I've been thinking of making this race for a while, and I've finally gotten around to it.
Think werewolves, except that they are always in the half-transformation stage and have been that way since birth.

They are not weak to silver since they are not werewolves.
What they all get:
Medium Sized
30 movement
Darkvision 60ft
+5 to saves against Cold
+5 to Track rolls
-5 to saves against Sonic Damage
Is affected by Hatred/Favored Enemy(Werewolf) as if they were a werewolf

The ability modifiers depends on which caste the person is. This also effects which skill modifiers and feat they get(As defined later).

Social Structure:
Upperclass
The Alpha Female(Queen)
The Alpha Male(King)
Alphas(Noblemen/Ladies)
The Clergy

Middle
Betas(Warriors)
Merchants/Craftsmen

Lower
Peasants

Noble/Upperclass(The Alphas): These are the ones who have shunned their Wolf Ancestry. Because of this, they look almost human. They tend not to marry outside of their caste because they want to be "Pure". They may have slightly pointed ears and a small column of fur along their spine. They are also the only ones who can become Sorcerers due to their more stable magic being. Another side effect of being more human is that they don't get many of the abilities that others do but they can also blend in easily with humans. The Upperclass looks down on the Low classes because they are "Unclean" and "Animals". They are also the only ones who are able to become Bards due to the fact that they have human facial and vocal structure.

Cannot become:Barbarians, Druids, or Rangers because those are "Uncivilized"

Favored Class: Fighter
+2Cha.
+1 to spot and listen
+2 to Diplomacy

More to come when I have the time.(And I'll improve the layout too)

Ooooh, Wulfen. Not Wolfen (http://www.freewebs.com/onemorechancetowish/12Kya_13.jpg).

Hairpen/boomerang/swords aside, statting them out like the format from the SRD (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/races.htm)would make it much eaiser to read. Heck, as they stand, I don't even know if Wolfen are Medium sized.

Ever consider Shifters? They're on page 24 of Crystalkeep (http://www.crystalkeep.com/d20/rules/DnD3.5Index-Races.pdf) and totally bad-a. They'd be good to re-fluff or use as an inspiration if nothing else.

In addition to the formatting, some more fluff is always nice. Are they half-werewolves? Does a Wolfen become an Alpha, or are they another caste (almost a sub-species)?

I'll improve the layout of the first post when I'm not so busy(Something came up when I was halfway through with it).

They are Medium Sized(thought I put that up there :smallconfused:)

The Wulfen are not werewolves. Think of them as Wolves who had evolved to become more intelligent and bi-pedal. I'll be able to finish the rest of this after my classes tomorrow.

Ironically, I gave WB that link in order to show him the stats for Lupins. :smalltongue: So far, I think they are okay mechanically.
