Zern Combatants are created by the Zern to be disposable, but strong, fighters. They are often used to soften up the enemy before Bladethralls come to finish them off. They have blood-red skin, with no facial features except for a huge, hideous, fanged maw. They cannot close this maw. They are thin, with extremely long arms. They stand roughly 10 feet tall.

Combat
Zern Combatants charge into combat with wild abandon, and fight to the death.

See Monster Manual IV.

I like the new experiments, but I must offer a conflicting opinion on your opening statement; Ethergaunts are the kewlest creatures ever.
