THE OSHIANS

Mysterious warriors born of the sea with bestial instincts.

Average Height: 6'0'' - 6'8''
Average Weight: 250 - 300 lbs.

Ability Scores: +2 Strength, +2 Wisdom

Waterborn: You gain a +1 racial attack bonus when in contact with a body of water. You do not need to be submerged, and anything from a puddle to an ocean will do. A weather-related phenomena like rain will give this bonus as well. A carried item like a canteen of water will not give this bonus.
Blood Frenzy: You may use blood frenzy as an encounter power.

Blood Frenzy Oshian Racial Power
The smell of either your enemies or allies' blood in combat drives you into a rage.
Encounter
Immediate Interrupt Personal
Trigger: A creature within 5 squares of you is bloodied.
Effect: Choose either the creature that was bloodied or the attacking creature that bloodied it. You gain a +1 power bonus to attack roll and a +2 power bonus to damage rolls against that target until the end of the encounter or until the target is more than 10 squares away from you.

Racial Fluff:

Oshians are born of the sea. They rarely form permanent settlements and instead wander the oceans, stopping only when their instincts drive them to feed or mate. Despite this, they are intelligent as well as curious about the world on land, and more Oshians have taken to adventuring and exploring above the waves.

Play an Oshian if you want...

to be a member of an exotic race rarely seen in civilization
to excel in underwater combat
to look like that one bad guy from One Piece
to be a member of a race that favors the Primal classes when they come out in March

Physical Qualities:
The average Oshian resembles a well-built humanoid with blue or gray skin. While they occasionally have patches of scales, their skin is usually made of a layer of dense but flexible cartilage supported by a thin layer of blubber. Their gills are positioned somewhere from the shoulder to the neck, but they are usually invisible due to the flaps closing whenever the Oshians leave the water. They have webbed fingers and toes, and while there are different body types, most Oshians have streamlined bodies to achieve the best mobility underwater possible. Most Oshians have small fins along their arms or bodies as well as a dorsal fin along their back, but some display much larger fins and flaunt them as a sign of beauty. Most Oshians do have a little hair on their heads, but even male Oshians never see a single bit of body hair. Many Oshians have traits similar to various aquatic creatures, such as spines, coloring, or even small coral growths (though the latter is usually seen as a fungus that comes from poor hygiene), though these traits vary greatly from Oshian to Oshian.

Playing an Oshian:
The average Oshian is a mystery to the outside world and vice-versa. Although they are quite common in friendly port towns, they are rarely seen inland. Oshians are in high demand among sailors due to their natural advantages in the water and instincts on the high seas. Their reverence towards sea gods makes it considered good luck to have an Oshian aboard a vessel.

Despite their solitary nature, Oshians are very religious, building and keeping up various underwater or island temples to various nature or sea gods. These shrines, depending on the deity they're meant for, can be private places of worship for the Oshians, sanctuaries for those crossing the sea, or secret lairs for evil Oshians. The natural world is revered even above land universally by almost all Oshians, and very few are willing to put up with an operation that pollutes or harms the environment.

The typical Oshian player character is one whose curiosity drove it to explore the world above sea level. While Oshians are often quiet, stoic, or socially awkward, they are usually willing to try new things and meet new people, though too much at once can easily overwhelm the average Oshian.

Before adventuring or settling down into a position on a ship or in a temple, an Oshian has no actual name and sees little need for one. For this reason, most Oshians pick their own name only when it actually becomes necessary, and they will often pick a name that reminds them of the sea.

lol. I was more going for good stats for the Primal classes when they come out, but that also means good stats for Clerics and divine classes in general too.
