My short campaign, Taris Resists! (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=105043) starts tomorrow evening. The Taris Resistance (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Taris_Resistance) is going to be a major part of it, given they're the outfit to which our two Jedi PCs belong. Thing is, we don't know a great deal about it, especially after the failed assassination attempt on Cassus Fett, and the Mandalorian attack on the Resistance base that happened almost simultaneously. The survivors called what happened afterwards The Retreat, as they fled into the Undercity to escape the Mandalorians.

My game is set a few weeks after that. What we know for sure is that Senator Goravvus (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Goravvus)is nominally in charge of the movement. It's a pretty disparate group of people, composed of all sorts of conflicting interests, and by no means united.
It is riven with factions, including a noble faction (who think they should be in charge); a constable faction (quite a few peace officers had joined up); a criminal faction (the leader of which is probably Gadon Thek (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Gadon), since the Hidden Beks make up a major section of that); an alien faction (70% of Taris (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Taris)' population is non-human, but the racist regime that ran things were anti-alien, this is a counterweight to the nobles); maybe an Outcast (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Outcast)faction, representing those from the Undercity displaced by the fighting; there might be a few others, and of course some unaligned people who just want to live one day to the next.
Thing is, I could try to fill out some of these with notable figures, but they'd all end up a bit samey because only one person was behind them. I really want the Resistance to be a rogue's gallery of interesting people. Not just leaders of factions, but lieutenants, rank and file, and independents too. Not everyone is a cop, criminal or aristo (though they're good too), there's all sorts of ordinary people swept up into this, or off-worlders in the wrong place at the wrong time.
All I'm after is a name and a brief, paragraph-long bio. Possibly which faction (if any) they're aligned to, and something of interest. For example:
Countess Freja d'Monde. Vain, arrogant, self-important, d'Monde's father had been a minister and powerful politician in Taris' Executive Assembly before the Mandalorians arrived (the Earl d'Monde was killed in a bombardment). A staunch supporter of Taris' anti-alien customs, she is the leader of the noble faction by dint of rank - she's ninth in line to the throne of Taris' old monarchy. While she's been forced to accept Goravvus' leadership for the time being, she believes it should be her who leads the Resistance. The liberation of Taris is both her patriotic duty, and his birthright.
As befits one of her station, she's protected by a trio of genetically-engineered, clone life-wards (courtesy of Adascorp (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Adascorp)), there were more but they were killed in the retreat. While she isn't impressed with the reduction in status that living with a bunch of rebels in the much of the Undercity carries, she sees it as a long-term investment for maximum reward when all this is over.
So, Star Wars NPCs who could have made it as part of an outlawed movement on an occupied world.
