Help me name songs

I was listening to the radio and heard these really cool songs. It was really hard to hear the lyrics, but it was a sort of light (progressive?) rock song. The chorus ended with the lyrics "...the devil's in your hands.". Any ideas of what it was?

Another ones was a bit more intense and went something like "Shake it off, Shake it off, We're all dyin' in the end!"

Now, I've never heard either of these songs/artists before, so I dunno if they're right. But that's what my internet search yielded. And the internet is always right.
