Man Ape - Monstrous Humanoid

Man-Apes are essentially apes that are not even close to vaguely man-shaped, although they have the following qualities:

Size Large (Space/Reach 10')

Natural Armor +3.

30', climb 30'

Natural Attacks: Two slams (one hand/slam; 1d6+STR/hand) or alternatively one slam (using both hands; 1d10+1.5(STR)/hand). Cannot perform a slam with a hand if hand is occupied. Cannot slam with both hands if one or both hands are occupied. One bite (1d6+CON).

A man-ape's hands are even tougher than other parts of its body and can function like bludgeoning instruments. It also has powerful jaws.

Has low light vision and scent

Has a +8 bonus to climb checks and may always take 10 on a check, even if rushed or threatened.

Is sentient (INT is higher than 2) despite animal type

+10 STR, +4 DEX, +4 CON, +2 WIS, -4 CHA.

Man-apes are unanimously strong and well wrought. However their faces are such that discerning emotion beyond fur and grim looks can be somewhat of a challenge.

LA +3

A man-ape begins play with four levels of monstrous humanoid, which give it 4d8 HD, BAB +4, two feats, skill points equal to (2 + int)*7 and base saves REF +4 WILL +4 FORT +1

Automatic Languages: Monkay Speesh. Bonus Languages: Common, Giant, Orc, Goblin, Terran, Croc Talk

Man-Apes, given the name by explorers due to sentience rather than appearance, are good-natured and fierce to defend their territory.

Isolated in the midst of far reaching jungles, they have built witty homes out of whatever materials have been made available for themselves living simple lives.

In this respect, they are much like halflings, who prefer to take the joy out of life and do what they can with it. However, they are also sturdy defenders of their territory. They will risk their own lives and the lives of others close to them to get back what is taken from them in regards to land. Even the smallest portion of land can warrant a decades spanning excursion of guerilla warfare (pardon the pun).

Aside from this, they are often content to live life away from other species, as it has been as long as their unwritten word can remember.

Man-apes are particularly known for managing to live a lavish lifestyle, despite the lack of 'lavishes' (sweet food, sexy dancers, jewelry, etc.). They forage food in great quantities to accommodate their communities, and can fashion extensive and elaborate roofed homes and great contraptions purely out of just wood (although the croc-men have brought iron and gunpowder from the seas).

This massive ape is naked, except for a wide red tie with the initials 'DK' in yellow and gold; which seems to suit him, however hilarious. There always seems to be a pile of barrels close to him. He smiles widely and/or frowns at random intervals. People refer to him as 'Donkey Kong' for some reason.

Croc-man - Monstrous Humanoid

Croc-men are not in any way men. No, in fact, they much more resemble bipedal crocodiles. It makes more sense that way!

STR+8, DEX+2, CON+6, CHA -8

Croc-men are not only unpleasant in appearance, but generally mean-natured and silent when another desires their attention; it isn't like their race to initiate a conversation beyond what they care about and desire. Otherwise, they are impressive physical specimens and as sentient as any human.

LA +2

Croc-men are quite isolated from the other races and have established a somewhat vibrant civilization for themselves despite the lack of competition in the midst of this isolation.

Much of croc-man society has discovered iron and gunpowder and are immersed in an age of exploration, yet most are raiders, overwhelming there foes with both numbers and slightly superior technology.

Croc-men inhabit many warm marshes, rivers and even the seas in vessels of their own design. It is unknown where the first of their kind originated from.

Black Orc

Black Orcs are not, as the name implies, strictly black in skin tone. Rather, most are of a darker hue, whether green or gray or brown. Their veins, visible at a glance on any such particularly strong individual, are noted to be of a dark indigo hue and it has as such been discovered to be near black itself, thus distinguishing this race from regular orcs. Black orcs are also somewhat taller and with more defined 'orcish' features than your run-of-the-mill orc instead of the simple 'ugly' in what humans see in most orcs. Such features might include larger tusks, jaws that jut more, etc.

While prone to raiding just as their cousins are, black orcs are at the same time less cowardly and all the while more cunning. They will always meet an enemy who challenges them no matter who it is.

Black Orcs have a greater capacity for war and leadership than their cousins and some use it to great advantage. Although, their willingness to meet any challenge is viewed as suicidal by lesser 'cowardly' orcs (an accurate assessment) and as such their numbers are quite low to formulate any true threat to their fat and wealthy, civilized neighbors referred to as the 'soft races' such as humans and elves.

For now.

+4 Strength, -2 Wisdom, -2 Charisma.
Orc blood; All benefits and negatives related to ordinary orcs apply to black orcs at all times.
Automatic Languages: Common, Orc. Bonus Languages: Dwarven, Giant, Gnoll, Goblin, Undercommon, terran, draconic.
+4 morale bonus
+2 bonus to survival checks
+2 Natural Armor; Black orcs have naturally rugged skin overlapping a membrane of odd muscle tissue that serves the sole purpose of protecting them rather than aiding in movement.
LA+1
One level of humanoid which equals +1d8HD, skill points equal to (2 + int)x4 and one feat along with bonus skill points upon taking a class level in something that offers skill points greater than (2+int) equal to three*given points if (8+int) - 2.6*given points if (6+int) rounded down - two*given points if (4+int) - no multiplier if (2+int)
Favored Class: Barbarian.

Rumor has it that some of theparticularly mighty black orcs have been sent off to become dragon tamers. If the orcs truly did manage to tame and breed dragons as well as accelerate their aging processes, then all of civilization would likely collapse under their heel, without any need of uniting tribes. However, most academics and even some such explorers have dismissed this as only a rumor and nothing more.

After all, the idea that such an arrogant and powerful race as dragon-kind submitting to mere stupid raiders does sound rather preposterous, doesn't it? Doesn't it???
