Iragua island (Town)

[Quinsar]

There's huge island floating over the center of land. It's covered in deep jungle. Other than the plant's, and a few birds, there seems to be no life.

There is an anti flight field over the island.

Bubble flies up to and lands on the island, looking around, Gee, why am I not surprised at all? A pause, HELLO?! he calls out loudly. IS SOMEBODY DRIVING THIS THING?!

[Beans]

Lech lands with a THWRUNSH.
Anyone here? If you want me to love y'alls, you'd best be considered a part of Town! Otherwise... um... I dunno.

[Quinsar]

No response, exceptbirds scattering from the jungle.

[Sen Halfomoon]

I light CHINK! can be heard as what looks like a grappling hook appears on the edge of the island, followed by much grunting and panting as Sican finally gets onto the island...
Geez, next time this happens please someone remember I can't fly...
he's to out of breath to shout.

[Jjkaybomb]

Ha, sorry, Sican.... Bubble nervously smiles. He turns back to the forest, frowning This wouldnt come here fo no reason, right...? He turns to the pair and points up, I'm going to see if there are any buildings, or places that would control this thing on the surface. He sighs heavily and jumps up, flying over the island to try and see if theres any buildings at all...

[Quinsar]

He won't be able to fly as an anti flight field has just formed over the island...

Then he falls on his face.

He stays there for a minute and gets to his feet, Well. Ow. He brushes the dirt off himself. We walk then. Or I walk. he shrugs to the others.

[Chas the mage]

an airplane (http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/shared/media/photodb/photos/051202-F-1234P-019.jpg) flies in ovals around the island, looking for any signs of civilization, and a spot to land.

[Quinsar]

If the airplane flies over the island it will crash, before it can get over the jungle.

[Chas the mage]

The airplane goes in low, attempting to check for anything, but then begins to fall as it enters the anti fly feild. smoke plumes come up from the crash sit.

[Quinsar]

it would crash before it got over the island. If it tries to fly over the jungle it would be like it flew into a wall.

[Chas the mage]

once it barrels into the invisible wall, a few men with parachutes jump out, attempting to direct themselves onto the island...

[Beans]

Lech follows, trying to haul Sican to his feet.

[Quinsar]

They'll be able to land.

[Sen Halfomoon]

We walk,
Sican grins getting his bow ready, finally something to do!

The men land in the jungle. There are 5 or 6 of them. They all wear khaki blazers, pants, vests, with an olive dress shirt and black tie. all but one wear grey pith helmets (safari hat), and the odd one out wears a khaki pith helmet.

[Quinsar]

Chas, can you maybe not have five guys? This plot is only really meant for about 4-6 people...


When Bubble and co. enter the forest they will fid it very thick, but somewhat simple to manuever.

[Chas the mage]

all but one of them (the one in tha khaki) can easily get picked off... they lack intellegance and armor.

[Quinsar]

But there isn't really anything to pick them off...
Can you maybe just not have five guys? Please?

[Chas the mage]

mmmk... 4 of the guys miss the island entirly because of a ghust of wind. one remaining guy gets his parachute caught on a tree near the edge of the island, and it rips in seconds and he plummits. only one guy left. the rest where NPCs...

Bubble still will be trying to call out hello, anybody there, ect. He keeps looking around for anything unusual.

[Sen Halfomoon]

Sican is in his element. Now his status as predator shows clearly, he is quiet, his bow ready to fire, he is relying only on sight to keep track of bubble and lech, he is letting his senses of smell and hearing take over when it comes to searching. Anything out of the ordinary, scent wise will catch the gnoll's attention.

[Beans]

Lech follows closely behind him.

[Quinsar]

Well, Chas' character will probably get caught in a tree.


Sican might smell something musty in the distance. Like herbs, meat, and fire.

[Chas the mage]

He sits in the tree for a second, before flailing his legs around.
Is there anybody here?
He says. He has an upperclass london accent, and he absolutely reeks of tobacco, wine, and tea.
((disclaimer: I don't think all british people sit around and drink tea all day))

Lech turns toward the treebound limey, white-blonde hair a-swishing and robotic legs a-whirring.
The hell're you doing up there?

Dunno where brit dood is on the island, and since he didnt shout, I doubt Bubble hears him. Bubble keeps plowing through the forest, unaware that Sican might smell something.

[Sen Halfomoon]

Guys hold up for second, there's fire up ahead, meat too, someone's cooking it with some herbs as well...I can't tell what though, and I can't tell what kind of meat either.
Sican takes severl small sniffs to find out in which direction to go
I'll scout ahead, you guys hang back, if there's no trouble I'll come back, if I get into hot water I'll yowl and yell like no tomorrow.
With that he leaves to scout it out.

[Chas the mage]

I'm sort of stuck, If you havent noticed yet!
he says, annoyed

Bubble nods to Sican, Alright, stay safe, we'll join up with you later.

Well then hold still. Bubble states clearly to the brit, flicking his right hand up to fire off, eh, I dunno, some kind of laser beam to cut the stuff holding the brit dood.

[Quinsar]

Ahead the smell gets stronger,there's a faint yellow glow.

[Sen Halfomoon]

Sican will continue untill he can see exactly what is causing this, and as he's following his nose and using his sense of smell, he should be able to tell by now what is up ahead.

[Chas the mage]

He falls to the ground
That... didn't tickle...
he says, wincing.

[Quinsar]

He'll eventually getthere, now the smell is above him.

[Jjkaybomb]

Well, of course not, but at least you're not in that tree, Bubble says simply, trying to help the man to his feet, What were you even doing up there? Oh, I'm Thomas N. Bubble, by the way.

[Sen Halfomoon]

Well as the scent is coming from above he will look up to see what it's coming from.
now what have we here?
He whispers to himself.

[Beans]

And I'm Laei'kHana'Oour, known as Lechner by most.

[Quinsar]

From high in the trees he might see a glint of steel.

[Sen Halfomoon]

I'd have to be stupid to try climbing that without someone to catch me if I fell...
Sican would run back to the others,
Okay everyone here, listen up, I couldn't tell much it was up a tree, and well I wouldn't climb a tree that tall without some way of protecting myself from the fall, anywho, it's this way...oh and I'm Sican Ark'Aral by the way.
He'd add to the man who smells like tea, tobacco, and wine. As he leads them all to where he was when he saw the glint of steel and where the smell came from above.

Jaya walks around looking up at how to get to the island
Hmm how can I do this...?
She thinks for a moment then takes a rope climbing to the highest point in the town and uses her innate Drow abilities to levitate about 20 feet short of the island then throws up a grappling rope to get the rest of the distance.

EDIT: Granted it's all attempted...

He says
I-I'm with the Viceroy.
He expect him to know who he's talking about.

Well, then, exploring away! Bubble responds to Sican, chasing after. He waves back at Lechner and Broderick, C'mon, we've got to find why this island's here... and stuff like that! They're probably breaking parking rules or something...

[Quinsar]

THe smell is moving away now, on the ground.



Jaya can get on.

[Chas the mage]

He stands up
How is a floating island breaking parking regulations!?
He mutters as he follows.

[Beans]

Lech follows, looking curiously at Broderick.

[Sen Halfomoon]

Less talking more running it's moving.
Sican continues to follow his sense of smell, drawing his bow, ready to fire a normal arrow if the thing comes into view, if it does he'd aim to slow it, not to kill.

[Bergett]

Jaya jumps on the ground and looks at her surroundings she takes to the path ahead of her darting from tree to tree looking for anything in particular.

[Quinsar]

It keeps moving. They may eventually see a pale green blur.

Bubble picks up his speed, left hand twitching slightly.
I dunno, it's town, there might be regulations for airspace parking! Bubble jokes, though his face is serious.

[Bergett]

Jaya goes along and then sees the group and stays behind a tree... watching.

[Beans]

Lech sighs.
Chasing things---is this what I was put here for?

[Chas the mage]

What is that?
he whispers to bubble, indicating Sican.

[Sen Halfomoon]

Sican, ignoring Broderick's comment, notices the blur.
gotcha.
Sican Darts forward with an extra burst of speed, and tries to pounce onto the thing. If he gets it he'll try to pin it, if not he'll get up in hot pursuit.

Still running, Bubble looks at Sican, then laughs, I dunno, a dog demon, ask him yourself! Oh and, dont judge people based on appearance. Bubble smiles widely at Broderick, wider than any human could... he's got dang pointy teeth too. Creepy.
Bubble sees the glow, Go, Sican! Get it! Bubble keeps running, just trying to see what it is...

[Quinsar]

He tackles it, but he's met with a fireball, and a large anount of swearing.

[Chas the mage]

Dog demon? what!?
he is completely unerved by bubbles odd smile

[Beans]

A gnoll, a hyena-like guy that's about two-thirds demon. Got booted outta his pack for being a good person among the jerks. Lech explains.

Bubble sees.
Wait! Wait! Stop everyone! We're all friends here! We're just curious about this island! Bubble calls out, still trying to see what the glow is, specifically.

[Sen Halfomoon]

That hurt.
The fireball burnt Sican, you can tell, most of the tips of his fur are singed. luckily nothing critical, demonblood, it always helps.
Now you didn't say the thing was running off, so I'm going out on a limb here...
who are you?!
He'd ask to whatever he has pinned.

[Quinsar]

He's got a green robed mage with blue sunglasses, yellow ees, and brown hair.
'M Quinsar.

[Chas the mage]

HE just watches... confused...

Bubble tries to grab Sican's shoulder, Off him, Sican! he puts firmly. He turns down to Quinsar, Sorry about that. Eh, assume the worst right? Friends? Know anything about this island? he smiles innocently.

[Quinsar]

Don't know much... yet.

[Sen Halfomoon]

Sican gets off...only cause bubble pulled him
You're lucky that fireball didn't do too much damage
He then falls, in more pain then he thought he was, adrenaline and all.
um, yeah healing please...burns everywhere.

[Quinsar]

Um, yeah, mage.... Not a cleric.
He says a bit sarcastically, still grumpy that he was tackled.
He stands and dusts him self off.

Ooh, a fellow explorer! Excuse me though, Bubble smiles, turning to Sican, Geez, it was only one fireball to the face... he jokes, attemtping to heal Sican. And er... again, sorry about that...

[Sen Halfomoon]

it may have hit my face but fur=flammable, so I burnt EVERYwhere. Sorry for the tackling and all, but I've learned from experience to expect the worst when you smell meat being cooked, let's call it even with the fireball. Sican by the way, pleasure to meet ya quinsar...
Sican extends a paw to be shook.

[Bergett]

Jaya realizes that these people are not a threat and walks out and stands in the back of the group walking softly, and she is there... if they notice.

[Beans]

Sican takes back his unshook paw,
okay then...so any idea how this island came to be hurtling through the sky?
