View Full Version : Vote Up an Acid Class (Currently Voting: 4th letter of the name)

DracoDei
2009-02-27, 02:57 PM
Greetings fellow cretins. We shall now vote up an acid class. In order that neither sense nor the will of the Playground should prevail, but rather the most vocal minority, you may vote as often as you like, however, if you break the 3 post rule your vote shall count NEGATIVE for whatever I decide your true favorite is. Also, I want to congratulate everyone on some really creative ballot box stuffing, however to keep everything fresh, not only will voting be limited to one per post, and altering of ballots other than by edits made to a given post by the person who originally posted that post be disallowed, but each vote must be validated by associating it with a separate type of pet. Please specify the type of pet along with the vote.

All terrible classes need a really bad name. We want something that is simple enough that people will actually attempt it, but unpronounceable enough to maximize the resulting number of trips to the emergency room with severed tongues and dislocated jaws.Voting will continue for each letter of the name until I get bored, or one letter gets 10 votes whichever comes first. When I get REALLY bored I will finish up the rest of the name, and we can move on to voting for which psychological problem(s) the class should embody... depression, apathy, mania/hyperactivity, megalomania, indiscriminate unproductive and self-destructive anger, multiple personality disorder, etc etc. Later we might vote on if an understanding of quantum physics, irrational calculus involving transcendental numbers, or veterinary proctology will be most important to getting the jokes in the tables...

For examples of Acid Classes, see the following (Best read in order):

Now voting on fourth Letter of Name

We are now voting on The number of levels it should have. 3, 5, 10, 12, 20, and 30 are disallowed. Votes this round must be validated with an on-site link to a homebrewed monster... remember, no repeats! The name of the monster must appear in your post, and must be the link to the thread and page containing that monster.

In case it was not noticed we are on the third letter now. Cheeses are now reset, please do not repeat them on a given letter. I will probably change the validation system in the middle... maybe to types of pets (cat, poodle, unwanted, run-over, rock, etc) at which point any further votes validated with a cheese will not count... or maybe will count negatively or something...

Note that I will probably not be posting this information in a separate post on this thread, but rather will likely just edit the first post of the thread, because if it isn't inconvenient for you to keep track of the rules, how are ANY of us supposed to get ANY fun and torment (can't have one without the other) out of this.

not just a hand clap one hand clapping

All terrible classes need a really bad name. We want something that is simple enough that people will actually attempt it, but unpronounceable enough to maximize the resulting number of trips to the emergency room with severed tongues and dislocated jaws.
it's supposed to be unpronuceble

ʘ like Sardo. And I'd say it should be made of parts that can, on their own (or in the correct context), be pronounced, but together are unpronounceable.

ʘ (AKA bilabial click) wins this round...
On to the fourth letter... this one shall be validate by types of pets, rather than kinds of cheese...
I will go ahead and vote for Q and validate it with a ferret that died of an STD.

My dear acid class! What is this? Surely interest hasn't waned for something so patently ridiculous that's it is, in fact, made of awesome? Please, my friends--breathe some life into this lovely bit of crack!

The winner is Q. It was almost a tie, until I realized (AKA arbitratily decided as a tie breaking meaure) that "clap" and "the sound of one hand clapping" weren't the same thing... of course I didn't doule check the counts either, but this is an Acid class here, so that works.

Please now vote for the number of levels this class should have. 20 is automatically disallowed and disqualified , as are 30, 10, 5, and 3.

Votes this round must be validated with an on-site link to a homebrewed monster... remember, no repeats!
