The Dream Team Fortress 2

Basically, if the Team of Team Fortress 2 were not filled out, which character would you choose for each class? Basically which character would you put in your own Dream Team version of the Classes. Any character that can fill out the class roles can qualify.


For those who are not familiar with Team Fortress 2, it is an online multiplayer shooter with nine classes, each with their own specialties.


The Classes and their roles (clarified for more general description):
The Heavy Weapons Guy
Tank Class and Mighty Glacier. Very useful for frontline assaults and for soaking up damage. Goes well with Medic.

The Scout
Incredibly agile Fragile Speedster.

The Engineer
The Smart Guy whose main job is defense/support. Creates useful devices good for either taking out enemies or supporting allies on the field.

The Soldier
The Mainline Fighter. Relatively general class.

The Demoman
Explosive specialist. Does the stuff that makes things blow up.

The Sniper
The Sniper. Exactly What It Says On The Tin

The Spy
Specializes in assassination and sabotage. Can disguise themselves amongst the enemy while either picking them off one by one or destroying their equipment.

The Medic
Healer class responsible for keeping members alive. Can grant temporary invulnerability in-game.

The Pyro
Kills things with fire.

The Heavy Weapons Guy
Good ol' Try-Again Bragg.

The Scout
I don't know who would be a fragile speedster among the Ghosts, but I guess maybe Mkvenner? He's certainly not fragile, but he's fast and is skilled in CQC.

The Engineer
None of the Tanith are particularly famous for being techy, except for maybe Larks (but he's got another role). So...I got nothin'

The Soldier
Colm Corbec, Agun Soric, or Gol Kolea. Solid soldiers, all of them, if perhaps better suited for leadership.

The Demoman
Feygor likes his explosives.

The Sniper
Larkins. 'Nough said.

The Spy
Mkoll is better with the cloaking and backstabbing, though Rawne may be better with sapping sentries. Dunno who among the ghosts is good at disguise, though...

The Medic
Doc Dorden.

The Pyro
Aongus Brostin. Pyromaniac extraordinaire.

Alright...Ah, screw it, let's go with the cliche and go for anime characters. The general problem is the various power levels... but let's just disregard that for now. I'm very uncreative, so expect very natural, basic fits to the roles.


Heavy Weapons:
Akimichi Chouji, Naruto. Because he's fat as anything, and honestly seeing him lugging around a minigun would be awesome.

The Scout:
Ichigo Kurosaki, Bleach. Ridiculously fast in his Bankai-form, and that jacket he's got is just sweet.

The Engineer:
Winry Rockbell, Fullmetal Alchemist. Best. Wrench Wench. Ever. Hits pretty hard with her wrench, too.

The Soldier:
Nanoha Takamachi. Because it doesn't get much more mainline fighter than starlight breaker.

The Demoman:
Kimblee, Fullmetal Alchemist. He turns people into living bombs. Along with anything else.

The Sniper:
Kurz Weber, Full Metal Panic! He's a sniper. It's what he does. Such as the ability to hit the machine guns on the head of a giant mech as it's firing at you from the back of a moving truck.

The Spy:
Han'nya (dude looks like This (http://accel10.mettre-put-idata.over-blog.com/0/10/73/24/kenshin/738.jpg)), Rurouni Kenshin. Because off the top of my head, he's the only "disguise self" ninja I can think of.

The Medic:
Orihime Inoue, Bleach. Best healing abilities ever.

The Pyro:
Roy Mustang, Fullmetal Alchemist. He's the flame alchemist. What more do you need?

...3 FMA characters. Maybe I should try for all of them.

And now, Avatar: The Last Airbender Characters!

The Heavy:
Toph. A little girl who can kick your ass six ways from Sunday, bends metal, and otherwise does a lot of crazy stuff like that.

The Scout:
Aang. Because aerial reconnaissance is key to victory.

The Soldier
Suki. No-nonsense combat-type.

The Engineer
Sokka. Comes up with crazy plans and gadgets on a regular basis.

The Demoman
Combustion Man, or Sparky Sparky Boom Man. He blows things up with his mind.

The Sniper:
Mai. Because shurikens and knives are the closest thing to a sniper bullet in this show, unless you're using no-name characters.

The Medic:
Katara. Let's face it. It's what she is.

The Spy:
Azula. Was able to infiltrate and bring down Ba Sing Se from the inside.

The Pyro
Zuko. Do I really need to explain this one?

Discworld seems a nice starting place. Probably incomplete, but one tries.

Heavy: Detritus. The minigun would be tiny compared to his standard firearms.
Scout: Rhincewind. If there's one thing he knows, it's running.
Engie: Leonardo de Quirm. He builds more insane projects before breakfast than most folks manage in a lifetime.
Soldier: Well, if we're going general frontline awesomeness, Vimes could work. Totally non standard, but hey, he needs to go somewhere.
Demoman: Ridicully seems good at making things explode. Maybe even too good. Wizards in general do this fine but he's a pro.
Sniper: Dunno
Spy: Vetinari could do nicely here. Man sneaks around like nobody's business.
Medic: Not sure.
Pyro: Lady Sybil seems to know how to make things burn. Swamp dragons are wonderful things.

9 Straw Hat Pirates, 9 slots to fill. Should be simple enough.

Heavy: Zoro's superhuman strength has been noted more than once. Franky's also a candidate, but he's taken up with being an Engineer.

Scout: Brook, no contest - he's the fastest guy around, thanks to being so light. Dude can run on water.

Engineer: Franky. Usopp's a possibility, but he's taken up by being a Sniper.

Sniper: Usopp/Sogeking, no contest.

Spy: Robin was originally a spy, so I guess this fits her best. Ideally it would be Mr. 2, but he's not an 'official' Straw Hat.

Medic: Obviously, Tony Tony Chopper. He swaps out turning people invincible for hulking-out himself, though.

Pyro: Sanji, thanks to his burning "Diablo Jambe". Ace would probably fit better, but, again, he's not a Straw Hat.

Soldier: Luffy, I guess - he doesn't really fit elsewhere.

Demoman: Nami's probably the best fit for this, what with her Clima-Tact. Really, she just doesn't fit anywhere else. Mr. 5 would work if he were a Straw Hat.
