[3.5]Good Druid and/or Beguiler spells for a Spell Storing Weapon

In my current group, I'm trying to get myself a spell storing weapon...I have a Druid 9 and Beguiler 9 in my party as casters. What would be some good spells to place in a spell storing weapon? Poison springs immediately to mind...

Also, my character has recently gained a Ring of Counterspells - it currently has Hold Person upon it. What would you suggest as a common spell I'll need to defend myself against? I'm a Dragon Shamn with good Fort and Will saves, and a decent amount of hit points...

Ummmm, for the druid...Poison is about the best spell you can get. For beguiler, Whelm (PHBII), Hold Person, or Bestow Curse would be pretty good.

I'm guessing Poison would be the best you could get. Its a druid 3, so it just fits under spell storing. 1d10 Con damage on a failed save is pretty sexy. Usually foes won't live long enough for the secondary damage, but if they do, another save vs 1d10 Con damage!
