I mainly consider fanvids an unfortunate visual side-effect of listening to a song on YouTube.

It's not using the halo engine. That's all self-created CG by the person who made haloid.

Edit: some of the dota videos out there I enjoy, but my playlist seems to be mia ;_;

Nah, it's all fine. The CG is pretty dang impressive.

Speaking of which, I was impressed with This (http://www.vimeo.com/2625538) video and what someone did with just the WoW engine.

I only watched Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann because of this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6-pvebAu0A). I like this AMV better than the series.

This fan-made opening and ending of Final Fantasy VI (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MDXgTbVzEI) "anime" is pretty impressive. It uses character designs and some scenes from the older Full Metal Alchemist intro and outro. Not actual favorite, but still impressive.

Just to be clear: is it Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann set to "I'll make a man out of you"? So far, I've only been able to see it here (http://lifeofanotaku.multiply.com/video/item/13/AMV_-_Tengen_Toppa_Gurren_Lagann_-_Be_A_Man) (not on youtube).

If not, the only video that I've found that's even remotely close is one of the Parallel works, which is Rap is a Man's soul.

The other link seemed to work for me.
