So my friend and I are "making" a system for doing massive battles in D&D, kind of mixing it with some stuff we like from warhammer to just make it all simpler. we're going to make test armies to see if the system works, and we decided on how many guys we each get and the ammount of gold.
I like kobolds, so I was going to obviously have some dire weasel mounted kobolds, unfortunately, I cannot find a cost for them (like the horses in ch7 of PHB).
We were thinking of just pricing them as a light warhorse (for a battle trained one at least).
Thoughts? Or if you have seen an actual price, that's even better :P

Any with Ranger or Druid levels get it for free.

Otherwise, it's close in power to a Wartrained Riding Dog, IMHO. Maybe a bit better.

Can't do it ranger/druid. Since we are doing massive battles all but the hero of each side has NPC class levels. The riding dog will work, but that ends up costing exactly the same anyway :smallsigh:

I don't have the book anymore, but I think Races of the Dragon might be the place to look for it. It does have this picture, after all:

The cost of Dire Weasels: too high.

Sorry, this is the result of a bit of a running joke me and my friends have. Apparently, they were once used as a trap on players searching for treasure, and it has since become a joke that anyone who opens a barrel or chest will be attacked by dire weasels. It is also a joke that their natural habitat in all future Monster Manuals shall be listed as "Barrels"

If you apply the warbeast template (MM2) to them you can buy them at 150gp each.

(It also lets you buy really silly stuff, but that's not the point.)

Bob's are actually stuffed animals, but don't tell the young druids.

Dire badgers are 100 gp in RoS. With a Rear DC of 16, a rearing cost of 15, and an upkeep of 8 gp/month.
