This is why it's so hard for me to be a DM with anyone but my friends, sometimes it just seems silly. "A cloud of gasses burst forth, and the molecules in your face start to corrode," doesn't sound so silly with my best friends at 2 in the morning saturday, but it sounds horribly silly when anyone else is there.
