This thread serves the dual purpose of presenting my character concept for critique, and for giving my DM some hints into my character's history, personality, and motivations. Important to know, is that Tobi is a 4th-level Soulstitched (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4787303#post4787303) Medium (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59250) in a d20: Rebirth campaign.
Tobias E. Finche: Created as by a distraught father in an attempt to bring back his long-lost son, Tobi's first worldly action was to knock the old man out with a solid punch to the nose. After many nights of endless debauchery and mayhem, Tobi the soulstitched was beset upon by the pounding voices in his head. Four of them they were, trying to control him, forcing their altruistic aims upon the anarchic construct. Following a brief inner struggle, Tobi vowed to put a name onto these voices by finding out who they were in life.
Like any soulstitched, Tobi's gaunt frame is the combination of multiple skintones and varying limbs. His oddly-charming face is broken up by a long stitch running down its right side, with a gold-glowing crater replacing his right eye. With a terrifying glint in his emerald eye and a fearsome gash on his neck reminiscent of a maddened smile, Tobi strikes horror into his enemies, and awe into those whom he charms to his purposes. Taking up the mantle of a medium, the spirits of the departed crawl and churn beneath his stitched flesh, and the voices of the fallen lend him their strength.

Personality: Tobi is rash, often careless, yet oddly effective when put on the spot. He is knowledgeable in his chosen profession, as well as many others due to his former lives. Most importantly, he knows what he wants, and is determined to get it.
History: Through clever use of fear and manipulation, he has obtained many contacts in the criminal underworld, although one unfortunate meeting left him with a slashed throat and many other injuries. Now speaking with a raspy growl, he has not lost his charismatic appeal, and is still a masterful weaver of words.
Driving Motivations: Find all four of his former souls; name, occupation, anything that he can discover about their lives. He already knows of Tobias E. Finche and a paladin who lives to the east.

Personality: Tobi has no idea what he wants. Fearful of the voices who compel him to do things he would never do on his own, he struggles to silence their influence. Not nearly as scary or confident that he makes himself out to be, his bold behavior is a chance to rebel against the voices of law and good that permeate his psyche. Even worse, those very actions that would bring him comfort bring greater fears that his soul is beyond redemption by any god or cause.
History: Shortly after his creation, Tobi became indentured to a powerful noble (and criminal elite) named Von Braust, the soulstitched used the noble's contacts to his own personal gains, and earned the ire of Von Braust. On the night of his escape from servitude, Tobi ran right into Von Braun, who sliced open Tobi's neck and removed the soulstitched's left eye in the brutal conflict. Leaving his pride behind, Tobi fled with nothing but his life (barely), the knowledge he had earned, and a respectable bounty on his head.
Driving Motivations: Become a being whose will is nothing but his own.
