Gathering Intrest: Let's play my childhood

There have been many lets plays over the past years, most are hollow and just someone playing a game. I believe let's plays should be more then that,filled with energy and reason to exist, and such, I"ll be lets playing the games from my childhood(Starting with the worst, of course). It'll be a traumatic trip down memory lane and feature many insights into my own humanity. Would anyone even care? That's what I'm asking you all.

Pokemon Trading Card Game (On gbc)
Star Ocean 1 and 2

Keep in mind, these are the games that wasted away my child hood with mindless hours of playing time. I guess not all of them were bad.

The first few ones will be screen shots. Later ones I plan to use video for. Alright Voting time. Which of the two horrors shall I unleash upon the internet first. Pokemon Diamond? The poorly translated confusing abomination of ripoff? Or, Digimon World, the vitrual pet trainer that's tedious, and extremely hard?(Note: I may just abandon this LP at a certain point, although, less so since there is a competent guide out there that is certainly useful) You decide what torture awaits!

What's the pirated Diamond like, never heard of it?

Is Digimon World the on for the PS1? I think I've played that, was pretty tedious, but fun at times.

Whenever my old childhood friends and I gather together during our college breaks, we always end up playing childhood games as well. Of course, when I say childhood, I'm literally talking about second grade or third grade, long before Pokemon was ever even heard of on the western shore. I'm talking about games like Zoombini's Logical Adventure, Midnight Rescue, Outnumbered!, King's Quest, and the like.

That might not be what you're talking about, but those still bring fond memories to my mind.

And I remember playing the Pokemon TCG game for the gameboy...wow that was too easy. Blastoise Rain Dance combo deck was too broken for that game; having a fully charged Blastoise with a bench of 3 Articunos each with 4 energies by turn 2 was surprisingly easy to achieve consistantly.

I think Donkey Kong Country may have been my first exposure to the SNES, which I still believe to be one of the best consoles ever created. If you do a let's play of that, I'd love to watch it for the nostalgia factor.

I'm amazed by all the positive posts. Since no one responded to the vote(silly idea in the first place) I decided to start on Diamond. I already got the intro done but still fine tuning things and getting used to this whole thing

Also, I decided not to do that many LPs, the more obscure and important ones are the ones I should aim for. Wish me luck, all of you.

What is this?
This is a game made overseas originally called Keitai Denju Telefang. It was bootleged and poorly translated to other countries under the guise of Pokemon Diamond/Jade. You can read more about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keitai_Denj%C5%AB_Telefang

Why let’s play this?
Because it was one of the games I was obsessed with while I was a child. I want to share my…..love of this game to you. Filled with Engrish and brain scrunching…Ah…I can’t think of anything, my brain is all scrunched.

(Notes: The dialogue in this game is confusing and tedious. I’m going to have to use a lot of shortcuts while still remaining true to the original source and all of it’s mistakes. I’d like some advice how to better show the text. As of now, it has an awkward ring to it.

Turtle guy:--you to come here. Near the fountain of the village lives a guy name NETARO. He takes care of carrying water to the whole village. But, recently, we haven’t got him for many times. The village runs out of water and everyone looks very worried. We then want to see what happened to him. (So, this village get water from a guy named Netaro from a fountain and hasn’t come back. Ok, following so far but I have some question after this.)

Were on a quest for a lazy turtle-man thing who wants us to find the water carrier of the village and beat up his brother. Yeah, such a deep and exciting plot as this could of only……yeah, whatever. Chapter one will come soon considering It will take much less time than a pure text update. I can’t wait to actually start playing. Well, not really.
