"I felt a great disturbance. As if a million black dragons cried out and were instantly silenced."

"That's not moon. That's V's ego."

"If you strike me and my entire race down, I will become more powerful than you can every imagine."

Or am I the first to point this out? If I am, I'd like some sort of prize or congratulations, or a slave or something cool.

Actually, my first thought was a Star Wars reference via Futurama.

"Oh, the Jedis are going to feel this one..."

Belkar used a variation of that first one. "I feel a great disturbance... As if a million double entendres cried out, and were instantly silenced..."

Well, if you're referring to the entire comic, then V's two NOOOOOOOO!s reminded me of RotS.

"When we last met, Aarindarius, I was the student. Now I am the master..."

My favorite Star Wars reference was Xykon in the prequel book:
"Fear will keep the local nations in line. Fear of this Snarl."

One of the bonus comics in a book also featured storm troopers shooting at Elan and Julio Scoundrel as they escape Cliffport.

:vaarsuvius: "Unlimited POWER!!!"

I thought that when V did the big evil laughing scene.

Also, the IFCC look like tall, evil jawa's... just sayin'.

No. This cannot be referenced.

Only quotes from Obi-Wan, Yoda, Solo, and occasionally Palpatine may be used.

Unless they were really funny and/or memorable.

Elan: *Right before the battle of Azure City" Yousa thinkin' yousa people gonna die?

Zeitgeist

Nope. No lines from characters I did not list were funny/memorable. Except maybe Qui-Gon.

Sure they were. You know, to normal people...

I mean, you didn't even mention Vader. Darth Vader. One of the most infamous movie villians of all time.

Anyone notice how close trance-deprived V's complexion resembled what happens to the complexion of characters in the KotOR games as they go dark side?

Well, I did compare it to Order 66 in the Strip 639 thread.

The "preemptive self defence" justification closely matches Palpatines for killing the Jedi.

(some people claiming Kubota's killing was not murder used Mace Windu type justification "he can influence the courts- he's too dangerous to be left alive".)

"Strike me down..." has already been referenced.

"Lord Shojo" (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0524.html) would like to have a word with you (2nd page, 4th panel).

V, as a lizard, to Roy, after Belkar's "Can't trust you enough to believe you lied" comment:

"Give in to your anger, young Greenhilt! Strike him down and take your place at my side!"

No. This cannot be referenced.

Only quotes from Obi-Wan, Yoda, Solo, and occasionally Palpatine may be used.

I'll quote whoever I want as long as I think it is appropriate.

Roy: re making a good cleric

Roy: Hokey religions are no match for a good greatsword at your side.

Belkar's post-New Year's revelation:

Belkar: Beer is the path to the dark side. Beer leads to hangovers. Hangovers lead to late. Late... leads to suffering.

Paladins in defense of Azure City:

O-chul: If they do, you must realize there aren't enough paladins to protect Azure City. We are keepers of the gate, not soldiers.

Vader quotes can be used too. Actual Vader though, not that pathetic Anakin.

I disagree. Lando and Chewie should be added to that list. Also:

AZURE CITY PALADINS FIGHTING XYKON: Our saves can't repel spells of that magnitude!

How do you spell a wookie noise, anyway?

How about the good old "It's a trap"?

I find your lack of [insert quality here] disturbing.

Two? :smallconfused: I remember the 504 one, but what's the other one?

Zeitgeist

I'll go with Vader sometimes, and mayyyybe Lando. Chewie doesn't really have lines, so I don't think he counts.

My main point is that there are some that must be avoided!

Two? :smallconfused: I remember the 504 one, but what's the other one?

I misremembered 629. She does scream "No. NO!" though in 630.

In any case, it was that to which I referred.

Even Chewie's "lines" could be applied.

But, Elan's at least twice as smart as Jar Jar.

Huh I can't find it what page?

This page seems to be a collection of putting Star Wars quotes to Order of the Stick. Therefore, to me, this line seems like a logical conclusion of what would happen given page 96 of Start of Darkness.

It's a Leia quote. Kinda.

Hmm, I think Star Wars actually holds the answer as to why Belkar only likes killing things that are scared of him...

"Fear leads to anger,
anger leads to hate,
hate leads to suffering"

So, by extention, if they fear him, they suffer. Sweet, huh?
