Each color represents a different effect in prismatic spray right? Well every one of them hit him, so thats 6 different effects at one time, and Its a high level spell (seventh i belive) Am i wrong, or did he just get REALLY lucky?

I think the yellow one hit the dragon since it's the only transparent ray.

The answers you seek are here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/prismaticSpray.htm) and here. (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/dragonTrue.htm)

Firstly, Ancient Black Dragons have 25 Spell Resistance, which is the most likely reason V's attack failed (He only had a 40% chance to affect her with anything.)

Secondly, Prismatic Spray's effect is determined randomly by rolling 1d8. Even if it appears all the rays hit, only one has an effect unless you roll an 8, in which case two have an effect. Rich usually represents the effective 'ray' by making it wider than the rest, for example with the Pit Fiend when he made the blue ray (petrification) wide.

The dragon is female.

V got the worst possible outcome from the prismatic spray, but even in a different case, the top was 80 damage, which is a light wound for a dragon that size. The petrification allows a saving throw, and a dragon has like a +20, so V would have needed extreme luck to be effective, not the other way around.

So was dark blue, near the bottom. It was yellow because it was the biggest.
