Just gonna try to get this damn thing posted. :smallsigh:

'til I update the lousy thing, link to previous index. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100119)

A thread for posting pictures of yourself, and video/voice recordings.

Index Information - PLEASE READ!

Info on sending me your pictures if you want to be included in the index.

Format(s) for sending me your links.
You might think it's a pain that you have to forum-tag your own pictures, but that itself is a large, annoying part of going the index myself... tagging a hundred urls. Dx

Your full set of links should look like this: Your forum name (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/) 1 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/) 2 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/) 3 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/) etc...

With no parse like this : Your forum name (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/) 1 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/) 2 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/) 3 (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/)

Please...

Number and forum-tag each picture accordingly.
Put tags around the tagged urls so they don't hyperlink.
Do not include photos which are not of yourself unless they are relevant to the Playground.
Have no more than 20 pictures, to keep things neat.

If you wish for a single or set of photos to be deleted, PM the pic numbers and I'll remove them for you.

If you are removing pics aswell as adding new ones, make sure the urls of the new pictures are correctly numbered. So if you have 5 pictures and wish for two of them to be removed while having three new ones added, make sure the new ones are labled 4, 5, 6, etc.

If you are only adding new pictures, then you only need to give me their links and not the already existing set + the new.

I don't smile for photos. It reminds me how much I hate the way in which I smile. I don't do it. I really do love my gorgeous red hair. Honestly.
And it's honestly much more red than it looks in that photo.

And this is more recently, when she brought him home for me to catsit:

http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o80/Fdruid/Cholitodegrande.jpg

There's no better way to get a cat's attention to take a pic than snapping your fingers or making some weird sound, to take a picture of a cat looking at the camera instead of, you know, their usual.

Unfortunately the photographer realised that he just doesn't look nice enough to have his picture taken, so he won't post more pictures of him unless there's major improvements in terms of looks or self-image. Trust me, is for better.

Navy. All branches have a form of "Dress Blues", but they're pretty easy to tell apart. I couldn't tell you for the life of me the differance etween Army and Air Force, though.

Those that I'm in are "Working blues", AKA "Johnny Cashes".

Eh, I'd still say she's got some more blossoming to do before she truly reaches her apex of hawtness though, since I can still see some not quite vestigial cuteness about her. Don't put too much pressure on the girl, now.

Sorry, but you're still in that pubescent state of activating protective-nurturing instincts as well as the more typical male reaction. :smalltongue: Is fun while it lasts though, except for when it's pure hormonal/social torture.

Indeed. My ex is 5'11" and she had trouble finding both dresses and pants that fit her thinness and length of leg. One of the hard things is that increases in size are more for reasons of... fat on the frame than increase in frame size.

It's the, eye of the tiger,

And the last lone survivor,
Stalks his prey in the night,
And he's watching us all with the eye,

Well, last night in chat Mauve told us she had made a little chocolate cake in a mug following this recipe.

http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Cake-in-a-Mug

It looked really simple and a great idea for those of us who like me aren't versed in the culinary arts. Mainly it looked fun and harmless. So I decided to make one.

In this post I'll show you the process, along with some pointers as to what happened at each stage.

1. Ingredients neatly laid out

http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o80/Fdruid/Misc/100_1268.jpg
The egg is not there. I forgot to chop the walnuts and add them to the mix :s

2. The mix

http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o80/Fdruid/Misc/100_1269.jpg
-The mix had everything in there but felt a little too watery. I added one more tablespoon flour because of this. -Everything else was like in the recipe, even thought it looked like too much it wasn't.

3. The mug

http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o80/Fdruid/Misc/100_1270.jpg
-The mug is not very tall. Just the usual one I have coffee and tea in. It's made of plastic too. I put the image for reference.
-The mix filled one third to half of it. It looked too much at first, I was expecting it to be less and the raise a lot. But it didn't.

4. The cooking

http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o80/Fdruid/Misc/100_1272.jpg
-I followed the recipe exactly so put it in the microwave for 3 minutes, with some paper napkins on the bottom in case it spilled or exploded or otherwise mutated :p It didn't.

5. After cooking

http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o80/Fdruid/Misc/100_1275.jpg
-I watched it cook and about halfway a delicious smell started coming out of the oven.
-Thanks to the magic of microwaves, it started to rise and soon I could have a peek at a nice chocolatey dome-like bun raising. But it didn't raise a lot even when done. Half to 2 thirds of the cup I'd say.
-Confused by this, and fearing undercooking, I put it in 30 more seconds. This was maybe a mistake.

6. Taking it out

http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o80/Fdruid/Misc/100_1278.jpg
-It didn't improve a lot and looked ok so I took it out.
-I used a fork to take it out and to my surprise it came out in a piece, easily and without any traces of wet batter in the bottom.

7. It's done! ^^

http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o80/Fdruid/Misc/100_1280.jpg
-This is the part where I'm proud and happy ^^
-It came out muffin-sized but with a nice texture and smell.

8. Ready to eat

http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o80/Fdruid/Misc/100_1286.jpg
-I sliced it a bit to photograph it and see how it was on the inside. It had a nice texture to it, though when cutting it I noticed it wasn't all that spongy. More like a brownie would be.
-I tasted it and it was pretty good, it wasn't that hard, though maybe the extra flour and extra waving did do that.

Well, that's how it came and it was loads of fun. I ate half of it because I wasn't really hungry at the moment. But I'll finish it soon ^^ It's a good size for a single person. I added some jam, because I like the contrast with the chocolate taste, but I thought of adding nutella or dulce de leche to it (those are way too sweet for me often).

I invite everyone to make theirs and post their pics. This was fun ^^

Oh, awesome!!! Really tall too, looks delicious. Congratulations!

I'll see what I did wrong, maybe it was the plastic mug or I used the wrong kind of spoon maybe. In all it was a great success.

@Fred: the idea is precisely that this is so easy that anyone can do it. Hell, if I could anyone can. So if you think it looks delicious and it might be fun, go for it ^^

What wattage did your microwaves have? I've got an 1100-watt overpowered beast and I'm used to cutting down the cooking times, but it helps to know where to adjust from.

Wow, that looks so good it needs to be tried. How much did you use of everything, because looking at that recipe I don't want to use up 9 TBSP of hot chocolate, it seems a bit much...

Also, can someone tell me what cake flour is, I've never heard of it. Does it mean self raising flour or baking powder or something. I'm confused

FdL

Hmmm, I'm not sure...The recipe calls for 3 minutes in a powerful microwave.

Mine is 1200 watts. It came out good, except I realise that basically I used the wrong spoon size :s I used teaspoons instead of tablespoons. Damn translations... :s

Not bad for the first time though.

Edit: SubZero: Just remember that the measures have to be filled to the level of the spoon, so it's not that much I guess.
As a beginner I chose to follow the recipe as closely as I could, because I lack the experience or the eye to change it.

^: I think its just the amounts of gluten. Bread flour has more, and cake and pastry flours have less. The 'all-purpose' stuff is just somewhere in between.

I'll follow the recipe the first time and maybe the second. Then I don't care and do whatever I want to it. Even if it requires certain amounts of spices, I'll change those to whatever I feel like.

I do it mostly by scent oddly enough.

It works.

This was tagged just as the equivalent for self-raising flour. The other I had available was made for pizza. Maybe that one had more leavener even. But I bet it was the spoon problem with mine.

xD Fuddle, you actually did make one. Awesome!! *had lots of fun looking at the pix*

Cooking for pleasure was fun. I have to do it more often.

It looks like a tall mug though, probably taller than mine. Maybe it had to do with the shape.

In all, did it cook well? Even the spilled part?
It looks spongy and delicious ^^ Congrats!

I do suspect this works better with ceramic mugs too...And I'd probably would have plenty of spillage with my little mug.

I'll probably do it again soon.

Thanks for sharing! This is fun ^^

It was fun to make, in a way. It came out pretty well, it was a bit dry and I didn't have any cream or custard in so I added a little bit of milk. It was also quite heavy, I barely finished what was in the bowl and that was only half of it, I ate the reat later though.

And yeah, it's quite a big mug, it could probably do with less self rasing flour though.

When you think about it though isn't a muffin just a small cake. In texture it's a bit like a sponge really, but mine was a little heavier than that, I might just not have beaten it enough to get air in there.

It was a bit shorter and kinda choppier, but as it grew I kinda left it and this is how it sits now. Dunno weather I should go back to slightly shorter and choppier or keep it longer and emo.

Well, I was going for dashing, but guess I'll take Sneakly. :smalltongue:

It's probably just because I can't make myself smile for pictures and I absolutely refuse to post pictures of me out in the real world doing anything but staring at the camera balefully. Real world bad! Real world bad!

It obviously has nothing to do with the fact that I can't seem to find any pictures of me that I like.

Nope, nothing at all.
