Thinking about V having issues with the Dragon, and the defenseless nature of the family, not to mention the availability of resurrection magic, a possibility emerges.

V could have the demon kill the kids, and take back the corpses one at a time. Avoids the soul bind, keeps the bodies handy...

And it's kinda ethically questionable, sure, but at this juncture V seems to be losing it anyway.

What about V's mate? Unless a full grown elf really weights less than 50lbs, V's mate is as good as dead and likely soulbound as well...

I don't play so I don't know if elves are really that light... but I have trouble believing a full grown elf could weigh that little...
