Advice on speakers?

For reasons related to work, I can buy one set of computer speakers for about 1/4 of their price. I am not a huge audiophile. However, my current speakers have the annoying habit of picking up a radio station.

What should I buy?

what soundcard do you have?

It's an (original series) mac mini - not sure if it's integrated sound or what. I doubt it's 5.1 or anything.
