Anyone ever try this PrC? I can't use assassin but this one seems to do fine. Gives me death attack, some sneak attack, and dimensional door.

Only thing is that i need 3 lvls of cleric, are there any spells or domains that will make me more effective than the +2d6 that I lose?

Also this job looks pretty decent on paper but how does it play?

Seeing cleric levels as a loss is blowing my mind. Usually it's the other way around.

Anyway, refluff Temple Raider from the same book, take five levels, hit up Black Flame Zealot.

And turn EWP Kukri into Kukri proficiency, just for sanity's sake.

[edit]
I've never seen anyone play it.
I've seen Shadowbane Stalker from Complete Adventurer (a similar class) work just fine for a Rogue/Cloistered Cleric. On the other hand, SS has more skill points, useful class abilities and decent casting progression, making it trump BFZ in just about every way.

But your mileage is going to vary entirely on your group. In a party of half-casters, Incarnum users, skillmonkeys or non-casters it should be fine. In a Cleric/Wizard/Unseen Seer/Slayer group, you might feel some drag.

sorry, what i meant was becoming less specialized as a rogue. A straight cleric beats a straight rogue easy, but I never wanted to play cleric. Clerics hardly need PrC or even multiclass. Not so with rogues.

Temple raider looks pretty good but I getting +5 BAB as a rogue will take 7 lvls, and still 6 lvls as a rogue 1/ fighter 5, then another 4 lvls in raider before I can qualify for black flame zealot. I guess it would not be too bad we started at level 10, but new campaigns usually start at 5-7 and I would like to have death strike by then.

If you want Death Attack with a decent DC at level 10, Rogue 3/Archivist 3/BFZ might be a better route than Rogue 2/Cleric 3.

Archivist (HoH) lets you boost Intelligence a bit more freely and gives access to Hunter's Eye from the PHB2, among other useful stealth spells.

Black Flame Zealot is a nice class, but too crippled by idiotic abilities. Death Attack won't ever do anything because DC will always be laughable. Capstone ability is good against PCs, not so much against NPCs. My point is, it needs some house rulling.

Recently I made a topic (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104934&highlight=Black+Flame+Zealot), and you should seriously talk with your DM about adding some fixes to the class, because as it is, it's terribly sub-par class.

If you're starting at a high enough level, there's always DMM persisted divine power, etc.

You might consider using Illumnian Sigil cheese to qualify earlier for the class.
