Mage Giants are a small type of giant. They are less sturdy than other gaints. Their skin is gray and they look most like less strong stone giants, to which they are related. They have however long gray to black hair on their head.

Mage Giants are a race of magical giants that live in small communities on difficult to reach mountain tops. Mage giants rarely leave their sheltered villages, and when they do they use spider climb or fly to get of the mountain. In these villages they survive by growing food which they specially addapted to growing high in the mountains, because of this mage giants have trouble digesting meat and prefer not to eat it.
Mage Giants only leave their villages to seek a partner. Every ten years all mage giants who are adult but have no partner, travel to a special mountain top together with one of their parents. At that mountain top they seek a partner in a process that lasts about a month. Afterwards the parents move back to their villages, while the new couples move with a parent of another couple to a new village.

Adult mage giants are about 11 feet high and weight about 1000 pounds. They can live for about a 1000 years. They speak can speak Giant, Common and Draconic, but do so rarely, mage giants speak to themselves a Giant like language, which is different from village to village.

Combat
In combat normally calm mage giants suddenly go into a rage, in which they instead of hitting the enemy use spells. During those rages they stand in one place and fire spells at one creature. They however chose their target carefully, often prevering to take out arcane casters first. If the enemies still stand after its rage, it will try to flee using spider climb and expeditous retreat.

Spells: A mage giant casts spells as a level 7 sorcerer. Typical spells known: (6/7/7/5; save 14+spell level):
0--Detect magic, Mage hand, Touch of fatigue, Ray of frost, Light, Ghost sound, Arcane mark
1--Summon Monster I, Magic missile, Color spray, Expeditious retreat, Silent image
2--Scorching ray, Ghoul touch, Spider climb
3--Vampiric touch, Slow

Arcane Rage (ex): Three times per day, a mage giant can, as a free action, go into a rage in which it can do nothing but cast spells. During these rages he gains a +4 bonus to Constitution and Charisma and +2 to Will saves. He can not however make any melee or ranged attacks during this raged, nor move away to avoid enemy melee attacks. During this rage it can make no Dexterity, Intelligence or Charisma checks, except for Balance, Escape Artist, Intimidate, Knowledge(arcana) and Spellcraft. This rage lasts for 3+Constitution modifier rounds. A mage giant can only go into rage once per encounter, and after the rage he is fatigued untill the end of the encounter.

Two questions: Does it have a good CR, or should it be higher?
And have I selected good spells for it?
