Dragon #366 includes two interesting spells:
1. Exaction. Lets you pay what is literally described as a negligible price in exchange for a guarantee that your intent won't be misinterpreted and no revenge shall be sought.

2. Dolor. Increases your Charisma check to force the being to do what you want, but also increases the likelihood of being misinterpreted and revenge being sought later. Also, an [Evil] spell.

IMO Exaction is superior, but what if you cast both? There's no RAW on this, and RAI seems equally opaque, so I'm just asking for opinions from the DMs here. Assuming you allowed the spells, what would you do if a player tried to apply the carrot and the stick?

Simply house-rule "one or the other, not both", which I think was the intent in the original Unearthed Arcana (where these spells first appeared).

What, you mean the AD&D version?

Are you sure you don't mean 336? Spells of the Demonomicon? Is there a 366 with similar spells?
