB and Trogdor! First, Strong Bad draws Troggie on the background, and then transforms into the High res versions seen in Episode 5. Speed and attack are increased. A; attack with sword. B (but up); Place Peasant. Strong Bad presents a peasant as sacrifice. the peasant then run madly, damaging opponents. For best effect, use this when your within swords-reach of an opponent and Strong Bad will use them instead of a peasant. Effects are similar to Lip's stick Flower and Spicy Curry at the same time.

Fun stuff. I believe a phrase Yahtzee uses at one point is 'beating a pile of wobbling giblets that used to be a horse'

The main thing I'd want from future SSB games when it comes to characters is GOOD Fire Emblem characters. We have yet to get a Fire Emblem character who is interesting, at least in my opinion. I mean, Ike is a good character in Brawl, but I hated Path of Radiance, and he didn't seem terribly interesting in it anyways.

Lynn would be great, as would Hector as a nice FE heavy character with his huge axe. A sage, hero, or swordmaster would be nice too, as they are all really awesome classes. Perhaps Pent, Raven, and Guy.

Here's a video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPXDTRPe-QI)of FE character criticals on GBA. Hero shows up at about 1:30. The dude with the sword sheathed on the inside of his shield.

Here's one of the mages (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=my2GMuRTtvU&feature=related). The sage shows up at about 0:55, the one who draws the blue rune in the air.

And swordsmen (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhZa2YkVRH4&feature=related), Myrmidon is at 0:26, Swormaster at 0:36. They are both beasts.

Man, why did the gamecube versions remove all of this awesome. They made the characters' attacks so unstylish.

I have been waiting for such a thread as this to once again emerge from the forbidden depths that are the combined minds of the eldritch beings known to the universe as the Playgrounders. And yes, I have some ideas, as well, for the overwhelming force of creation within me is just waiting to be unleashed.

Foolish mortals.

*Spoiler Warning for the following game(s): Super Mario Sunshine*

Krystal
Series: Star Fox

Reason: She's an obvious fighter! I can't imagine why they didn't include her in SSBB.

Details: Her primary weapon is her staff, which also functions as the implement for her special attacks. The special attacks are the staff abilities from Star Fox Adventures. Similar to Wario, she can choose between two "models" (with separate palettes): her original, metal bikini appearance from Adventures, and her later flight suit.

B: Fire Blast
B-Up: Rocket Thrust
B-Down: Ground Quake
B-Smash: Ice Blast
Final Smash: Don't know, but not the Landmaster, anyway

Bowser Jr.
Series: Super Mario

Reason:He's pretty well established by now, and won't be a clone.

Details: Like a lighter variant of his dad, but with a transformation twist.

B: Fire Breath
B-Up: Whirling Fortress
B-Down: Ground Pound
B-Smash: Shadow Shift: Shifts into Shadow Mario form.
Final Smash: Titan Bowser: Like what Kamek did to Baby Bowser in the final fight in Super Mario World 2. Be afraid.

Shadow Mario form:
B: Paintball: Launches a ball of sludge, similar to Mario's fireball.
B-Up: Leaping Smash: Jumps and hits the opponent with the sludge-paintbrush. Similar to Mario's B-Up move.
B-Down: Sludge Whirlwind: Spins around, spreading sludge.
B-Smash: Shadow Shift: Shifts back into Bowser Jr.
Final Smash: Sludge Flood: Floods the stage with sludge that impedes your opponents' movement.

Mewtwo
Series: Pokémon

Reason: Lucario can never take his place!

Details: Overall very similar to his appearance in SSBM.

Final Smash: Armor Suit: Gains a suit of high-tech armor that increases his powers and allows him to fly around.

More to come...

Masked Link

This version of Link doesn't actually use his Kokiri form, instead he begins by donning either the mask that's selected on the character select screen or a random one. He can change through the Masks by using the three taunts.

Up taunt: Deku Mask - When wearing the mask he instead performs the Sonata of Awakening on his Pipes of Awakening.
Side taunt: Zora Mask - When wearing the mask he instead performs the New Wave Bossa Nova on his Guitar of Waves.
Down taunt: Goron Mask - When wearing the mask he instead performs the Goron Lullaby on his Drums of Sleep.

Deku Link
Weight: Light
Air speed: Medium
Ground speed: Medium

B: Bubble Blast - He charges up a bubble, it can be aimed by tilting the control stick up and down. When used in the air it causes him to float slightly. It can be rapidly blasted which causes it to go a longer distance, faster, but with less damage and an erratic trajectory.
B>: Deku Nut - Throws a weaker version of the Deku Nut.
B^: Deku-copter - Can be used in the air to pull out two flowers that act as helicopter blades. When used on the ground he hops up slightly and pulls them out.
Bv: Deku Flower - He dives into the ground and pops out when anything gets close, can use the Deku-copter afterwards.

Zora Link
Weight: Medium
Air speed: Fast
Ground speed: Fast

B: Boomerang Fins: Fires his fins in front of him, they're faster and do less damage than the normal ones, however there are two of them so the damage is overall greater.
B>: Electric Dive: Link dives through the air whilst surrounding himself with an electric aura.
B^: Flip Jump: He backflips through the air, by pressing the attack button he'll do a somersault, slashing anything hit with his arm fins
Bv: Fin Shield: Crouches down and makes one of his fins large, it reflects projectiles and can flip the enemy around if timed correctly.

Goron Link
Weight: Heavy
Air speed: Slow
Ground speed: Slow

B: Goron Punch: Charges up a punch, if it hits he'll follow it up with a second punch.
B>: Goron Roll: Curls up into a ball and rolls, gaining more speed as he rolls and eventually getting spikes.
B^: Goron Pound: Jumps up and crashes down in front of him.
Bv: Powder Keg: Goron Link places a powder keg at his feet, it's slow to detonate but it can be picked up and thrown, it will then explode when it hits something. It has the same weight as a crate item.

Final Smash: Fierce Deity Link: Link grows in size (the size of Adult Link after a Super Mushroom). He takes no damage in this form and it lasts the same duration as Wario-man. He has the same attacks as normal Link, except he has greater range and different specials, some of which are variations of other moves Link uses or powerful moves from other incarnations.

B: Sword Beam: Holds his sword out with one arm and fires discs of light out of it. Low knockback, spammable, low damage.
B>: Sword Boomerang: Throws the sword as if it was a boomerang. Low knockback, slow, medium damage.
B^: Hurricane Spin: Charges up a spin attack, can move horizontally when it's released. No knockback, fast, medium damage.
Bv: Mortal Draw: A counter attack that causes huge knockback. Huge knockback, medium, high damage.

Masked Link

Very good, I was thinking of such a concept, but couldn't quite get it to work.

More "people":

Kamek
Series: Super Mario

Symbol: Bowser Shell

Reason: We need more male spellcasters. And he's a cool, semi-major villainous character.

Details: As the Magikoopa Archmage, Kamek relies on spellcasting as his main mode of attack. He also has his trusty broom, enabling him to fly.

B: Magic Blast: Fires a blast of magic that deals damage and lowers an enemy's power.
B-Up: Magikoopa Broom: Kamek mounts his magic broom, enabling him to fly. However, if he takes damage he falls off, and he cannot attack while mounted.
B-Down: Magic Wave: Sends out a wave of magic to the left and right, causing one of three effects on enemies: damage, shrinking, or enlargening.
B-Smash: Blink: Teleports forward a bit, dealing magic damage.
Final Smash: Arcane Inferno: Kamek flies around on his broomstick, casting various spells onto the battlefield, such as magic blasts, fireballs, and summoning.

Dry Bowser
Series: Super Mario

Symbol: Bowser Shell

Reason: It's undead bowser! What more could you want?

Details: While Dry Bowser may appear like (and is) Bowser, and indeed, they share some traits, such as being heavy melee combatants, his abilities actually differ for the most.

B: Deathfire Breath: Like Bowser's Fire Breath, but more eevil.
B-Up: Magma Shell: Like Bowser's Spinning Fortress, but with added fire.
B-Down: Roar of Undeath: Lets loose a terrifying roar, leaving enemies intimidated and stunned.
B-Smash: Bone Hammer: Hurls a wicked hammer made of bone at an enemy.
Final Smash: Dry Army: Summons a legion of dry bones to do battle against the enemies of the Skeletal King.

Reason: We need more male spellcasters. And he's a cool, semi-major villainous character.

More male spellcasters would be nice. I was thinking Kefka myself, but I'm not sure how I'd stat him out. Light of Judgement is obvious for a Final Smash, and it'd be too funny to not make his down-B Sand on my Boots, summoning a pair of soldiers who then walk off attacking people, but other than that...

Hm. His up-B would probably involve morphing into his final boss form, giving him wings which he would presumably use similar to Pit, while normal-B... Let's make normal-B that pyramid shield thing he uses during the taunts before the final fight, working similar to Zelda's Nayru's Love reflector. Side-B then is the last one, and while he only used one in a flashback it's probably appropriate to make this a Magitech Armor driveby.

That's it, then!
Kefka Pallazo, God of Magic
Moveset:
B: Triad Barrier: Works as a reflector
Side-B: Magitech Mayhem: Kefka gets into a suit of Magitech Armor and charges. Actually, make this one like Wario Bike if we're referencing old mechanics.
Down-B: Sand on my Boots: A pair of Imperial soldiers appear, clean off Kefka's shoes, and then walk off to either side. The soldiers absorb a few hits before they drop, meaning that they can be used as a shield for Kefka, and deal damage to people they run into.
Up-B: Dancing Mad: Kefka grows angelic and demonic wings and flies upwards.

Final Smash: Light of Judgement: Kefka goes into his Dancing Mad form, flies into the background, and then a beam of light slashes across the ground, dealing massive damage and knockback. Probably have to make it dodgable by being far enough into the air, or just make it go vertically across the screen from one side to the other predictably and make it possible to air-dodge through with the right timing.

Dancing Mad probably needs a more appropriate name, as that doesn't really fit the effect at all. The reason I chose it was because it's the name of the music that plays during that battle.

Edit: Making Kefka got me to thinking about other characters from that game, specifically Terra Branford. Can't have the big bad of a game without it's main hero(es), right?

I'm thinking something a bit different for her. Her Esper form is iconic, but it doesn't seem like something that would be a final smash. So, my thought is to give it a charge mechanic, similar to ROB's rocket boosters. You can Morph, getting a boost to damage, knockback, speed, and jumping capability, but only for a limited time. The longer you stay before you Revert, the longer it takes to recharge the full time period.

For her Final Smash, I'm thinking that she'd summon Maduin.

Terra Branford, Half-Esper
Moveset:
B: Fire: Low flames shoot out a roll along the ground, similar to Ice Climber's B-move, except would have a constant speed and not be able to be turned around by hills.
Side-B: Drain: Sends out a short-ranged projectile that damages enemies and heals Terra if it hits.
Down-B: Morph/Revert: Terra changes from her human to esper form and back. In Esper form, all of her attacks have better damage and knockback. She also gains a multijump and glide ability. The boosts would not be as big as, say, Wario-Man's, though, probably only boosting power by 10-30% and for a strictly limited time.
Up-B: Teleport: Very much similar to Zelda's Farore's Wind power.

Final Smash: Maduin: Terra warps out, her father warps in, and deals a wide AoE attack.

Dark Samus

Series: Metroid Prime series

Reason: The Metroid series needs more characters in SSB

Style: Dark Samus is moderately slow, but is pretty heavy, and has good damage output

Taunt 1: DS hovers and laughs that wierd Dark Samus laugh
Taunt 2: DS partially disperses and reforms mockingly
Taunt 3: DS spins around in a circle menacingly.

B: Chargable laser that is NOT a finishing move in any way, just damaging.
B>: Morph Ball Rush, similar to Yoshi's egg roll
BV: Phazon Field: Similar to Naryu's Love
B^: Disperses into a cloud of phazon particles and re-appears a few feet up or whatever direction the player controls

A: one-two slow but damaging punches
Smash A: A blob of phazon appears on DS's arm cannon, and it will be thrusted forward at the unfortunate foe
Run+A: Turns self into a ball of phazon and rushed forward a small distance
Smash AV: Fires downward, releasing a very small disc of devastating phazon energy.
AV: Short ranged single-direction kick
Smash A^: DS thrusts her arm cannon upward, greeting anyone dumb enough to be in the way with a sphere of damaging phazon energy.

Final Smash:
Dark Samus splits into 3 parts, 2 computer-controlled Level 9 invincible Dark Samii, while the player retains normal control of one of the 3 samii, while still being invincible as well. After the duration, the 2 cpu samii explode harmlessly, and the player's invulnerability is lost.

(I REALLY wanted to see this character in for Brawl. :smallfrown:)

You knew it was coming, it's the greatest not me...
Homestar Runner.com!!!! Series; Homestar Runner
Lighter than Strong Bad, he's the fastest of the Homestar group and has decent combos to make up for his lack of power.

Side B: Multi-Kick; a Side move similar to Diddy Kong's but focuses on damage than grabbing. For ref, see this Hremail (http://www.homestarrunner.com/hremail2000.html)'s secret video at the end.
Down B: Spin-kick; Learned from 1-Up, also similar to Luigi's move. Can also be used (slightly) for recovery.
Up B: ????; Okay, is Homstar really in the game or is it Homsar? anyway, Homestar goes woooooooah and starts floating.

FINAL SMASH! Plays the Homestar Runner intro before cutting back to see everyone else sleeping and/or Lip stick'd.

Waluigi (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5753593&postcount=14), by Lord Xavius

Twinrova
Series: Legend of Zelda

Symbol: Triforce

Reason: Cool and pretty important villain(s), great potential for uniqueness.

Details: Similar to the Ice Climbers, Twinrova is two characters: Koume and Kotake. At character selection, you choose which of the witches to control, and you can switch this in battle by using one of the taunts. They wield a dangerous combiantion of fire and ice. The leading witch determines which element is the most powerful for the B, B-Up, and B-Down attacks. Both witches ride on their brooms, allowing for limited flight.

B: Elemental Blast: Fires a blast of fire and ice. The fire blast has a chance to set the enemy on fire, dealing damage over time, while the ice blast may cause a freezing effect.
B-Up: Elemental Ascent: The witches spiral upwards on their brooms in a torrent of fire and ice.
B-Down: Elemental Aura: The leading witch activates an aura of her element, causing enemies in melee to suffer from damage and a risk of burning or freezing. However, this attack damages the witches, so don't leave it on for an extended period of time.
B-Smash: Befuddle: Confuses an enemy, rending it harmless for a few seconds.
Final Smash: Ultimate Twinrova: Koume and Kotake combine into their ultimate form, as seen in Ocarina of Time. Both Koume and Kotake have to be alive, if one of the witches is dead, this ability instead revives her.

Phantom Ganon
Series: Legend of Zelda

Symbol: Triforce

Reason: More cool villains, yay!

Details: Phantom Ganon's appearance is based on his appearance in Wind Waker, meaning he wields a cool sword and hurls energy balls. Phantom Ganon is primarily a heavy melee opponent.

B: Energy Sphere: Hurls a ball of energy at an enemy. The sphere is powerful, but can be reflected with well-timed normal attacks.
B-Up: Phantom Leap: Phantom Ganon leaps into the air, but leaves an illusionary copy of himself behind to perform a single strike.
B-Down: Beast's Blade: Unleashes a deadly bladestorm, striking adjacent enemies with the power of shadow.
B-Smash: Shadow Terror: Dashes forward, multiplying himself briefly and striking with three attacks at once.
Final Smash: Puppet Ganon: Phantom Ganon disappears and calls in Puppet Ganon, in a form chosen at random from amongst his three Wind Waker forms. After a while, or if Puppet Ganon is defeated, Phantom Ganon returns.

Skull Kid
Series: Legend of Zelda

Symbol: Majora's Mask

Reason: Majora is basically chaos incarnate. Which makes for a perfect playing style!

Details: Skull Kid is not the real fighter, but rather, Majora is. Majora's Mask has control over the poor creature, and its powers are vicious and cruel.

B: Ruin: Launches a ruinous blast at the enemy.
B-Up: Chaos Beam: Rises upwards in a beam of chaotic energy that harms those who touch it.
B-Down: Psychokinetic Pull: Brings all enemies down to the ground and slows down their movement.
B-Side: Baleful Transformation: Channels chaos magic into the target, holding it into place and slowly transforming it into an immobile tree (or similar object) for some time. This attack does not come into effect immediately, since it holds significant power, but takes time, and is interrupted if the intended victim breaks free.
Final Smash: Majora's Wrath: Turns into the über-powerful Majora's Wrath, a god-like being of destruction and chaos.

...And now it's time for Smash Bros (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SuperSmashBros)Vs Capcom (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CapcomVsWhatever)!

Mega Man Zero

Series: Mega Man X/Mega Man Zero (Abilities culled from MMZ 2&3)
Reason: He's my favorite Mega Man...

Details: Handling like a hybrid of Adult Link and Marth, Zero is slightly slower than Marth and somewhat lighter than Link. His Z-Buster and Z-Saber allow him great versatility. Unlike those two, however, he can wall-jump as easily as Power Suit Samus.

A attacks: Z-Saber slashes
Neutral B: Z-Buster, like Super Scope/Fox & Samus's lasers, press B rapidly for three weak shots, hold B to charge up a deadlier attack.
-> B: Throw Saber/Kougenjin, throws wave of sword energy straight ahead
V B: Shield Boomerang, blocks specials & ranged
^ B: Split Heaven/Tenshouzan, jumping slash like Marth's Dolphin Slash

Final Smash: Ultimate Mode: Similar to ROB and Wario's FS, Zero becomes invulnerable, faster, and stronger.

Colors: (changes modify armor color) Red (Normal), Green, Blue, Black, Yellow, Orange

Right so, post general Ideas on a fighter that you would like to see in the next SSB. The only restriction that I can think of is no characters that haven't appeared on a nintendo system. So Naruto is okay, but no Master Chief.

Actually, I believe that official restrictions on that poll Nintendo ran before SSBB came out was that the character had to have been on a nintendo system and have originated in a video game.

Masked Link

Series: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Reason: It would be nice to see a Young Link with a playstyle completely different from Link's

Details:
Masked Link does not shift into diffrent characters permanetnly through any one move. Instead he shifts in and out of his various forms for the duration of certain attacks, changing his physical attributes accordingly until the move ends and he returns to Link form.

Some of Masked Link's A moves cause a shift, such as the Side Smash which shifts into Goron form for a Goron Punch, the Dash attack which shifts into Deku form for a spinning slash, and many aerial moves, where he uses Zora form for extended reach and more power.

Specials:
B: Deku Bubble. Link shifts into Deku form and charges a magic snout bubble. The bubble becomes larger and more powerful the more it is charged. Charging too long pops the bubble, wasting it, and the bubble must pop or be fired. The charge cannot be held.

Up B: Song of Soaring. White owl wings embrace Link and teleport him a short distance.

Down B: Zora Field: Link shifts into Zora form and electrifies his surroundings with a magical Zora electric field. The field diminishes with use and recharges with disuse, much like Bowser's flame breath.

Side B: Goron Roll: Link shifts into Goron form, curls up, and sprouts spikes before rolling around the stage. The move is functionally similar to Yoshi's Egg Roll, but is a bit harder to control and deals more damage.

Final Smash: Fierce Deity. Link shifts into Oni Link form. Once in this form, he uses his magical Helix Sword, and unleashes a hailstorm of magic disks from frantic swings of the blade

Geno:
Series: Super Mario RPG

Reason: It's frickin' Geno, man. (also, he's a fan favorite)

Details: Geno's attacks would be centered around the munitions that his puppet body holds. Many weaker A attacks would involve swings of his arm accompanied by short range star or bullet bursts. (functionally similar, but much cooler then a sword swipe, and deals its damage in small rapid fire pegs). Other physical moves include rocket fists and drop kicks. He would be light (he's a frickin' puppet) but strong.

Specials:
B: Geno Beam. Standard fare, hold B and Geno charges up power (represented by red stars under him). Releasing it fires a liner beam of power along the range of a similarly charged Charge Shot. Charge can't be held.

Smash B: Geno Whirl. Geno produces a spiraling disc of destructive energy that he frisbees at the foe. The move is damaging and can spike an enemy into the ground if it hits them in the air. However, there is no knockback, just knockdown.

Down B: Geno Blast. Geno slams his hand on the ground, and multicolored blasts of light fire vertically and erratically around him down into the ground.

Up B: Geno Boost. Up arrows surround Geno as he levitates into the air.

Final Smash: Geno Flash. Geno's body morphs into a cannon, which then fire's Geno's true form, a star, out. Geno makes a face and goes nova, causing a huge explosion around him.

Also: New Final Smashes.
Diddy Kong: Guitar Gazump. He whips out the star-shaped electric guitar from DK 64 and rocks out, producing damaging sound waves in all directions.

Falco: Arwing. This is why Falco prefers the air. The arwing flies about, can be aimed, and fires lasers and can drop Nova bombs.

Wolf: Air Strike. Wolf calls down air support from the other members of his team. First, Panther comes in, taking random potshots with his slow but immensely powerful Zapper laser. Then Leon instantly targets everything on the screen, thanks to his ship's Wide Lock, for a homing blast.

Mii
Nintendo Wii

Symbol: The Wii logo

Reason: It’s fun in Mario Kart.

Details: As in Mario Kart Wii, you, instead of chosing a skin, choose a Mii you have previously made in the Mii Channel of your Wii. The “size” of your Mii determines if it’s light, medium, or heavy in its combat style. For special attacks, the Mii uses implements from Wii Sports.

B: Knockout: Delivers two quick punches with boxing gloves.
B-Up: Tennis Smash: Leaps up and smashes with a tennis racket.
B-Down: Strike: Hurls a bowling ball.
B-Smash: Baseball Smash: Smashes with a baseball bat (less powerful version of the Homerun Bat’s charged attack).
Final Smash: Play Wii: Equips the Mii with a Wii controller (with nuchuk, of course). This deadly combination allows for the Mii to fire lethal blasts of energy (with A) and, by using it in place of bats, rackets, and gloves, makes the special attacks even deadlier.

Samurai Goroh
F-Zero

Symbol: Rising Sun

Reason: We need more than one F-Zero character, and he's already an Assist Trophy.

Details: Goroh is a heavy character who is at the same time very fast on the ground. His primary means of attack is his katana.

B: Samurai Blade: A charged-up sword attack, like Roy's from SSBM but a bit quicker.
B-Up: Fire Thrust: Leaps diagonally upwards, striking with a burning sword attack at those in the way.
B-Down: Kiai Shout: Unleashes a devastating shout, knocking enemies over.
B-Smash: Katana Dash: Dashes forward, slashing three times at the enemy.
Final Smash: Fire Stingray: Like Captain Falcon's final smash.

Waluigi
Super Mario

Symbol: Inverted "L"

Reason: He already exists as an Assist Trophy, and he frankly deserves to be in the game.

Details: Waluigi prefers to fight dirty. Physically, he is a pretty average character, but his abilities rely on cunning tactics.

B: Power Kick: Delivers a quick but powerful kick to an enemy, which may plant him/her into the ground.
B-Up: Waluigi Punch: Similar to Mario and Luigi's B-Up attacks, but with a chance of causing a small explosion.
B-Down: Bob-Omb: Brings out a red Bob-Omb, a weaker version of the usable item. Once in a while, Waluigi may instead equip an Eggplant Man, which will walk around and deal damage to enemies it passes before disappearing.
B-Smash: Dirty Smash: A wicked smash with a tennis racket.
Final Smash: Chaos Music: Wicked music starts to play, which has a variety of negative (but positive for Waluigi, of course) effects. He also dances.

McDohl
Tir McDohl, Champion and Leader of the Liberation Army

Game: Suikoden
Reason: Because if they can get Snake, they can get other Konami Characters!
Symbol: The Soul Eater
Details: The staff-wielding main character from Super Smash Brothers and his True Rune.

B: Thrust with staff
B-Up: Short staff spin with slight knockback
B-Down: Backhanded staff attack
B-Smash: Spins staff above head, then a quick double strike that knocks the opponent upwards if they aren't smashed.
Final Smash: McDohl calls upon the power of the Soul Eater to bring judgement upon his enemies in holy light from the sky. Rather like Ness's Final Smash, only faster and more concentrated in area.

I know nothing of moves, but I'd love to see this guy in a SSB game:

SHIGERU MIYAMOTO

Miyamoto-sama

Series: REALITY
Style: Awesomesauce. Wields Wiimote & Nunchuck.

B: Wii Music. Plays a part of Totaka's Song (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Totaka%27s_Song#Totaka.27s_Song).
^B: Spin Attack. Like Link's.
v B: Wii Fit. Strikes a pose, entering a Counter-type phase.
> B: Fireball. As Mario's.

FINAL SMASH: Chabudai Gaeshi. (The "Miyamoto Test"/"Upending the tea table") Unleashes a massive shockwave, capable of OHKO.

From Fire Emblem 10 comes...
Sothe
He plays like a Luigified version of Sheik. Both harder to KO and more Power than Sheik, he's also slightly slower. As part of the Luigi process, some moves are replaced.
A: He uses his daggers to slice at close range. Can be a three hit combo, not a multi-hit, and is more powerful.
B: Knife throw; Little to none difference to Sheik's B.
Side B: Leaping Stab; This is more like Wolf's side than anything. Hits at a lower angle and can knock opponents down.
Up B: Vanish; Again, little to no difference between Sothe's and Sheik's.
Down B: Counter; Like the other FE characters, Sothe can use this to counterattack. Stabs opponent in the back.

Final Smash: BANE; Like Galaxia Darkness, if Sothe hits an opponent at the start up, he attacks everyone. However, it also seems to be slightly more powerful, but still can't quite OHKO an opponent.

*May contain spoilers for Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past*

Agahnim
Legend of Zelda

Symbol: Triforce

Reason: Cool evil wizard.

Details: The evil wizard Agahnim returns from the third (and possibly also fourth) Legend of Zelda game. He uses an array of wicked sorcery to aid him in combat.

B: Sorcerous Blast: Similarly to Phantom Ganon's Energy Sphere, launches a powerful ball of destructive magic that can be reflected back by attacks. Agahnim's Blast is more powerful than Phantom Ganon's, but it is easier to parry. Once in a while, a Scatter Blast will be launched instead, splitting into multiple projectiles if reflected.
B-Up: Dark Wings: Turns momentarily into a bat and flies upwards. You can control if you want to fly to the sides.
B-Down: Lightning Storm: Unleashes a wave of powerful lightning in the direction Agahnim is facing.
B-Smash: Shadow Warp: Slips into shadow and moves in the chosen direction, unimpeded by barriers. Only usable on the ground.
Final Smash: Dark Lord Ganon: Agahnim reveals his true form, that of the Dark Lord, Ganon. This is not the same attack as the one possessed by Ganondorf, however. This Ganon is under the player's control, sort of like Giga Bowser, and controls a swarm of Fire Keeses used to harass enemies while beating them senseless with his trident.

Tha's what I'm talking about!

http://tf2wiki.net/w/images/c/c9/Scouttaunt3.PNG

The only restriction that I can think of is no characters that haven't appeared on a nintendo system.

Frickin' unbelieveable. :smallwink:

Anyway, the inclusion of Valve characters, or, even better, design, would be the only way anyone could persuade me to play SSB.

[QUOTE=NecroRebel;5756042]
*snip*
Kefka Pallazo, God of Magic
*Snp*
Terra Branford, Half-Esper
*Snip*

Both of these characters are in Dissidia: Final Fantasy, which is an awesome fighting game in and of itself. If you want to play as Kefka or Tina (sorry, I'm on of those wankers who tends to use characters' original names, apologies all), all you need is a PSP and patience (the english version comes out in 3 months or so) or a decent understanding of Japanese :D I don't speak a lick of Japanese myself, but imported the game nonetheless. It's fun, but not remotely as fun as it could be if I understood it. That being said the Japanese voice cast is unbelievably awesome. They got some of the biggest names in seiyū to do the characters.

As for characters I'd like to see in SSB? Hmmm.... How about some love for Geno from Super Mario RPG? or possibly

Let's be silly for just a moment, and what about adding in, as an unlockable character, Captain N The Game Master. Some of you folks have to be 80's-90's kids like myself, so hopefully this reference is not lost. If it is, I am so very very sorry. Imagine though "A New Challenger" jumps up on screen, and a strange silhouette pops up on screen. You get into the match, and can't help but laugh... until he starts pulling some incredibly cheap moves and clears you off the stage before you have a chance to react. You could make his long range move be the light gun from the NES, have one of his charge melee attacks be where he hits you wearing The Power Glove, I mean seriously, there are hours upon hours of giggle-worthy moments you could have with this Nintendo Icon of cartoondom.

That would be awesome. I'd love to see Captain N. Viewtiful Joe would probably also make a great character to put on. Largely because it wouldn't take much to convert him. Perhaps Capcom could be talked into letting Mega Man and the guy from Bionic Commando. Maybe the guys from Contra.

Or perhaps Machoke. Ditto would be awesome as well. Kirby just copies one attack, Ditto copies them all.

I was Thinking of Megaman or the guys from Street Fight be representatives of Capcom.

anyway,
Knuckles from Sonic the Hedgehog.
Knuckles is the power house of the Sonic group. However, he lacks the extreme speed Sonic has, but is easier to recover with due to being able to glide. He and Sonic also have about the same weight.
B: Brick break; Similar to Cap. Falcon's Falcon punch, it pulls faster, but not as hard.
Up B: Rising Strike; Similar to Meta Knight's Up B, the rising hit is really a multihit with a finishing strike before gliding.
Side B: Spin dash; nothing different from Sonic's Down B.
Down B: Drill Dive; Knuckles will start digging into the ground, rendering him invincible for a time being. There's 50% chance that he will pop out with an item if they are available. He can also use this move in midair, diving into the ground below. If an opponent is on the ground pointblank to Knuckles, they end up pitfalled.

FINAL SMASH: Volcano Punch; Knuckles slams on the earth, causing it to erupt in flames, sending bomb-omb-like explosives around him. Unfortunately, the range is not very long, allowing opponents to dodge it completely.

How has this gone as long as it has without Isaac's being mentioned?

Isaac
from Golden Sun

Reason:
Because Golden Sun was amazing. And Isaac was possibly its coolest character.

Symbol:
Earth Djinn

B: Ragnarok/Odyssey Psynergy - fires a big sword made of fire
B Side: Move - Big hand shoves enemies away
B Up: Catch - Throws a hand a long way to pull Isaac to a ledge
B Down: Djinn - Activates a shield around Isaac

Final Smash: Judgement - Big explosion that does huge damage near Isaac and smaller amounts as you get farther away (sort of like Olimar's).

Also:

Andy:
from Advance Wars

Reason: Because Advance Wars also deserves a character of its own.

Symbol:
Wrench

B: Create an Infantry unit near Andy, or a Tank 1/10 of the time.
B Side: Attack: Send units to attack nearest enemy
B Up: Helicopter: Ride upwards in a Transport Helicopter, hitting enemies with the blades.
B Down: Create an Artillery Unit which remains where you place it. Next time you use this attack, the unit fires a salvo, then disappears.

Final Smash: Air Strike: Call in a flight of bombers to saturate the playing field.

Final Smash: Air Strike: Call in a flight of bombers to saturate the playing field.

Man, why did the gamecube versions remove all of this awesome. They made the characters' attacks so unstylish.

Radiant Dawn, which is far better than Path of Radiance, had some characters that need to be in.
Namely:
Sothe
Micaiah
Edward (A minor, technically disposable character. Still awesome)
Marcia (Pegasus knight. What more needs to be said?)
Black Knight (A good heavy sword wielding character.)

As an alternative to the Black Knight, Soren, who was also in Path of Radiance, but is now much more awesome. He is also a male magic wielding character, which SSB needs.

Trace
Metroid Prime: Hunters

Weight: Light
Air Speed: Fast
Land Speed: Fast

B: Imperialist: Trace takes aim and fires, heavy knockback but has startup and ending lag. It can be aimed slightly. Once used it can't be used again for 30 seconds.
B>: Triskelion Rush: Trace transforms into the Triskelion and charges in the specified direction, by pressing any attack button he will pounce forward quite a large distance. Can be used for recovery
B^: Kriken Leap: Trace leaps into the air with his sharp claws held out before him.
Bv: Cloaking: Trace becomes invisible and moves a short distance, reappearing and attacking.

Final Smash: Head Shot: Trace leaps off the top of the screen. The screen turns red and a reticule appears. You have three attempts at getting a headshot - you can zoom in by holding the grab button. A headshot is an instant kill, if anywhere else is it it's the same as the ordinary B move but with more damage.

Weavel
Metroid Prime: Hunters

Weight: Heavy
Air Speed: Medium
Land Speed: Medium

B: Battlehammer: Short range, arching, fast globs of energy that explode on contact. They do little damage but have decent knockback.
B>: Energy Scythe: Weavel jumps forward and slashes horizontally.
B^: Space Pirate Jet Pack: Weavel uses a Jet Pack given to him by the Space Pirates to recover in a similar way to ROB.
Bv: Halfturret: Weavel splits in to two - the lower half is stationary and fires weaker Battlehammer rounds at anything that gets close. The upper half is a lot faster and lighter than Weavel but it can only do three things:

A: Energy Scythe - faster than the Beam Sword
B: Energy Leap - A leaping attack
Bv: Reattach - Reattaches the two halves, can be used anywhere

Damage is taken if either half is attacked, however the lower half has constant super armour frames so it can't be knocked back. If the upper half is KO'd or the bottom half falls down off a pit of some sort, then the other half disappears and it counts as a KO.

Final Smash: Space Pirate Army: Weavel calls in his comrades, these include normal foot soldiers, the space pirates with jet packs and ones with shields. They act as Assist Trophies.

Sylux
Metroid Prime: Hunters

Weight: Medium
Air Speed: Fast
Land Speed: Medium

B: Shock Coil: Sylux fires a beam of energy that latches onto the target and deals 2% for every second that the beam is on them for. Sylux can't move during this and it is escapable.
B>: Coil Snatch: Sylux whips the Shock Coil at the target, pulls them towards him, and then throws them away. Deals 2% for every frame. Acts as a tether recovery.
B^: Bomb Jump: Sylux quickly transforms into the Lockjaw and holds a bomb detonates after a few seconds, throwing him upwards.
Bv: Lockjaw: Sylux transforms into Lockjaw and can lay down two bombs at a time. They explode after a few seconds. If they are placed near each other they form a trip-wire which will explode for double damage if someone walks into it.

Final Smash: Shock Coil v2: Sylux's Shock Coil becomes a lot more powerful. All he can do is fire the Coil, however it has double the range and does 4% damage every second and heals Sylux for 2% per second. Sylux can also move whilst doing this. Every now and then the Shock Coil will pulse and knocks whatever is being damaged away.

Kanden
Metroid Prime: Hunters

Weight: Medium
Air Speed: Slow
Land Speed: Slow

B: Volt Driver: Fast electrical shots. Can be charged up. The charged version slowly homes in on the target for 5 seconds, if it doesn't hit anything it explodes, if it hits something it stuns for a few 2 seconds.
B>: Stinglarva: Kanden transforms into the Stinglarva, this increases his speed exponentially.
B^: Sting Jump: Kanden quickly transforms into the Stinglarva, curls up in a ball, and fires one of its sting missiles at itself. This makes it jump extremely high vertically. Can also be used during B>.
Bv: Sting Missile: Kanden quickly transforms and lets a sting missile loose which quickly homes in on the target, climbing up walls if it has to. Can be used during B>.

Final Smash: Super Soldier: Kanden becomes invincible, all of his attacks do more damage and are basically unchanged. The only move that's changed, though, is the B which is always automatically fully charged and the balls of electricity last until it hits something, explodes in a larger radius and are faster.

Spire
Metroid Prime: Hunters

Weight: Heavy
Air Speed: Slow
Land Speed: Slow

B: Magmaul: Slow, arching balls of molten rock that stick to the enemy and explode after a few seconds. They can be passed onto another character by running into them. Spire is immune to the damage.
B>: Dialanche: Spire transforms into the Dialanche and starts rolling in the given direction, he does damage to whatever he hits. He can roll up walls.
B^: Dialanche Spin: Spire turns into the Dialanche and uses his spin attack to recover horizontally, much like Bowser and DK.
Bv: Magma Burst: Spire fires a Magmaul round at his feet causing an eruption of lava to spew out of the rock.

Final Smash: Magmeteor: Spire fires his Magmaul upwards off the screen ten times. The rounds eventually come crashing down at random intervals in random places as large meteors that explode when they hit something.

Noxus
Metroid Prime: Hunters

Weight: Medium
Air Speed: Medium
Land Speed: Medium

B: Judicator: Fires weak shots of ice, can be easily spammed. It can be charged to release three shots that ricochet off walls and if they hit another player, that player is frozen for a few seconds.
B>: Vhoscythe: Noxus turns into the Vhoscythe and starts spinning, like a top. Once fully charged, he'll spin in the specified direction.
B^: Vho-spin: Noxus turns into the Vhoscythe and starts spinning, this time with his arms outstretched. Similar to Metaknight's Mach Tornado.
Bv: Vho-drill: Noxus turns into the Vhoscythe and spins around on the spot continuously, like a drill, with his arms outstretched. If used in the air he'll shoot downwards - it can be used to spike in the first few frames.

Final Smash: Omega Cannon: Even though either of the seven Bounty Hunters can use this, Noxus has it to ensure no one else can use it. Noxus jumps into the top-centre of the screen and fires a huge ball of white energy down at the ground. When it reaches the ground, it detonates into a huge, yet slow, explosion that encompasses the whole screen on small stages and the majority of the stage on larger stages.

Because his music's already in there.

The Black Knight of Daein

Series: Fire Emblem 9 and 10
Why: Because his music's already in there. Why didn't you pay attention? (Also, he's one of my favorite villains...)

Weight: Super-Heavy (Between Bowser and Ganondorf)
Land Speed: Slow, but terrifying.
Air Speed: Approximately that of Ganondorf.

Wields Alondite. Attacks like a Luigi-fied Ike. But stronger and slower. If that was possible.

B: Luna: Charges a deadly strike, at full charge will shatter a shield as well.
> B: Sword Beam: Similar to the final part of Kirby's Final Cutter, a wave of energy travels along the ground. Is larger, slightly longer ranged, and stronger than Final Cutter's version.
^ B: Warp Powder: Teleports a short distance, approximately the same as Shiek.
v B: Nihil: Takes a pose. Any special attacks striking him during that time will be negated.

FINAL SMASH: Eclipse: Executes several strikes with increased power, speed, and reach, trapping the opponents (similar to Great Aether) and finishing with a massive blow that almost guarantees death.

Similar to Wario, has two skins: one of the Black Knight, with various tone changes similar to Ganondorf's clothing; and another of General Zelgius, with the tone changes altering the color of the armor and possibly hair. Zelgius-White may look similar to Tauroneo, and Zelgius-Blue might look like Gatrie.

Banjo and Kazooie
Series: Banjo-Kazooie
Symbol: a jiggy
Weight: somewhat heavy (since they're pretty fat in the latest game).
Reason: They're awsome and I think Nintendo shouldn't just pretend the old games never happened, and should hook up with Rare again somehow.

B: Breegull Blaster (Banjo uses Kazooie as an egg-gun and fires a barrage of random eggs, ranging from blue, fire, ice, battery and grenade)
Smash B: Beak Bayonet (Banjo uses Kazooie's beak and drives it forward)
Up B: Shock Spring Jump (Kazooie comes out of Banjo's pack to jump up. A Shock Spring Pad materializes under them. If they are in the air when they do this, the pad will shoot down and cause damage to anybody under it)
Down B: Beak Buster (Banjo jumps up and Kazooie comes out of the backpack and slams them both down beak first. If the button is held down, it will become Bill Drill which causes them to spin around and cause a lot more damage, but will not throw the enemy.
Final Smash: Air Plane (Banjo jumps into a large air plane either like in Banjo-Pilot or like the kind you can build in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. They fly up high and shoot grenade eggs down at the other character)

Izuna
Series: Izuna
Symbol: A claw
Reason: I don't know, I just liked the games I guess.
Weight: Pretty light

B: Reka Talisman (Weak fire will surround Izuna)
Smash B: Dragon Claw (Izuna will strike forward with a Dragon Claw which will cause a lot of damage or shoot a fire ball to do minor damage)
Up B: Light Pill (Izuna will take a Light Pill and will float, causing her to fly for a short time. She is easier to knock away in this state untill it wears off, however)
Down B: Caltrops (Izuna will set these spike on the ground to hurt anybody who steps on them. They will go away after somebody steps on them once.)
Final Smash: Tag Attack (Izuna will grab one of her teamates (my vote is Mitsumono) and will attack with him or her to cause various kinds of ways for the enemy to take damage (In the case I have give with Mitsumono, she will spin him around and throw him comically at the other characters).

Fawful
Series: Mario And Luigi
Symbol: Probably a mushroom
Weight: Pretty light I would think
Reason: "I HAVE FURY!" (and because I heard he's going to be the main antagonist of the new upcoming Mario And Luigi game)

B: Blasts of your Mustardy Doom! (A burst of energy from Fawful's headgear shoots out forward)
Smash B: Fury Dance (Fawful dances around in a similar manner to when the babies see him in Partners in Time. This causes damage to anybody who touches him)
Up B: Headgear Jetpack (The jetpack on his headgear lifts him up untill it runs out of fuel)
Down B: What a wasting! (Fawful will get into a pod that resembles his own head, which spins around and cuases damage untill it overheats and explodes and Fawful jumps out of it)
Final Smash: Brainwashed Slaves (Some theorize, based on screenshots of the upcoming Mario and Luigi game, that Fawful will brainwash many of the citizens of Mushroom Kingdom which he uses to attack in a similar manner to King Dedede's final smash.)

Boshi
Series: Super Mario
Symbol: Yoshi Egg
Reason: Because Yoshi needs a friend in this game! Mario's got Luigi, Donkey Kong's got Diddy, etc.
Weight: Lighter the Yoshi, he is basically a faster, more badass version of Yoshi
Moveset: Same as Yoshis, but faster

Glover
Series: Glover
Symbol: Rubber Ball
Reason: I would like to see what his relationship with Master Hand would be in the story mode. They are both animate gloves.
Weight: Normal, I guess.

B: Point To The Ball (basically like Olimar's Pluck Pikmin moves, but only one ball is materialized on the field at the same time, like Wario's Bike move)
Smash B: Throw Ball (he throws the ball forward)
Up B: Bounce The Ball (he throws the ball down, which bouces up and brings him up. If he uses it over a pit, the ball takes longer to bounce back up but carries him higher upward)
Down B: Transorm The Ball (He transforms the rubber ball into a bowling ball, a marble, and a crystal. Each of which are different speeds and do different amounts of damage when used to attack (bowling ball is slower but does more damge, marble is faster but does less damage, etc.))
Fianl Smash: Globe (The rubber ball is tranformed into a giant globe which takes up a lot of the field. Glover and push it around and push others off the stage)

If I think of any others, I'll post them.

Paper Mario
Paper Mario

Weight: Super light
Speed: Fast
Air speed: Slow

Up B: Jumps up a bit and turns into a paper airplane.
Down B: Puts down a fire flower which shoots fire balls forward and diagonally.
Smash B: Takes out a hammer and twists. The longer Paper Mario twists, the farther the foes fly.
Normal B: Holds hands over head, doesn't take damage when struck, but close range attacker does.

Final Smash: Star Beam/ Peach Beam
1/3 of the time it's a Peach Beam.
For Star Beam, Paper Mario is surrounded by the seven star people from Paper Mario one. A yellow beam is shot from the skies and hits all opponents. For the Peach Beam, Paper Peach and Twink appear next to Mario, and the beam shot is pink.

Star Beam: Positive effects on enemies, such as invincibility, that are caused by items, are nullified and enemies receive more damage from Paper Mario's attacks.

Peach Beam: As above, except that enemies recieve damage when hit by the beams as well.

Ya know, I half expected to get flamed for doing something that's already been done. Thanks:smallsmile:
And now for...
Hector from Fire Emblem 6-7
Why: He's a bit like Ike except carries an axe instead of a sword.

Weight: Heavy (a little more than Ike, due to armor)
Land Speed: Slow
Air Speed: like that of Bowser
He uses various axes from the games for his specials and standards
B: Devil Axe; Like most of the other FE character's B, fully charged, it can break a shield. However, instead of hurting at max, there's a chance (about 20%) that it will hurt Hector instead.
Side B: Hand Axe/Tomahawk; Like Toon Link's Boomerang, the angle can be changed, but the range is lower.
Down B: Counter; Higher power but shorter timeframe than the other's.
Up B: Great Cut; a move like King Dedede's but doesn't put foes down and can only attack the side he's facing. More powerful.

FINAL SMASH: Armads; Hector's axe grows HUGE! Spins it above his head for a little bit before charging like Marth's FS. Any one caught in the attack will be OHKO.

Costume: Black (standard), bright blue, red, yellow, green (looks like an enemy general for red and from link arena), white.

I agree that a Golden Sun character should be included. But I'm not sure that's the best way. I'd probably do this:
Neutral B: Ragnarok- An large sword falls from the heavens at a 80 degree angle, landing just outside of Isaac's melee attack reach (leaving an intentional opening between the two). Has a 1.5 second delay. can damage aerial opponents. Good damage, low knockback.
Side B: Flint- Unleashes the Djinn Flint with a jumping attack. Medium Damage, medium knockback. Creates a golden orb that flies around Isaac for 2 seconds
Up B:Gaia- The power of the Earth wells from below Isaac. In the Air this acts as a triple jump. Low damage, high knocback.
Down B: Granite- Unleashes the Djinn Granite to protect Isaac. Halves all damage and knockback for 3 seconds. Takes 1 second before activating. Creates a golden orb that flies around Isaac that lasts for 2 seconds.

Final Smash: Judgement- As the games summon animation, but instead shooting the blast into the middle of the battlefield. Touching the orb itself deals massive damage and throws you off screen. If you have less than 100% damage, it won't throw you far enough to instakill you. When the blast hit's ground level it bursts dealing damage and knockback to everything on screen, based on the distance from ground zero. If you have unleashed Flint less than 2 seconds from launching this attack, damage is doubled. If you have unleashed Granite less than 2 seconds from launching this attack, knockback is increased by 50%.

How about his up A to something that doesn't get interupted constantly. Repeatedly. By even the Falcon Punch.

Miko Miyazaki

Weight: Mid-to-Heavy
Speed: Fast
Air speed: Fast

Up B: Flip-kick.
Down B: Heals herself (or an ally, in team mode).
Side B: Throws a tanglefoot bag.
Normal B: Pulls out a demon roach and lights someone on fire? I dunno.

Taunt 1: Detect Evil!
Taunt 2: Little sword-whirling demonstration and promise to punish you for your sins.
Taunt 3: Look of confusion.

Final Smash: Wrath of the Twelve Gods, who appear in the sky and blast an opponent to hell. Until the match is over, they appear greyed out.

Hitting A repeatedly gives you her "slash-slash-slash-slash-slash!" attack; her smash attacks are all Smite Evil.

(This seems really fitting, I don't know why. Maybe it's because I'm an unabashed Miko fanboy who occasionally feels like her murder of Lord Shojo was character derailment.)

Up B: Fly; Like Icarus Wings and Rob's Booster, Tails can fly for a period of time
Side B: Spindash; Do I really need to tell you?
Down B: Tornado Tail; Tails will spin repeatedly in a fashion similar to Mario and Luigi. However, he can hold it longer and it does slightly less damage

Final Smash: Summon the Cyclone; Tails flies of and comes back with the new and improved Cyclone Mech.
A: Fire vulcan cannon, spamable.
B: Fire Energy Missle; Locks on to an opponent and makes explosions when it hits.
Jump; The mech will hover similar to the landmaster.

I know that x-Box has Rare these days, but I'd love to see Conker.

I suppose in the spirit of awesome game characters from the NES. I'd enjoy seeing Thomas from the original Kung Fu or maybe Ryu from Ninja Gaiden.

Rundas from Metroid Prime Three would also be awesome, as would the original small Ridley. Although the main thing is that we need to see Soren. So far from fire emblem everyone we have seen is an unmounted swordsman, to those who don't know about the game it could be taken as a sword-fighting sidescroller, due to everyone being a swordsman in what we see. Even in the trophies, we have the black knight, and Elincia, who does at least have a mount.

as would the original small Ridley.

I remember talking to a friend about that. He told be that Ridley was supposed to be in the game, and we were discussing possible character renditions. it would be very interesting to see an 8-bit character among...well...yeah.

Ridley

8-bit 2-dimensional character who moves Game-and-watch-esque. Has hundreds of 8 bit animation frames.
Medium weight, fast but light attacks.

B: Fireball (similar to marios)
B>: Extend hand while holding a fireball (I AM CERTAIN that 8-bit ridley released fireballs from his hands)
BV: Stomp. (small aoe around ridley)
B^: Wings

A: one-two very quick punches
Smash A: Claw swipe
Run A: Head Butt
AV: spinning tailwhip
Smash AV: Power Kick.
A^: Hold fireball upwards

Final Smash: Transforms into regular ridley. Becomes huge, invincible, all moves become augmented, very similar to Bowser's Giga Bowser.

Taunt 1: Juggles fireballs
Taunt 2: Salutes
Taunt 3: Performs original Samus taunt from SSBM complete with correct sound.

Phoenix Wright from "Phoenix Wright: Attorney at Law"
Instead of a character, I think Phoenix should be an assist trophy.

A desk rises in the foreground from the bottom of the screen, and Phoenix Rises up and slams both hands on the desk, launching anyone not on the ground. Then, he swings his right arm forward into his signature pose, striking anyone on a diagonal path to the sound of the home-run bat.

My take on Paper Mario, from N64:
Paper Mario

Series: Paper Mario (N64)
Symbol: Mushroom
Weight: Light
Speed: Moderate
Air speed: Slow

B: Kooper goes flying out in the direction your facing. Moderate damage/far hitting.
Smash B: Smacks nearby enemy with Watt, dealing massive damage.
Up B: Set Bombette where your standing. after 3 seconds everyone in the area takes massive damage, including PM.
Down B: Boards Lakilester, speed massively increases.
Final Smash: One of the following occur:

Eldstar: PM heals 10 damage and gains invincibility.
Mamar: All enemies fall asleep for 15 seconds. Getting hit wakes up asleep character.
Skolar: All opponents take 50 percent.
Muskular: All opponents deal half damage and their attacks hit you half as far.
Misstar: Heals you to 0 percent.
Klevar: Immobilizes enemies for 10 second. Characters remain immobilized if hit.
Kalmar: Makes all nearby opponents go flying.
Peach Beam: All enemies lose any buffs that they have.
Team Attack: All of Mario helpers fly around the screen, virtually destroying everyone.
Guard: Uses Lady Bow.

A new item idea:

Wii Remote
A projectile weapon that has a really long range.
It does no damage. However, if it hits a shield that shield is broken instantly.

Miyamoto-sama

Series: REALITY
Style: Awesomesauce. Wields Wiimote & Nunchuck.

B: Wii Music. Plays a part of Totaka's Song (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Totaka%27s_Song#Totaka.27s_Song).
^B: Spin Attack. Like Link's.
v B: Wii Fit. Strikes a pose, entering a Counter-type phase.
> B: Fireball. As Mario's.

FINAL SMASH: Chabudai Gaeshi. (The "Miyamoto Test"/"Upending the tea table") Unleashes a massive shockwave, capable of OHKO.

This...this is exactly what I'm talking about! Thanks Mando Knight! You rock! :smallcool:

:smallannoyed:... A Sonic who doesn't suck... Hmmm... Well people, I don't know why, but Sonic doesn't seem to suck to me. Also people, try to read the thread before posting, and I mean the whole thread.

E.G.G.M.A.N. (It's what I am...)From Sonic the Hedgehog
Symbol; the Eggman empire logo
Rather than fight man to man like everyon else, Eggman choose to fight in his modified personal mech that looks similar to the one seen in SA2;B. He's among the heaviest characters, and decent power to match. However, in a race, he's no match against anyone else.

B: Vulcan Cannon; Spammable projectile that does low damage.
Side B: Super Missile; Fires a slow missile that homes in on the closest opponent, a bit like Samus's side B.
Up B: Hover; Apparently the world of Smash Bros has less gravity than it does in Sonic's world, as Eggman's hover attachment can act like Rob's Up B.
Down B: Surprise Punch; With a shout (Hor-ray!) the punching glove pops out of his mech, doing decent damage and knockback.

Final Smash: Space Colony ARK's Eclipse cannon; Eggman has some of the chaos emeralds! Eggman flies off as a targeting cursor appears. Pressing any button will fire the Ark's Eclipse cannon. The beam is large, and is capable of doing a OHKO.

Taunts:
1; "You're no match for Me!"
2; An explosion occurs on Eggman's mech, covering his face in black soot.
3; Shouts "YOUR GOING TO PAY FOR THIS!!!"

Costumes: Like Wario, (and Mando's Black Knight) Eggman has Alternate costumes. The Default for Eggman is the modern one first seen in Sonic Adventure. However, His alternate costume is one based off of the Pre-Adventure costume from his days when he was known as Dr. Robotnik.

See people? Read the thread.
of course, that doesn't mean that I have my own interpretation of Paper Mario.

Weight: Light
Speed (land and air):medium.
My version of Paper Mario is from his first game.
Up B: Parakarry; Floats a little but like Pit's and Rob's Up B. Parakarry (along with Goombario and Bow) that are not affected by Partner change.
Side B: Dizzy Spin; Mario spins forward, causing enemies that are hit to acquire the dizzy effect (also known as the Shield Break/Deku Nut effect). There's a chance that when he uses this attack, that the distance will be longer than normal and will be indicated by a white spiral, rather than the normal purple one.
Down B: Change partner; Changes Mario's current partner. For effects of partners, see the B attack.
B: Use Partner; The reason why I put this near the bottom is that Mario has lots of Partners.
Kooper; Sends out his shell, can bring back items like in PM.
Bombette; Walks a little be for stopping and exploding, can be set off earlier by pressing B again.
Watt; Mario holds her (Him?) and does an attack that is faster but less powerful than a smash attack.
If Kirby swallows Paper Mario, He will use a random partner like he does for Olimar.

Final Smash: Peach Beam; With all seven Stars and Twink surround Mario, and unleash a beam that does massive damage. Also removes buffs.
Taunts: Goombario comments on the fighters in a similar fashion to Snake's secret taunts.

Garet

Series: Golden Sun
Symbol:Mars Djinn
Weight: Mid-heavy
Speed:Moderate-slow
Air speedSlow
Garet wields the Demon Axe the most powerful weapon of that type in the first game. This gives him high damage and knock back with his attack, but is slow.

Neutral B: Poison cloud- Garet's Axe lets out a howl, releasing a slow moving poison cloud to drift in the direction he's facing. This cloud deals 3% damage to everyone in the cloud every second.
Side B: Heat Wave- Garet drops his axe to release a blast fiery energy down field. The fire blast has no knock back, and moderate damage, however the axe deals a third more knock back and damage than Garet's side smash.
Up B: Pyroclasm- A series of fiery blasts well up underneath Garet, dealing more moderate-high damage and knock back. If Garet is airborn, this move acts as a platform, allowing him to double jump.
Down B: Torch- Unleashes the Djinn Torch to slam into an opponent, dealing high damage with little knockback. Enemies hit by this attack take anywhere from 15 to 25% more damage for 5 seconds. This attack can't be used for 2 seconds after it's last use.

Final Smash: Meteor 4 mars djinn drag a rock from space down on the battlefield, the collision dealing massive damage to everyone on the screen. Getting caught between the rock and the ground will throw you off stage.

Ivan

Series: Golden Sun
Symbol: Jupiter Djinn
Weight: Light
Speed: Fast
Air speed Fast

Ivan is the speed demon and caster of Isaac's group. He is lightly armored, but Jupiter's power more than makes up for it. However unleashing Djinn lower his defenseive and offensive capability. Some important things to note though: Ivan's up B attack does not function as a triple jump while airborne, Ivan's Jupiter powers allow him to naturally triple jump. Also consecutive repetitions of Ivan's Neutral A and Side Smash (up to six) deal increased damage and knock back.

Neutral B: Kite- Unleashing this djinn creates a duplicate Ivan who will mimic your commands (like Ice climbers) for 5 seconds. The duplicate's attacks will always be slightly off of yours. Ivan deals 10% less damage and knock back, while receiving 10% more damage for 8 seconds after unleashing Kite.
Side B Gust- Ivan performs a jumping slash that deals minor damage but very high knock back. Like Kite, Ivan loses 10% damage and knock back and takes 10% more damage for 8 seconds after unleashing this Djinn
Down B Tornado- Ivan uses Psyenergy to spawn whirlwinds, dealing low damage and knock back, but can capture and throw aerial opponents.
Up B: Spark Plasma- Ivan's strongest lightning move. Deals high damage and Knock back to all enemies within a small area.

Final Smash: Atalanta* Ivan calls Atalanta to calls Atalanta to pelt the field with her arrows, similar to Ness' final smash, just at a 70 degree angle. Getting hit with the arrows deals moderate damage and knockback.

*While Thor is the 4 Djinn jupiter summon I like Atalanta's animation more, and think it would be more suitable for a final smash.

I've also got move sets for Abra (Pokémon), Isaac (Golden Sun), Mega Man (Mega Man), Richter Belmont (Castlevania) and Ridley (Metroid). I'll post those as well if you want, but I though this post was big enough already. :P

Right so, post general Ideas on a fighter that you would like to see in the next SSB. The only restriction that I can think of is no characters that haven't appeared on a nintendo system. So Naruto is okay, but no Master Chief.

I don't see any character that I listed that does not appear on a nintendo system, so I am confused as to why you said anything to the contrary :smallconfused:

Both X and Zero were on the Super Nintendo before they were on any other system.

I was talking about how people post the same characters.

I'm surprised that no one did this before on this thread...
NARUTO UZUMAKI!
How I would make Naruto turned out to be a Luigified Sothe, lighter and faster but less powerful.
B: Kunai knife; Same as Sothe and Sheik.
Side B: Rasengan Jutsu; Charges forward with a ball of chakra, does the most damage at the end. Acts a bit like Fox Illusion as well.
Down B: Shadow Clone Jutsu; Acts like Counter, but Naruto attacks from the air as his Shadow clone turns into a cloud of smoke.
Up B: Vanish; Acts a bit like a combination of Sothe's and Sheik's with Sonic's. Drops a log were Naruto was, doing damage on anyone who is hit by it.

Final Smash! Nine Tail Fox within; Naruto gains an red aura around him that forms four tails at the end. Increase in speed, attack and can't be damaged or thrown.

I'm a little surprised nobody's suggested this one yet:

King K. Rool
Series: Donkey Kong
Symbol: DK
Reason: Because he's another major villain of a series! He can fit into the main villain/maighty glacier group with Bowser, Ganondorf and Dedede. Plus, then in the next game we will have THREE greedy kings in the first mission of that mode, as opposed to Melee's one and Brawl's two. Then, the number of greedy kings is increased every single game!
Weight: Heavy, like Bowser, Ganondorf and Dedede

Normal B: Kremling Kommand (K. Rool will point forward and a kremlin will run forward infront of him in a straight line OR jumping up and down slowly in a similar manner to the Donkey Kong Country games. The kremlings do minor damage to those who touch them, and will die if touched and will run off the ledge)
Side B: Blunderbuss (K. Rool will use his gun to shoot kannonballs, an extremely slow but powerful weapon)
Up B: Rocker Barrel Vehicle (K. Rool gets in his vehicle from Donkey Kong Barrel Blast and flies upward for a short bit, does a claw attack, then falls down)
Down B: Invisability (K. Rool, except for his clothes, turn invisable for a short time. Although he can still be seen due to his clothes, he cannot be hurt in this state until it wears off.)

Final Smash: Kannonball Rain (K. Rool jumps up and down and a few distant pirate ships blast the level with huge kannonballs. Similar to Ness and Lucus' PK Storm, but much faster and tougher that shoot in predictable and avoidable patterns)

Taunt 1: K. Rool with fall down and fake defeat, and then get back up.

Grovle
Series: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (he is the one from the second game of that Pokemon genre)
Symbol: Time Gear (because there are no pokeballs in Mystery Dungeon)
Reason: I thought Grovle was really cool in the second Mystery Dungeon game and if Mewtwo is bound to be replaced I think Grovle should replace him instead of Lucario.
Weight: Medium-Light. He's pretty fast.

Normal B: Absorb (Replenishes his own damage while giving damage to those in front of him)
Side B: Quick Attack (Jumps out far forward and strike)
Up B: Razor Leaf (Leaves will spin around him really fast and slash all around him, which will also raise him like Bowser's Up Spicial Move)
Down B: Dig (Grovle will dig underground, wait for a second, then jump up from the ground and uppercut anybody close enough. This move does a lot of damage, but for thin platforms Grovle falls right through when he tries to do the move and fails)

Mr. L
Series: Paper Mario
Symbol: Mushroom
Reason: I thought this guy was quite cool
Weight: Same as Luigi, normal

He's basically a Luigi clone with a few huge differences

Normal B: Green Fireball (Same as Luigi's move, but the flame is slightly darker. That's the only difference)
Side B: Green Missile (Same as Luigi's Move)
Up B: High Jump (Mr. L will build up power and shrink, then will jump to extremely high hights much higher then that of the Super Jump Punch. If Mr. L hits anything, he'll get flattened and take damage)
Down B: Shroom Shake Mr. L will pull out a shroom shake and begin to drink. If undisturbed, he should heal a chuck of his own damage

Final Smash: Brobot L-type (Mr. L will jump inside his giant mecha and the player will be able to control it. It can throw it's fists or suck to eat other characters, causing major damage, or eat items. It can also jump and fall down on top of other characters)

Also, I request somebody make a move set for Lara Croft of Tomb Raider. I cant think of possible moves, and I think she would make a good third-party addition of to the next Super Smash Bros. because I'd personally love to kick the snoz out of her with Wario )

Really? I pulled off a nice combo with his new side move that I will post now.
Use side B on the ground, next, hold down and attack. Then you can flick the c stick side ways to execute a powerful combo.
I fact, I might actually like this new Ganondorf.

Yeah, I've used that combo, or something similar as well. But the problem is he is only on his high game in limited situations. his maneuverability and size make him a giant punching bag to the point that the most efficient use of him is someone who can do a shield wall. The problem is most other characters can do this better and easier.

They essentially slowed him down, without any increase in overall power (except for that combo and his little turn at the end of his up B, oh wall grabbing you've been so useful)
They even took away his priority of his earlier attacks, in melee his attacks had high priority, such as his falcon kick (yeah dont know the name) which could stop anything. Now he has mid-priority except for the side B lunge grab.

That "combo*" doesn't actually work on everyone. For some it hits, for others it only hits if they attempt a get-up attack, for the rest they can simply roll away.

*Very few characters can combo (read: very little hit-stun)

How about:

Neku Sakuraba

Series: The World Ends With You
Symbol: The PLayer Pin (http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/twewy/images/a/ab/Pin_000.png)
Reason: Because TWEWY is an awesome game. ´Nuff said.
Weight: Medium-light

Normal B: Force Rounds. Neku fires small balls of energy strait forward. Low damage, low knockback, but high fire rate.
Side B: Lance Lunge. Neku dashes forward making a single strike. Essentially faster, weaker version of Falcon Punch with some forward movement.
Up B: Grave Marker. Neku teleports forwards and up and makes a downward strike.
Down B: Flame Core. Neku concentrates for a second and creates a ball of fire that moves around the screen, damaging and bouncing off other characters and the enviroment.

Final Smash: Fusion Attack. Just like in the game, damages everything on-screen. Randomly executed with either Shiki, Beat or Joshua.

The Final Smash is probably overpowered, but it would have to be something along those lines...

The Phantom Ganon I made is mainly to make up for current Ganondorf's lack of Ganondorfness. Also, I made a Skull Kid suggestion on the last page. In addition, Geno, a list with links in the first post would help, I started making one before, you can use that as a base.

Um... I already did that... on the first page.

I was aware of that. I was posting my interpretation. I always thought PM was a lot more partner focused. I apologized if it seemed like I ripped off your idea. I had the intension of posting it since I read the OP, since Paper Mario is my favorite game.

This looks good... but how about this?

Minda (on Wolf Link)
Why; Because people expected to see wolf Link in Brawl.

Moves, Basically the same as above but;
A has Link bite and claw
Side B Wolf Link latches on opponent like Diddy Kong.

Final Smash is where Midna turns into the spider of doom with Wolf Link teleported out of the way.

Crono
Game: Chrono Trigger
Emblem: That C that looks like half a clock used in the title

B: Lightning - Like Pikachu's but weaker and faster
Smash B: Wind Slash - Slashes a wind gust at opponent for small damage/knockback, those hit by the slash causing the wind gust take slightly more damage and knockback, gust continues going even if it hits someone
Up B: Cleave - Like Dedede's jump, except the attack at the end only hits an enemy in front of you, and if ended midair, you still slash
Down B: Cyclone - similar to the mario/luigi tornado/cyclone, but a bit longer in duration and wider
Final Smash: Luminaire - Lifted slightly into the air while glowing, then a large explosion of a light centered on him does large amounts of damage and knockback to those in blast radius

Taunts: Victory pose, Fighting pose, and... Okay, I can't think of a third taunt.

Okay, my turn.

Magus from Chrono Trigger

A Moves: Attacks with his scythe (Elaboration forthcoming)

B Moves:

Neutral B: Dark Bomb: Releases a small, black orb similar to Zelda's Din's Fire. Upon hitting the B button again, it expands, dealing repeated damage to any opponent caught in the blast radius. The colors in the blast radius are inverted similar to Luigi's Negative Dimension.

Left/Right B: Lightning: Unleashes a blast of electricity from his hand, affecting a cone-shaped area out to roughly 5 feet in front of him. Opponents caught in its range take damage and are knocked back. Magus is vulnerable after this attack, so as to prevent spamming.

Up B: Rising Reaper: Magus rises into the air, spinning his scythe above his head like a helicopter blade.

Down B: Black Hole: Magus makes several arcane gestures with his hands and creates a circular area of complete darkness around himself. All non-static objects are drawn towards this darkness. Opponents can slow their movement towards it by attempting to move away from it. Enemies or items caught in the black hole itself are hit by a powerful scythe attack from Magus at the end of the move, causing decent damage and good knockback.

Final Smash: Dark Matter: Magus draws upon the emptiness of the void and sends his target to his doom. A cursor appears on screen and when the B button is hit again, a triangle-shaped section of the stage falls away where the cursor was to reveal the void and is then sealed back up with a bright flash of light. Any enemy caught in the void when it appears takes massive damage and is sent flying as if hit by a Home-Run bat.

Taunts:

Up: Spins his scythe around while making an evil chuckle
Horizontal: Surges with dark power
Down: Looks up and says "The Black Wind is blowing."

Paper Mario is your favorite game, too? It was the first game I actually had the patience to finish.

Anyway. . .

Black Mage
game: FF1 remake on the ds.

Weight: light

A attacks: Various magicky looking attacks.

B: Focus- damage done by special effects increases for a while
Smash B: Lighting bolt shoots out from his hands.
Down B: Ground underneath nearby enemies captures them for a second or two.
Up B: BM ignites, flies up leaving a trail of flame, and enemies hit by the trail or BM take damage.

Final Smash: Fireball
BM shoots out a small ball of fire that goes a few feet (in game), and expands, almost automattically killing what it touches.

Does it count if they're going to be on a Nintendo console at some point in the future? If so:

Quote* from the freeware/Wiiware game Cave Story (http://www.cavestory.org/)

Emblem would be either the Polar Star's weapon icon (with the star), or a silhouette of the island.

Middling-light weight, average speed.

Standard moves would mostly involve the Blade, albeit in a more clumsy and amateurish fashion than the other swordsmen (he's more used to throwing it). I can't be bothered to think up attacks for each button combination.

Specials (Note: all weapons are at Lv.1 unless otherwise stated)
(B) Polar Star: Fires shots from his trusty starting weapon. Firing rate would be somewhere between those of Fox and Falco's blasters, as would damage. No hitstun.
(>B) Missile Launcher: Quote busts out the big guns. Almost identical to Samus' Missiles, except faster, and without homing capability. Tilting the control stick all the way yields a Lv.2 missile, half as fast and twice as strong.
(^B) Booster v0.8: Booster's pride and joy. As the name implies, it boosts you upwards like a jetpack. Pretty much acts as a third jump.
(vB) Explosive: One of Malco's bombs. Small, but packs quite a punch. First use sets the explosive, second use detonates it remotely. Can be picked up and thrown, at the player's own risk. Any kind of spark will set it off.

Final Smash
Option 1
Spur: Quote's Polar Star gets upgraded to the ultimate weapon, the Spur. Camera zooms in, and the Spur's energy bar is shown charging in the upper left corner of the screen. Once it reaches MAX, Quote fires a deadly beam of intense, bluish-white light, about a foot in diameter. Foes hit by it take damage until the beam ends, at which point they are sent flying. Usually a One-Hit KO. Kind of like Samus' Zero Laser, except smaller, more focused, and more... instantaneous (like the Light Arrow).

Option 2
Max Energy: A huge stream of yellow energy pieces falls onto Quote. He is granted temporary invulnerability, similar to when he takes damage in Cave Story, and all his weaponry gets maxed out to Level 3. Polar Star does more damage, no limit on firing speed, and shots are wider and have hitstun; missiles are more powerful and fire in spread bursts of three; attacks with the Blade cause King's soul to appear and do lingering damage to the opponent; the Booster v0.8 becomes the Booster v2.0, allowing fast aerial movement in any of the four cardinal directions. Lasts as long as an average Final Smash transformation. When it ends, a black wind blows through Quote, returning his equipment to Level 1.

*Using his name is kind of a spoiler, since it isn't revealed until late in the game, and only if you completed certain events in the story. Of course, Brawl didn't seem to have an issue spoiling certain games in their trophies... *cough*Mother 3*cough*

And, just for fun...

Assist Trophies
Curly Brace
Quote's friend and counterpart. She'd deliver some kind of one-liner when she appears, and proceed to shoot anyone in sight with her Machine Gun. Her behavior would be similar to how she fights in the Labyrinth with Quote. Lots of running and jumping.

Balrog
Is he a robot? A toaster? A lunchbox, perhaps? In any case, he'd appear with his classic "HUZZAH!", leap through the top of the screen, and come crashing down, shaking the screen and burying anyone caught underneath. He'd then proceed to run around the stage, grabbing anyone in his path and beating them senseless.

Absolutely loved Paper Mario. And Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Although my younger siblings own both The Thousand Year Door and Super Paper Mario, I haven't played those all the way through yet... (got about halfway through TTYD...)

...Maybe if I run into a good deal of money that I'm not earmarking for something else I'll download Paper Mario from the VC...
