I'm on the lookout for prestige classes that advance a bards effective level when determining the bonuses to his inspire courage ability.

So far the only one I've been able to find is the Virtuoso from Complete Adventurer.

Any help here guys? Books allowed are anything that is published by WotC. Giving the souce book would be awesome as well.

In case people are wondering I'm looking to play an uber inspre bard, taking Song of the Heart, Dragonfire Inspiration (I'm a Silverbrow Human) and Words of Creation. I'm also planning on taking 2 levels of Seeker of the Song, since starting 2 songs at the same time can never be a bad thing.

I believe http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=816095 and http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=952766 should be of some use to you.

Well, it's not a prestige class, but you'll probably want him wearing a Vest of Legends from DMG II. Treated as 5 levels higher for bonuses from inspire courage, fascinate, inspire greatness, and inspire heroics. +5 to perform and diplomacy checks. Costs 16000

The Dread Pirate advances Inspire Courage, and I think faster than a Bard does.

Does Crusader or Warblade count?

As Frosty suggestion, Warblade or Crusader are extremely powerful with the "Song of the White Raven" feat from Tome of Battle. A 'Bardblade' is a very powerful build and is even better if you have a Druid (he summons and his Animal Companion mean more boost from DFI). Post #15 has a great progression (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102275)

There are only 2 annoyance factors with this build; you only get like 4 uses of Inspire Courage a day and you get barely any spells. The lack of spells isn't too bad considering that casting them stops your singing and Bard spells are not known for being so very powerful. When I played one, I would Alter Self into a Lizardfolk for the extra 5 AC and the bonus to jump. If it is Fire Vulnerable, it's automatically dead and if it is Fire Resistant, you can still add +6/+6 to everyone anyway.
