Well, I just played this creepy little game by the name of Yume Nikki (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMwDplGAI70) (Dream Diary), and it was...good. Disturbing, but good.

In any case, I was thinking that we, as a community, might like to adapt some elements to our D&D.

So what do you think of this idea?

Also: UBOOOOAAAAA! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJHux3Hda2c)

I dunno, the assumption that characters have powers, defense scores and detailed ability stats and skills seems contrary to the idea of an exploratory adventure game. You would have to rewrite a lot of assumptions.

Now if you wanted to make 4e Shounen anime, that would work reasonably well. Shounen characters are usually on a neverending arms-race, so the concept of levels and powers works well.

Besides, why not just use generic World of Darkness rules or just pick up a ruleset that's better provided for it? You don't even really need strict rules honestly . . . just go freeform roleplaying with some very loose guidelines.

Actually, I said adapting elements.

Like say, the whole bizzare, nightmarish quality the whole thing has.

Okay, somebody just insert generic horror advice here.

EDIT: Also, I must note the irony when I implied that D&D isn't an exploratory adventure game. It is. Just not that kind.
