Everybody says that Durkon still didn't get get spotlight, and you're right.
But Durkon's spotlight won' be any time soon, let's put two and two together:
Kraggor is a dwarf
Dwarven lands are snowy
Kraggor's gate is in a snowy place
Each member of Soon's team protects the gate closest to their homeland
Durkon's prophecy (otOotPCs)

They will go to Kraggor's gate last, and Durkon will "bring destruction for us [The dwarves] all"

Now let's connect the dots: Durkon will get his spotlight last, but when he does, it will be totally dramatic and stuff...

Your dot-connecting is based on the assumption that Durkon can get "his moment in the spotlight" only once before the end of the comic; that is obviously an unreasonable assumption. Even if your speculation about Kraagor's Gate, the dwarven homelands and the role Durkon has to play concerning both turns out to be correct, then this still doesn't mean that he has to remain a deuteragonist until these hypothetical events unfold. He could be the main focus of minor arcs and scenes long before that.

He's returning to Dwarven lands "posthumously." The logical assumption therefore is that he will die sometime before that. Plenty of time for a spotlight there.

Durkon doesn't need a spotlight. He has Darkvision.

Actually. This is something I noticed right back at the start, but didn't feel like mentioning it here because A) I'm probably wrong and B) I'm lazy :D

The oracle is VERY specific at answering the question to the words of the question. With Roy and Belkar. they both got useless answers, but they were exact.

Durkon Asks, and this is a direct quote: "How will I finally be returnin' to me beloved dwarvern homelands?"

As in, the last time he returns home, as opposed tot he next time he returns home. He could go home a hundred times, but decide to stay with Roy until the end.

There are several loopholes here. "Finally" allows Durkon to visit and leave again any number of times before finally dying away from home and being shipped back. And in a world with Raise Dead, Durkon can die, be raised, and then return home alive [my own preference]. There are a couple of other ways that have been suggested.
So there is good reason to suspect Durkon will be getting some center stage time at the final gate. [Of course, a good number of us were assuming Miko would be around a lot longer too, so don't bet the house on it.]

As in the past, loopholes in the predictions are unlikely. Cool happenings surrounding the event, however, are wide open. Thus it is highly likely that the first (and probably only) time he returns to dwarven lands is as a dead body. Everything else is up in the air.

This. The Oracle's predictions thus far have been coming true without loopholes. The issue has been with poorly-worded questions; the Oracle answers the question you actually ask him, even if that's not quite the same as what you think you're asking him.

Durkon's background has a lot of ground for plot developments.

For example, the new High Priest of Thor is actively lookink for Durkon (he sent him a letter and stuff), so Durkon might have some spotlight really soon. The Priest could finally contact him and Durkon should have to make a choice between returning home or staying with the Order. More so, Durkon could learn about the real reason why he was banned from returning home, and makes the active decission to not returning home, ever.

Or/and, when the Order finally travel to the last gate, they come close to the dwarven homelands, and decide to go there to resupply. As Durkon thinks he is still banned from returning, he refuses, the rest of the Order go there, learn that Durkon can return, then Durkon learns about the prophecy and decides to stay away anyway. But later he is killed and the Order decides to bring his body to the dwarven homeland, to have him resurrected or just so he can rest where he wanted to. Then Durkon is resurrected and the prophecy about the destruction of his home fires in.

Just suggestions that probably aren't gonna happen. The point is, Durkon's character is gonna have some spotlight and character developement, sooner or later.

Durkon was the first to have a spotlight, that fling with Hilga. He needs to get it more often though.
I like the above theory best so far.
